Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at Verisign as they probably could answer your Verisign question..

Thanks for the response..

The instruction are not that clear, they say:.

This code will remove the entire right side column:.

<td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">.

<! right_navigation //>.

<?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES'column_right.php'); ?>.

<! right_navigation_eof //>.

</table></td>.

- do I paste this code into each file or is there something I am missing? What exactly should I comment out?.

Thanks..

Comment #2

The instructions show the code that makes the column appear. What they left out is the direction to delete that code. I prefer to comment out the code and if you want it back in, it is already there..

Substitute this code for what is in your file:.

/*<td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">.

<! right_navigation //>.

<?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES'column_right.php'); ?>.

<! right_navigation_eof //>.

</table></td>*/.

Although I believe this would work as well:.

<td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">.

<! right_navigation //>.

<?php //require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES'column_right.php'); ?>.

<! right_navigation_eof //>.

</table></td>.

Remember to back up your files first......

And I should only do it to files that contain this code under the catalog........correct? thanks for your help with this..

Comment #4

Yes, only files in your root directory or the catalog directory if that is where your index page is located...

I tried your code this morning and it did the following:.

- it didnt remove the right column.

- it left a /* and */ under the header on the left side.

I doubled check each file to make sure I copied/pasted it correctly..

Any suggestions?.

Thanks..

Update: I used the following code and it worked:.

<?php /*<td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">.

<! right_navigation //>.

<?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES'column_right.php'); ?>.

<! right_navigation_eof //>.

</table></td>*/ ?>.

Does any see any issues with what I have done?.

Thanks..

I would comment out the code and leave it in place rather than deleting it altogether. You still need to alter every file mentioned in the instructions you referred to..
