which is better kodak c613 or HP Photosmart m447
Hi , I want some advice on what digital camera to purchase. I will beon vacation next month and I want to take some photos.what would yourecommend me to purchase ,the kodak c613 or hp photosmart m447 ?both are at the same price and has nearly the same features except that.

The hp m447 lays strong emphasis that it has the industry-leading red-eye removal.is the red eye removal of prime importance?i would appreciate any one's opinion..

Thanks..

I think you could do much better than that! Kodak/HP make some of the worst cameras on the market, even if cheap..

This camera will blow the socks off either of the models you listed..

If you up your price to ~$150, there are many more options...

The problem is that I am on a tight budget and cannot afford to buy even a camera that is a little expensive. I only have the choice between the 2 models I mentionned above.so what would be the best choice?..

As the previous poster noted, the Panasonic LS70 is within your price range and it gets very good user reviews, as does the Nikon L10 http://www.amazon.com/...41?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1191241324&sr=1-2..

Well, since you said opinion, and with the caveat that I've owned neither camera, I'll venture to suggest the Kodak. I've seen output from several low-cost Kodak cameras from friends and family, and they've all looked great. My dad's HP didn't fare so well (but it was a different, older model than what you're looking at). If you're thinking of buying a matching printer, I have owned both HP and Kodak printers (as well as an Olympus), and the Kodak 500 printer has much better output without having to manually fuss with optimizing image parameters (just set it to "natural," and beautiful pictures come out)..

Both cameras have a red-eye reduction flash mode (flash pre-fires to close subject's pupils before the actual picture is taken). The HP has an in-camera, post-exposure method to reduce any remaining red-eye effect. Every simple image editing software program that I've seen, including Kodak's Easyshare, has an automated red-eye removal feature. I wouldn't make that the primary purchasing criterion...

If those are truly the only choices in your market in your price range I'd recommend the the Kodak. I haven't used the the C613 but my son has a C533 and when we've shot side by side at airshows and car shows his photos stand up very well against my Z612 when we are shooting at comparable focal lengths...

HPs are noticeably noisy in the shadows, and especially in typical party type flash photos in the darker backgrounds. Even non-photo people notice that "grain" on regular 4x6 prints..

The Kodak may be very slow to shoot. Test it in the store to see if you can handle the shutter lagup to 1 full second to shoot (although I'm not familiar with that specific model). But Kodak P&S pics are better than HP...

Don't know about the 613 but the C533 shutter lag for the first shot is much faster than that. Shot to shot time may not be very quick...

Thanks for all response but now that someone mentionned the nikon L10 , I am now hesitating between the nikon L10 and the kodak c613. I was wondering if I can connect the camera to my tv for viewing the pictures!hope to get more suggestions before I make my purchase...
