My first question is: With "auto-renewal" option selected, does GoDaddy.com auto-renew the domain name for one year or two?.

My next question is: I gave these instructions on how to accept a HostGator at.

Godaddy.

As I learned from Dotweekly.com.

Hello XXXXX,.

It isn't a transfer, but rather a push from my Godaddy account to yours..

Below is the instructions for a push.

Go to the GoDaddy.com, Inc. home page and login, then select "My Account.".

Select "Pending Account Changes" located in the "My Account" box.

Check the domain(s) that you agree to change and then click "Quick Accept.".

Accept the agreements and click "OK." The domains will be processed and should appear in your account shortly.

If the Change of Account is not complete within 10 days, the transaction or Change of Account will expire.

I received this email today..

"I tried it that way, still hit a glitch and called tech support. No pending incoming or outgoing changes are in my account, but I can manually move it over.

However first you need to auto generate an email to me that has a transaction ID and Security Code for a pending account change. Once I have that I can make the change:.

Transaction ID:.

Security Code:.

I think you do this automatically out of your account.".

I haven't used GD in awhile, can someone refresh me on.

What I'm doing wrong...

Your question was: With "auto-renewal" option selected, does GoDaddy.com auto-renew the domain name for one year or two?.

1. Make sure that the option 'Enter new details' is highlighted..

2. Enter the email address of the recipient and confirm.

3. Click on "next" to go to the next page.

4. Enter all the details in required fields and click 'next'..

This takes you to a confirmation page..

You do not need the user name as well as contact email address to change ownership, the username is only an alternative to filling in the second page...

Looks like rough communication between seller and buyer..

The directions are correct for the Buyer. as the seller you need to start the account change / push the domain. once the seller has done that.. only then can the buyer accept the domain...

I've done this. It's still saying "changing accounts in progress". Should.

I cancel it and restart it.

I think he's confused on his end. Could I be anymore clearer with directions?..

Once you have pushed the domain, The seller will need to login and click quick accept..

(Changing accounts) generally means just what it says...
