Good question... I dunno what is the answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..
That was my critique as well. I tried it once and just couldn't do it again. Its like biting into a sack of jelly...
From the title, I thought this was another thread about farting..
I don't mind the hotdog myself, added an pickle slice, raw chopped onion, and just an dash of ketchup and mustard, fits me good...
The hotdog was one of the first items I decided not to get anymore. No doctoring can fix that thing...
I haven't tackled my wiener yet..
I'll just gag it down and mark it off my list so it doesn't come anymore...
I buy Hebrew National Fat Free hot dogs and wouldn't try the Nutrisystem version for anything!.
I have two HNFF on one bun for a dinner entre. You could probably have two buns since you are a guy and all. (more carb allowance.).
(excuse the intrusion......)..
For me, some of the Nutrisystem items were simply not food. I basically closed my eyes and ate them as best as I was able..
Wasn't upset or disappointed. Didn't complain. Didn't pick a couple items to say that the whole program food content was crap, or anything else..
I never expected the food selections to be "good". I was hoping for "mostly edible" and my impression was that most of the stuff was better than that. So it beat my expectations (which were pretty low)..
I could eat everything but the two wraps. I couldn't even look at those things. So I simply adjusted the next orders. Of course the "free food" inclusions were? Yup, hot dog and wraps (lol)..
Seriously, my dog wouldn't eat the wrap. Not even kidding, there..
Most of the stuff was okay so I focused on that. No different than some real food choices as far as I'm concerned. I try to eat what is "right" rather than what I like. Every morning I have a few bites of cottage cheese so I can get dairy/proteinI HATE cottage cheese and milk (and yogurt). But I make myself eat a little because it's the right thing to do..
Compared to that the hotdog wasn't a big deal for me.
I actually really like the buffalo chicken wrap, I just put some hot sauce on it and it was pretty good, really runny though. I really haven't found anything that was inedible yet, the pea soup was close, but I (like you said) wolfed it down and just adjusted my next order. I'm with ya, I had really low expectations for the food. I did a lot of research on the internet before joining and there were many many reviews who said the food was comparable to dog food. I think that just as long as you can eat chef boyardee and dinty moore you can stick to this diet. Has anyone tried any of the Select items yet? I was thinking about ordering that week trial...
As for the hot dog, tons of mustard and tons of sour kraut..
