I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an decent answer. You should email the people at Verisign as they probably could help you..
Dear Coopco,.
Thanks for your reply..
To be practical, how should I do that? 1. 2. 3 ....
Thanks again,.
Regards,.
Nathali..
Your Verisign hosting company will be able to talk you through the steps of password protecting your Admin (or any other folder)...
Depends on your web host control panel..
With mine, I click on the "root folder" which is my Verisign domain name..
The folder that has my admin has a little icon on it's left that says view folder properties when I hover over it..
I click on the icon..
Then at the bottom of the screen there is a tab that says protect..
You take it from there. Yours may be different but it should be similar...
Thanks for your replies Hotclutch & Coopco !.
Coopco, I followed your order and I found it..
Thanks a lot dear !.
Regards,.
Nathali..
Hi dear members,.
I would like to make my admin login more secured..
For example, to prevent access to edit the php files from the admin panel, also to prevent modifying any data unless you enter "modifying password" .. etc...
Is there any ready contribution for this, or I will have to rent a coder to do the job?.
Any advises please?.
Thanks for your attention & great day to all of you...
Nathali..
The RC versions are protected by password access. Prior versions needed the admin directory password protected. You can do this via your webhosts control panel filemanager...
