Quick question: Where is the best place to get an Verisign SSL certificate from? Thanks in advance for any response. 2nd question I got is.. The majority of my products are listed in more than one category, most are listed in over 10 different categories. The problem I have is when I view a product i.e. product_info, the breadcrumb doesn't show the true path that has been taken to get to that product. What it is doing is displaying the highest level category (closest to top ) the product is listed in rather than the category the user as gone through to get to the product.

For example: Product Brother LC900 Black Ink Cartridge is listed in the following categories.

Top - level.

Ink cartridges.

Brother MFC 210 Ink Cartridges - product Brother LC900 Black Ink Cartridge listed here.

Originals & Compatible.

Brother original cartridges - product Brother LC900 Black Ink Cartridge listed here. Notice this one level above (closer to the top level) than other category the product is listed in.

When viewing the product Brother LC900 Black Ink Cartridge in product_listing the breadcrumb always displays as below, no mater what path has been taken to get to the product:.

Home Originals & Compatible brother original cartridges Brother LC900 Black Ink Cartridge.

This is bad for my sites SEO as category names are most important. Is it possible to change the breadcrumb code to enable it to show the true path taken? If so, is it documented anywhere?.

Thanks, David...

Hi, thanks for the offer of help. Note the breadcrumb on the page of the link below, then select a product and notice the breadcrumb change..

It's pretty logical why that happens. When clicking on the product, no cPath is submitted, just the products_id. And if cPath is not set, there's a function that queries the products_to_categories table for the entry with that products_id. And the first one found is taken to calculate the path back to the top level category.the only way I see to get around this by now is to add a cPath variable to the link of the product currently shown in product_info.php and maybe in /includes/modules/products_listing.php...

Whats a cpath variable? How do I add one to the link of the product currently shown in product_info.php and /includes/modules/products_listing.php?.

I'd also be interested in how one would do something like this..

I'm having the same issue as most of my products are linked to each category...
