First off, Who can explain the best, how Nutrisystem works? Thanks for any answer. Second question of mine... I am finishing up my first month with Nutrisystem and will be patiently waiting for my next shipment, which is shipped on the 24th. I have to say, this plan is not what I expected. Over the years, I have used other methods. I saw the ads for Nutrisystem but thought, how good could the food really be if it's diet and figured it was ridiculously too expensive for me to do it.
I know he couldn't see my face but my eyes were rolling back in my head because my feet hurt so bad when I walk and end up with swollen ankles.
This walk should be that hard. So, when we came home that evening, I was surfing the web and came upon the Nutrisystem add and clicked on the link. I know Marie Osmond lost weight that way and I usually don't buy into that type of advertising but, I had seen her on Dancing with the Stars when she passed out and her before pictures and her before picture looks similar to how I looked on my cruise last year, only of course, Marie is very beautiful, even 50 pounds heavier. But, seeing her after shot, just hit me and I thought, if she can do it, so can I so, I decided to give it a try and even got the great sale promo price, plus another $30 something off because of my health insurance. So far, my loss is slow - only 5 pounds in the month but, that's better than a 5 pound gain.
Actually, most of the choices for me are pretty good. Mind you, I am a great cook and so I'm somewhat particular but now certainly a picky eater, as I will try most everything once. I have found some things that I really love and a few things I really DON'T like but needless to say, I just didn't choose them for my next order. I notice some people on these boards dislike some of my favorites and I dislike some of theirs so, I know that I'm not going to like everything but find 85% of the food to my liking and satisfaction..
I was eating pretty poorly before. Not that I don't know how you are supposed to eat but, it was just too much to worry about every morning when I left for work but now, I keep some vegetables/salad fixings at work, as well as home, some fruit and my milk there as well and then all I have to do in the morning is pick out a Nutrisystem breakfast and lunch choice I want for that day. As for worrying about "what if we go to dinner", I just take that a day at a time and worry about it only if I have to and then just watch my choices so I can still enjoy a meal out on occasion. I am not being paid by Nutrisystem to say any of this, I am just an average person who thinks that Nutrisystem does a good job with their food and $228 (my cost after the sale and health insurer discount, per month for breakfast/lunch/dinner is pretty darned cheap if you ask me. I am really looking forward to my next shipment. Unfortunately, I lost about a week's worth of food when my freezer had an "issue" and defrosted some of my things before I knew what had happened.
I'm going to keep plugging on with this and hope to be in skinny clothes by the end of the year, if not sooner!..
I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could help you..
I was skeptical too, but I'm on 6 days and very happy I chose this program...
I am glad they came out with the frozen selections, I like all of them, just.
Wish we could choose our favorites from that menu too.....
With the "special" pricing, it's a great deal!.
Have to get this weight off before summer, have a new grandbaby coming.....
I too am finishing up my first month and have had some good success. Don't be discouraged by the 5 lbs. That's actually well within the healthy weight loss goal of 1-2 pounds per week. You acutally lost 1.25lbs per week and that's awesome! Some of us, myself included, have an initial rush of a lot of weight loss at first, then it slows way down after that. Don't let that discourage you either since it is only water weight we lost..
I would suggest you call customer service and see if they might be able to replace the lost frozen items. The only thing you will be out is the time to make the call. They also will replace meals you don't like if you call...
Thank you so much for this post! I am a trueNutrisystembeliever and have had great success even though it was slow. Slow is good, though, when it is all said and done. You have more time to really learn how to eat and how to cope with real world eating situations and a bonus for me was, even though I am 56, I did not add any new wrinkles to my skinI credit that to lots of water and slow loss. My goal was 55 pounds and I made it and so can you. I can so relate to the walk down the beachI used to dread walking anywhere and now I love walking anywhere and everywhere. Keep it up!..
Congratulations on your first month. You did great! Just keep on with the program as you have and the pounds will continue to melt away. When you find an exercise you like, it will make the weight drop off even more..
You're probably going to be the steady kind of weight loser, like me. I lost at about that rate. It's actually better for your body, gives it time to adjust, I think..
Good for you and keep posting to tell us how it's going!..
Congratulations sweetbaker57 and everyone else who has made the decision to lead healthier lifestyles! We are happy to hear that you all are enjoying the program!..
