First question I have is Which diet plan is better Atkins or Nutrisystem? Thanks for any answer. Second question of mine... I am new to a night shift position (less than 2 weeks) and very new to Nutrisystem (2nd day). I am struggling to figure out how to eat my meals to benefit me the most. I work 11-7:30 and I am usually home by 8am. I am in bed by 830-900 and sleep until 4pm or so when my kids get home from work.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can help you..

When I work nights I have my breakfast when I wake up. Then space the meals out through the day...

Hi there! It might take some trial and error, but you'll figure it out. Just sit down and plan the way that is best for you. Do you want to eat right before you leave home or wait til you get to work to eat? Do you want "b-fast" before your shift or "supper"...and the same question about when you wake up from sleeping. Do you like to eat something before you go to sleep? When are the times when you feel the hungriest? Then just space your meals and snacks during the times you are awake, just making sure that you eat everything called for in your planner during a 24 hour period..

Just go easy with yourself and give yourself time to figure it out...

I work midnights too and I usually eat breakfast when I wake up and then lunch at work and dinner during the night with my snack somewhere in between! the worst days are whenever I wake up early because I was off the night before and have to work that night because I'm starving during the night!!..

I find that eating breakfast -at least theNutrisystementre before I go to bed, helps me sleep until after noon. Then I eat the rest of breakfast (an egg and fruit) and go back to bed..

Then right before I go to work I have the lunch or supperNutrisystementre with a salad or coooked veggies..

At around 10pm I eat the missing snack from the day-yogurt and a fruit.

Around 3am I eat the last lunch or supperNutrisystementre(opposite of what I ate earlier) with a big salad..

5am I eat the dessert.

Back to 8am again, and I eat breakfast-starting the cycle over again.

This is on 12 hour nights 7:30pm-7:30am..

I work nights as well, and just eat like I normally would on a regular day. Breakfast when I wake up, morning snack two hours later, lunch two hours later, etc.....

That depends on how long you get to sleep before you wake up to make that work. Since I flip shifts, I don't often sleep the whole day through. On the plan I'm on, I don't get a morning snack, so I space out breakfast items...

I also work night shift - 12 hour shifts - I usually eat my breakfast when I get home in the morning. Have my lunch when I wake up (late afternoon) and save my snacks and dinner for during the 12 hour shift. On my days off, I tried to switch back to a "normal" person but a lot of time I miss a meal in the switch. I also found that the lunch bars are great because I can eat them while I am driving to work. Hope this is helpful and hope that you adjust to nights - goodluck !!..

Thank you very much for your suggestions. I have found that if I eat breakfast at 8am right before I go to bed I can sometimes sleep until 330-400 when my kids get home from school. I then try eating my lunch and some snacks. Dinner I try to have around 300am. So far it is working well but I will see and use everyone's suggestions...
