I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I got an useful answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..
It's fine. If you add an extra 100 calories of salad into your diet, that is really not that much calories and it is a huge amount of bulk. Will keep you from cheating...
Hmmmm salsa.... I love the stuff - I might have to try that. Might be better for me anyways instead of the FF dressing..
You didn't get fat eating salad. Eat as much as you want. watch the dressings, though .... try some Mrs. Dash with your low cal FF dressings to pump it up a little..
You gotta fill the void somehow 'til your stomach shrinks back to normal human size. Salad is best. Lots of water helps too..
Just a few more days, man. You'll be fine. You're going through some of the physical cravings now I would imagine. That stops - then you need to deal with the mental/psychological hunger and cravings...
My opinion, the short answer is "no"..
But to the point, you could be a bit off-center on a couple of concepts if you eat a bushel of salad twice a day..
First, if it completely replaces other things you are supposed to also be eating, that might not be good in the long run. Vitamins and minerals from other foods can be important for good NUTRITION as well. I suppose you could change the salad to adapt, but eating varied foods is less boring and good for you (another "lesson" we're all supposed to learning on NS)..
Secondly, eating volumes because you are hungry is something you are supposed to change as well (another "lesson" to learn). In other words, you are supposed to be in charge of eatingit's not supposed to drive you..
It would be like saying "I'm doing better because I'm eating 120 rice cakes per day...."not so much..
Is the goal JUST to lose weight or is it to learn the various lessons at the same time weight drops?.
* right portion.
* right times (frequency).
* right variety of nutritious foods (balanced).
* increased water.
* increase activity/exercise.
And so on..
NS would hope you learn a number of lessons..
The salads won't hurt you and they are a good choice. But like anything else, consider them in the bigger picture and use them as a tool..
My 2 cents.
Right now I am just eating 2 salads a day. I honestly haven't had to many hunger pangs which is what I remembered from a year ago when I did this..
The amount of salad I eat a day is one of those small bags a day. As far as dressing I (luckily) have never been a big dressing guy. Its always less is best for me...
I usually have salad at lunch time, but I wonder if you can substitute other veggies if you don't really want another salad...
I'd say that's kind of a nice problem to have, it could be worse, try too Much Pizza, or too much Ice cream, My comfort foods..
Sure. You can have two veggie servings in place of the salad, or even with the salad as many of the veggies are unlimited...
