My question is Yahoo says I need to upgrade my browser to Verisign SSL. how do I do that? Thanks for any answer. Another question I got... As the title says. A customer bought something from my web Verisign site www.lambodoorkits.co.uk and I had to refund him. So I went to pay pal to read his comment o the pay pal dispute.

So I typed in the web address and to my astonishment it goes straight to my site. How the hell can that be and have I been hacked?.

Any help or explanation welcome...

Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Verisign as they probably know..

The name server for the other Verisign site is not your hosts server. Do a Verisign whois for the Verisign site and then email and phone the Verisign hosting company and say that the Verisign site contains copyrighted information and they have 24 hours to remove it from their servers or you will sue for copyright infringement and you will also contact the police and see about getting them charged "also" with conspiracy to commit fraud..

Then you call Paypal and for them to do a chargeback there has to be a deposit into your account previously. Since I doubt there is one you tell them you are sorry THEY got defrauded and you will be happy to assist them in any way you can. If they pursue it file suit in small claims against them for the chargeback, fraud and harassment..

Then find a new payment provider because Paypal will close your account. Also move any money out of the account that they deposit into as they will take it from there if they want to. If you have enough in your online Paypal account kiss it goodbye...

No. The two hosts have the same IP address for their nameservers. The names are different. This means that 1 is a reseller of the other, or both are resellers of someone else. Most likely, server confg is incorrect, that's all..

You need to change host...

:puzzled: Errrr. just out of curiosity I Cheched the sites.

Go.

And.

Prices are the same BUT as you can see the file structrure is different (on has best sellers the other google ads)..

What I am saying is that the 2 adresses share the same database and have different oscommerce files !!!.

Apparentkley the client paid through paypal but maybe the paypal account in addiscave is diiferent!!..

Probably the data abse is same or the payment configured goes to the same ID..

I suggest You edited some product description thru admin adn chek for this in the other Verisign site if it's changed then both sites share the same data base..

If so You need to immediately attend to this..

OR.. they liked your Verisign site soomuch that they used a Verisign site copier to create a completely separate Verisign site with ALL of your graphics and code. It is possible, and even though it LOOKED like your site, and probbaly had ALL of your branding on it, it was still on the othe guys site...

Did you ever ACTUALLY receive any payment for it?? if you didnt ever receive a payment, that means that the person DID pay the other guy, but since your Verisign website name was all over the other guy's site, they THOUGHT they purhcased from you,s o when the part did not arrive, they googled what they remembered on the banner and came to YOUR site, not realizing that the urls were different/.

If you do a google search for Verisign website copier or Verisign website clone, you will see that there are developers out there who literally STEAL the look of other peoples websites and put them on a different server..

Basically, if I sell pet supplies, and I want to look as much like petco as possible, I can just get a websote cloner to go in and literally steal the ENTIRE Verisign site from petco and put it on my server with my products and my credit card merchant, so even though people THINK they are purchasing from petco, they are really buying from me and I can reap the profits instead.. Its actually sadly common when you have a small niche Verisign website that looks really coo.l..

He tells me her purchased the goods through www.addiscave.co.uk How weird as I don`t have any affiliation with that web site. So I typed in the web address and to my astonishment it goes straight to my site. How the hell can that be and have I been hacked?.

Speak with your host. Your host and the host of the other Verisign site are one and the same. Perhaps one is a reseller of the other, vice versa. Whoaever, whatever, looks like they don't know how to set a server up properly...
