First question I got is Whats the most weight anyone has long in 2 weeks on the Nutrisystem plan? Thanks for any answer or 2. Another question... On the "Extras" side of the grocery list, it says "limit to 3 servings a day." Is that total from the whole list, or does that mean three of any and all items on that list?.


Confused but losing weight!!!!..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..

The way I understood it was that we could have unlimited amounts of the things that say "unlimited" and then any combination of 3 things that are not unlimited on that list - not just 3 total including the ones that say unlimited - but maybe I'm wrong...

Anything that is sodium-free and zero calories are not limited (i.e. coffee, tea, artificial sweeteners, white/red/apple cider vinegar, etc.). If it has any calories or sodium, then it is limited to a max of three per day not to exceed 20 calories per serving..

But as pointed out earlier, free foods are not without calories. For many the additional 60 calories will not impact weight loss. For some it may...

Where is this grocery list that says "3 extras"? I have heard mention of that but don't see it..

Oh now I see that my grocery guide under Extras has Limit 3 to 3 servings under "sugar free foods"..

But I have a question... when I am filling out my online tracker it has the "add more food to Lunch" .. I am guessing that is for the extra's... but it doesn't limit me. Shouldn't there be something to tell me, hey you have used up your protein servings, or don't add another dairy?..

Silly question....why cant you have all 3 freebies together... I wanted to make a chocolate covered frozen banana and I needed more than the one serving of syrup to satisfy sweet tooth, but had not had any extras throughout the day, I usually dont use them at all.....Just wondering why it makes a difference..... Thanks..

Because they said so!.

We've been told that 3 free foods combined would be considered a carb. That is probably true of the items that have calories...

The reason is the science behind the Low GI Carb plan. Eating 1 cup of air-popped popcorn (20 calories) is an "extra" or a "free food" since it shouldn't negatively impact your blood sugars. Eat 3 cups of air-popped popcorn and it becomes a CARB. That is just one example of why 20 calories of a food is an "extra" and adding the 3 together makes it a carb...

Okay, but what I don't get then is Why can't she just count that as a carb? Is there anywhere that says we only get X # of carbs? As I look at "My Meal Planner" is doesn't limit anything. Why can't one just go to "Add more food" and put in whatever she wants. I think I am missing the elephant in the room...

Women with under 100 pounds to lose only add a CARB serving if their entree calls for a small roll or tortilla. If she wants to add a CARB (i.e. the 3 cups of popcorn) instead of the small roll with the hamburger, for example, that is on plan. I guess it boils down to how closely one wants to follow the plan 100%...
