First question I got is What is your favorite Nutrisystem Smart One's dessert? Looking forward for any response. Another question I got... I am looking for something different to do with these vegies...any ideas would be great!!.

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could help you..

Roast them, grill them. I love steamed asparagus with some lemon-pepper sprinkled on top. Mash/whip your butternut squash with some ICBINB and some brown sugar splenda or SF maple syrup...

Check out Lynn (aka Graylady) recipe list...she has some asparagus recipes that are excellent...I usually just steam it and sprinkle with balsamic vinegar and flavored oil (for my fat serving). It's good in the lunch soups, too...especially the cream of broccoli one with an added piece of laughing cow cheese..

Butternut squash is a carb serving I THINK...cut into strips, roast in a 450 degree oven with a little sea salt...like french fries...but somewhere there is an official recipe, and the correct quantity to consume....maybe someone else can fill in that data?.

Normally, I simply bake the whole thing in the oven for about an hour til soft...(forked in a few places so it doesn't explode!) - scrape out the insides and mash the pulp, It replaces pumpkin or sweet potatoes in several recipes, like bread or muffins, but don't think it is truly Nutrisystem friendly..

I also do as HGHMOM suggested..mash, and add maple syrup, a dash of FF half and half, some cinnamon, and sometimes pepper...

I actually had the opportunity to taste the butternut squash grated up like cheese over a salad and was shocked how good it tasted. I love cheese and thats a big no no on this diet so instead I use the butternut squash and it works great..

I steam the asparagus and add about 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil. You can add balsamic vinegar or lemon juice. If I have any leftovers, I cut it into 1" slices and serve it on top of a salad, or make a veggie pizza with asparagus, red peppers and onions...

Regarding the butternut squash, I like to cut it up into chunks, spray a small casserole dish w/ PAM put in the chunks of squash and sprinkle with Mrs. Dash table top mix. It is so yummy! Give it a try...

I just love grilled asparagus!.

Put on salads, too after grilling...

Peel and chop the squash, top with diced pear and 1/2 fried onion, a little Splenda brown sugar and a few squirts of ICBINB. Toss and bake...

Had a bad textural experience the last time I ate squash and I've avoided it like the plague ever since...
