Hi everyone..

So, this morning I made the Christina's Snickers Bun (it was amazing, but I'll post separatly about that). When I figured out the calories, it was probably about 200 cals for the bun. Then, added my protein (70 cals) fruit (40). And for lunch today at work, I only have the Nutrisystem fettucinne alfredo (200 cals). Add my protein w/lunch (70) 2 veggies (70) and I'm already up to 650 cals. Then, I have my dairy/protein for snack (90) and fruit (40) and it's 780 Cals.

I know I want to stay around the 1200 mark, but this leaves me with only 420 cals left for dinner, the veggies w/dinner, dessert, fat and the dessert fruit..

Am I OK or what should I do here? Until I get home from work, I can't chose lower cal things. Next time, I will chose a lunch entree that's less in cals (like chix noodle soup rather than fett. alfredo)..

I agree with Kompukat - you'll have high days and low days and it will all balance out...

I agree also, the beauty of Nutrisystem is not having to count calories..

Good deal.....I know I'll probably be close to 1300 or over, but I guess I need to adapt the good thoughts on here that it will all even out in the end. Plus, I worked pretty hard on the treadmill this morning, so maybe 100 cals isn't going to break me!.

The Dietitians have said that 1250-1350/day is the average now for the Women's Basic Plan with under 100 pounds to lose...

I like to vary my calories so my body is continually guessing. For the same reason I change up my exercise, add-ins, veggies, fruits, anything I can daily. Some days I eat dinner at lunch, some lunch for lunch. I have better success this way than when I tried to eat 1200 calories on the dot. I just check and eat but try to get in a good variety...

Thanks Pam....I doubt I'll exceed 1350, so I'm probablyl still on target & in the appropriate range..

Jen, I have to agree with your theory and quite frankly, I have to do a better job at mixing things up for these last 5 lbs I'm trying to lose. I'm a creature of habit both with food and exercise. I seem to eat the same protein at lunch (string cheese) and for snack (oikos yogurt) and do the same work outs (running, since I know it usually burns the most calories). But, I agree that we almost need to surprise our bodies occasionally..
