Your question was: Whats better yahoo web host or Godaddy?.
It's an old Arbitration decision folks It's missing too many 0's to be current..
Eh....it takes my breath away too see the "past"..
...not a auction ,but the complaint fee cost = 1500 $ ...(hem,mistake for me).
But it's old decision... (2000)..
The name went to UDRP in 2000 - one of the arguments stood that "Electronic Commerce Media, Inc" the complainant suffered business damages from clients believing they owned EC.com and by virtue of the sales message on the site. The panel awarded the HostGator to Electronic Commerce in UDRP, and today it is parked by a domainer.
Morals of the story: History, d'oh! Also, use use use!..
The old registrant was trying to sell it for $1,500 before they took it away from him...
So they wipo'd someone, then sold it?.
Here's who owns it I think;.
Thought i'd seen it mentioned before http://www.dnforum.com/f4/ec-com-app...ead-15340.html..
>>>the old registrant was trying to sell it for $1,500 before they took it away from him <<<.
Ha ok ,the urdp/wipo price is $1500 too... it's for my mistake http://www.wipo.int/about-ip/en/stud...main_names.htm..
That`s even more amazing.....so that company who did reverse hijacking than he sold it to "Fearless".......Does anyone know for how much?..
Thats interesting..the name was appraised to mid xx,xxx to high xx,xxx even in 2002..
Today, it would be worth around 250-300k.
LL.com values haven't shot up as much as I'd thought. LLL.com, on the other hand, have risen a lot lot more...
No. but i'd guess $15-20k. just a guess double that , maybe more..
I wouldn't say so..bf.com went for 250k, I think. Thats a better name than Ec.com any day for me.
Its amazing though...LLL.coms can go for 100k, while LL.coms are still hovering around the 250k mark..
Probably because no one can afford them......not many sales......
Actually many people can. There are many members here who can afford a 250k name. DNF has more than one millionaire..Adam Dicker is definitely one who could afford 250k..
"The evidence shows that, in July 1997, Mr. Hart acquired the ec.com HostGator name from a third party for $1,000."..
Yeah I heard knwo someone 2 LL.org via HostGator dispute.
N he lost both of it..sad....
Check some past sales. TV.com was sold for 15k.
That name today is worth well over 10 million.
But then, someone also regged Business.com for $70....
LI.com and AZ.com both sold for $500k this year.
BF.com was a forum sale, lol.
Proves my point.
Imagine if they had conducted a sale at a big auction? or waited for an enduser.
And actually although BF is amazing, EC is a tad better imho.
ECommerce? Just for one.
Econic Community. List is endless.
Either way $500k plus. Possibly a mill on it's day..
I'll agree, and I'll disagree.
Frankly, with names as rare as these, you can't really predict the selling price. There are so infrequent sales to compare them against. At best, you can predict the minimum. All I can say is that Ec.com would go for 250k minimum. It might sell for 246k, or it might sell for 600k. Its too unstudied a market to predict....
