First question I have is Where is the best place to buy Nutrisystem/lean cuisine meals? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. Second question of mine... Hi everyone!.

I was thinking, I seem to get into a routine of eating the same things over and over (but I really don't mind because I DO love them!)..

Now, do you have any entrees that you prepare in any special ways? Do you add or change them or use them to make a creative and delicious recipes? Please share!!!.

I'll start. Here's one of my favorite ways to eat the Nutrisystem Microwaveable Chocolate Cake. I have posted this before, but if you haven't seen it yet, I encourage you to try it!.

Hugs,.

Lindsey.

********************.

Here's my recipe, it's EASY to make. Let me know what you think! The SF applesauce makes it nice and moist..

Lindsey's Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake.

1 Nutrisystem Microwaveable Chocolate Cake packet.

1 tsp Splenda.

Tsp baking powder.

1 Tb SF applesauce (calories saved from a bit of fruit serving).

1 tsp vanilla extract.

2 oz. water.

1 tsp peanut butter (or 1 or 2 tsp reduced fat PB, depending upon your brand's nutritional counts).

NOTE: I am now using 2 Tb PB2 mixed with 1 Tb water = 1 Tb peanut butter!.

2 tsp SF chocolate syrup (optional).

Mix together first 6 ingredients in small bowl, then pour into ramekin sprayed with Pam. Microwave for 1 to 1 minutes (depending on your own microwave). Turn out onto a small plate to cool for 5 minutes. Cut in half crosswise and 'frost' each half with the peanut butter. Drizzle with 2 tsp SF chocolate syrup if you desire, and enjoy a GREAT treat!.

Counts as: 1 Nutrisystem Dessert Entree, 1 Fat, 1 Free Food (optional SF chocolate syrup).

********************.

I can't wait to see your responses!.

I LOVE looking for new ways to prepare my Nutrisystem entrees and I just KNOW you all have a TON of recipe ideas out there to share with all of us! Please post them here so we can all enjoy your DELICIOUS creations!!!!!.

My favorite is a dinner entree using the lasagne with meat sauce:.

Dice & saute some mushrooms & onions til they are nicely well done..

Heat some frozen spinach..

Heat the Nutrisystem lasagne for about 30 seconds (this makes it more pliable).

Carefully disassemble the lasagne, layering the onion, mushroom & spinach between the layers as you reassemble..

Microwave for the full 90 seconds..

Serve atop a large serving of spinach, top with FF sour cream or (my favorite) NF Quark and sprinkle with some parmesan..

1 dinner entree.

2 veggie servings.

2 free foods.

Lunchtime using almost any Nutrisystem lunch entree:.

1 Nutrisystem lunch entree.

2c diced veggies.

1 1/4c low sodium chicken broth.

Saute veggies in a saucepan til they get to desired tenderness..

Add low sodium chicken broth and thoroughly heat..

Add almost any Nutrisystem lunch entree (minnestrone, cheese tortellini, chicken & noodles, ham & bean soup....etc.) and thoroughly heat..

Serve in a large soup/pasta bowl, top with FF sour cream or NF Quark, sprinkle with a little parmesan..

1 lunch entree.

1 equivalent salad (2c diced veggies).

2 free foods.

Breakfast (used frequently courtesy of other NS'ers).

1 Nutrisystem pancake mix (any flavor).

3/4c grated zucchini.

1T ground flaxseed.

1/4c skim milk.

Cinnamon to taste.

Mix all the above together and cook on a hot griddle (makes about 3 cakes).

Dice 1 apple, sprinkle w/cinnamon & microwave 90 seconds. During the summer months, try this with a fresh peach!.

Top pancakes with hot apple mixture, drizzle with SF maple syrup..

1 breakfast entree (zucchini is unlimited).

1 fruit serving.

2/3 fat serving (flaxseed).

Add some sort of protein serving (fried egg, yogurt, etc.)..

Realizing it is some kind of peanut butter... What is PB2 and where does one find it?..

It's powdered peanut butter with 75% less fat than regular peanut butter. Mix with water and reconstitute it. Not available in stores, you can buy it directly from the manufacturer at.

I think you can find it on ebay too, but it's kind of expensive on ebay...

My favorite breakfast is a simple granola yogurt parfait! So simple and yummy and you can change up the falvors of yogurt for variety. You can also layer your fruit in there but I like to save mine for my morning snack which is a smoothie made from frozen fruit and yogurt blended.

I am going to try some of those danish I have been reading about but it is hard to give up my parfait :P.

Lunch is hard for me because I am working so I usually just have a trail mix bar and a V8..

My favorite dessert is the micro choc cake mix with 1 packet of splenda, a dash of vanilla, a couple of walnuts chopped and a teaspoon of SF choc chips. I use cold coffee instead of water and top it with frozen FF cool whip. This gets me through every day knowing ill end it all with this cake.

Good luck everyone! 11 down.....a bunch to go!..

I dislike the macaroni dish so much that I have 4 leftover from the first order I received. So, to make them easier to eat, I mixed in a serving of Nutrisystem chili with one serving of cooked Nutrisystem macaroni. It is a huge dinner, or 2 servings. I topped it with oyster crakers and it tasted ok...

I love this one! Take a Nutrisystem chicken breast, cooked, slice it into 5 or 6 strips. Place these strips on a fat free tortilla wrap, add fat free shredded cheese and a dab of fat free sour cream. You have a delicious lunch! I usually eat the chicaken breast plain on a wheat roll, but this recipe adds a little more flavor...

I just tried this the other night and it was awesome. Fix the fajitas as per directions. I added in some chili powder. Can add extra onions and peppers if you like. Take a lite flat out toritilla (90 Cal) or your fav. toritilla.

Put half fajita on top, 1/4 cup ff cheddar cheese and a little enchalada sauce (very low in calories). Repeat layers and bake at 400 for about 15 to 20 minutes. This was sooooo gooood..

Another favortie is to take one regular pancake mix. Add a pinch of baking powder, a couple of tbsp. of splenda, 1/3 cup pineapple juice & a tsp of vanilla. In a mini loaf pan sprayed with pam, sprinkle a tbsp. splenda and top with a tablespoon or 2 of crushed pineapple. Pour pancake mixture on top.

I use as either a breakfast or dessert. Is awesome with some ff redi whip...

Everyone talks about how much they hate the Cranberry Orange thingie, but I love it broken into bite-size pieces and mixed with sliced strawberries and vanilla yogurt. Tastes like strawberry shortcake...

Cranberry Orange thingie is great as a "bread pudding" - but then so are the dreaded Blueberry Muffins..

One complete breakfast in a bowl. I love them both and so very easy to make. Was glad to find this when the "subs" started coming out. Now I order both in my regular Auto Delivery.

1 pkg Nutrisystem Blueberry muffins or Cranberry Orange Pastry.

1/4 c egg beaters.

1/4 c FF milk.

1 tsp vanilla extract.

1 tbsp splenda.

2 tbsp blueberries or cranberries (I use dried).

Sprinkle of cinnamon splenda blend (optional).

A few sprays of butter spray.

Preheat oven or toaster oven to 400 degrees. Spray a single serve cassarole dish with cooking spray. Break the muffins up into pieces and put into the cassarole dish. In a small bowl, mix together the egg beaters, milk, vanilla, and splenda. Pour over the muffins pieces. Sprinkle the blueberries on top if desired and sprinkle with a blend of cinnamon and splenda.

Depending on oven)...

My favorite is to take this Nutrisystem recipe and modify it to make cookies..

Pumpkin Pie Breakfast Cake.

Use this recipe to make a delicious Pumpkin Pie Breakfast Cake using the NutriSystem Pancake Entree..

What I do is to add 1 fat exchange of nuts and then instead of putting the misture in a pan I place 9 separate "cookies" on a microwave baking sheet. I cook them about three minutes, which is enough for my MW but might vary with ovens. It makes nine wonderful cookies..

I have an upside down work schedule and work nights so this makes a wonderful breakfast treat for me when I am working or I switch my meals around and have it for my evening snack when I have a day schedule..

And I don't use the FF topping...

I have created a recipe using the Florentine Sauce with Chicken Fettucini dinner item. I have submitted it to Nutrisystem for review as well....

I call it Chicken Florentine Corn Chowder.

What you do is :.

In a small saucepan start cooking:.

1/2 c frozen or canned corn.

1 c Fat Free Low Sodium Chicken broth.

1 package Florentine Sauce with Chicken Fettucini.

1/2 -1 tsp garlic powder or granulated garlic.

1 tsp (or more to taste) ground sage.

Mix all together and let simmer 5-7 minutes until it has created a thicker chowder consistency... then add salt and pepper to taste (I never use real salt I always use the no salts (made with potassium)...but taste the same to me).

I have made it a couple times and duraniechick another nutrisystem member has also tried it many times as well and loves it....

Try it out.....

I do something similiar to this:.

Ns pancake mix.

1/4 cup pumpkin(free food or 20 calories).

1/4 cup egg whites( replaces the milk in the pancakes).

1/4 cup Davinci caramel sf syrup (added flavor and moisture).

1 tsp baking powder.

1-2 tsp pumpkin pie seasoning.

Mix dry ingredients and then add the rest. Pour into the small corning ware baking dish and bake about 30 min at 350. You could also make them into muffins. I like the egg whites for my baking because it make the muffins lighter than with the egg beaters...

I made a pumkin one this morning and used Paul's Bundt cake and used pumpkin in place of applesauce and put in Pumpkin pie seasoning...

I love to use the basic Paul's Bundt Cake recipe but instead of the applesauce I buy the 2nd stage baby food fruits and use those for my fruit. I bake it in the toaster oven at 400 for 20 minutes in a corningware single serve casserole dish - works great and I can have a different "cake" every morning if I want and still stay on plan!.

Heck I've even had a carrot cake muffin doing this that some have looked at and asked if I'm still on "that diet"?..
