My 1st question is: What is the song in the Nutrisystem commercial? Thanks for any answer. Second question.. Good Morning CSG!.

I hope each of you are doing well this morning on the first day of March. Yay...Spring is just three weeks away now..

Focusing on today only...that can be a tough one. It's so difficult to leave tomorrow to God and not worry about the "what if's" in life. It's anxiety-producing and causes us to worry and fear what may happen in our lives. The enemy preys upon our minds with worry, fear and anxiety. Let's focus on giving up some (if not all) control in our lives to our Lord. He will see us through each day.

Have a Blessed day and enjoy the devotion..

Enter Into Green Pastures.

By Emmie Stanley.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;.

He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul (Psalm 23:4, NKJV)..

Oh how those words pour down into my soul like a cup of fresh cool water on a hot day. Sometimes we feel like sheep that are being preyed upon by dangerous animals. We can feel so defenseless in all the chaos and upheaval of the world around us, as well as in our own personal challenges. We can even allow ourselves to be harassed by things that are only real in our own imagination, things we see coming in the near future that cause us to be fretful about what might happen. The bible calls that worry, fear, and anxiety..

When I find myself in that place, I sense His sweet Spirit ask me the question Can you just do today?.

Our Father has promised to give us what we need for each day and He tells us to live one day at a time. Then we just respond to what He puts in front of us for today. He has promised to meet our every need and He will do so faithfully. As we fix our eyes on His goodness and mercy we will experience green pastures and still waters in the midst of all that each day brings..

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it's own things. Sufficient for the day is it's own trouble (Matthew 6:34, NKJV)..

Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? (Matthew 6:25-26 NKJV)..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably know..

Becky Hope you're better soon. A cousin of mine was in Les Miserables when he was in high school too what a wonderful play. He was one of the guys who fall off the barricade near the end of the play. How great to be able to see the ballet as well! You must have seen The Black Swan with Natalie Portman. Trying to get my hubby interested in seeing that one! Take care and have a blessed day...

What's the best investment you can make with your life? The gospel presents us with a paradox: we lose what we keep, and we gain what we give away. When we lose our lives for Jesus Christ, we gain a priceless treasure and an inheritance which lasts forever. Whatever we give to God comes back a hundredfold. Generosity flows from a heart full of gratitude for the abundant mercy and grace which God grants. Do you give freely and generously? And why do you give, for reward or for love?.

Right after a wealthy young man refused to follow Jesus, Peter, somewhat crudely wanted to know what he and the other disciples would get out of it since they had freely accepted Jesus offer to follow him unconditionally. Jesus spoke with utter honesty: Those who left all for him would receive a hundred times more now, even in this life, as well as unending life in the age to come. Jesus disciples can expect opposition and persecution from those who are opposed to Christ and his gospel..

Should we be surprised if we lose favor and experience ridicule, intimidation, and injury when we take a stand for truth and righteousness? In place of material wealth, Jesus promised his disciples the blessing and joy of rich fellowship with the community of believers. No earthly good or possession can rival the joy and bliss of knowing God and the peace and unity he grants to his disciples. The Lord wants to fill our hearts with the vision of heaven and with his joy and peace. Do you know the joy of following the Lord as his disciple? Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with the joy of the gospel and the knowledge of Gods personal love..

Let Us Pray.

Lord Jesus, I want to follow you as your disciple and to love you wholeheartedly with all that I have. Fill my heart with faith, hope, and love that I may always find peace and joy in your presence. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen...

As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil..

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.".

Good Morning.

Pat.

~.

I hope you're having a good morning. Glad to hear you've got warm sunshine this morning after some snow. We've got a rainy day here in central Florida. It's dry out, so the rain is very welcome. Have a wonderful day my friend and thank you for sharing today's Gospel...

Good morning everyone, it is a beautiful sunny day here, but yesterday we had bad storms all around us, but we were spared anything bad, it just got real dark and rained really hard for a few minutes, but people in other areas nearby weren't so fortunate. I know God was watching over us..

On a sadder note, we have had 4 people that we have known and loved for years pass away in less than a week. One was a husband and wife that we used to go to church with, and they died a day apart from each other...

Oh Edna, I'm so sorry for your many losses in one week. How sad. Will be praying for God's comfort upon you and all the families..

Just a quick drop by to wave hello. Busy day at work today. I'll try to be back to chat more later...

Good morning all-.

Lisa and Pat- Thank you so much for the words of encouragement..

Edna- Sorry to hear of your lose. My heart goes out to you as you grieve...

I hope you had a wonderful day, too, dear friend! I was able to spread some sand over the entire driveway and walkway while it was still morning so the sun had a chance to melt some of the ice. Now that it's March, the sun is quite warm and you can really feel the difference. And thank you for today's devotion..

Edna so sorry to hear of all your losses recently..

Blessings to you both, and all my friends on this board!..

Hello everyone. That Jillian Michaels dvd really kicked my butt! I hurt trying to get out of bed this morning! But I did go swim, and that felt nice to stretch my bones out..

Can I get some prayers for my future, I know that I am supposed to leave it to God, but with my money running out, jobs are short, and I'm trying to work out my living situation for the next few months..

Hope all is well in your lands!..

Good Morning CSG!.

I hope each of you have a wonderful day..

Are we focused on our Lord and not getting lost in the earthly things that often times takes up much of our time? We need to remember the importance of placing God at the center of our lives and to be His servant to others. By doing so, God will reveal the direction our lives are to take as His purposes are fulfilled through us. Enjoy the devotion and have a Blessed day!.

Good Pleasure.

By Margaret D. Mitchell.

"And He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure,.

Which He purposed in Christ." ~ Ephesians 1:9.

I once met a young, married woman who had wisdom beyond her years. She said something profound that I will always remember which was, "The trouble with life is that it's just so daily.".

May we not get so bogged down by the "dailies" that we lose sight of God's greater vision. Let us not forget that God has us in an integral "now" process that is leading us to the fulfillment of our divine destiny. Take joy, and count it all good. Our best vacation from toil and hardship is in the presence of the Lord. In due time, we will reap the harvest if we journey to the fulfillment of His purposes..

A couple of years after this young woman made her statement, God made big shifts in her life. Indeed, when God's purposes are fulfilled, He will move us beyond our circumstances. One of my favorite prayers is to ask the Holy Spirit to help me "get it" the first time, that I would not have to cycle around the mountain of lesson-learning repeatedly. Once is enough for me in this second half of my life on earth. I don't want to waste anymore of God's time, and I declare that, through His grace, the latter will be greater than the former..

Therefore, let us do our excellent best to honor God in all that He has called us to in the here and now, processing circumstances His way in love, mercy and forgiveness. And know that we are indeed pleasing Him and making loving memories. There will come a future time when "now" will be the past, and we will forget the hardships of today. So that when the future arrives, we can reflect with great joy, peace, liberty and appreciation, having no regrets, bearing no grudges and gaining God's wisdom..

Be assured that God takes good pleasure in giving back our dreams. If you are in a dry place, know that your escape, your sanctuary can be found in the presence of the Lord. Spend time with Him. Ask Him to reveal His mysteries, His timing, His destiny plan for you. Ask Him to give you His understanding of what you've gone through and how He will bring it all together in His due time, in His good pleasure. Ask Him to awaken you to His greater vision.

You will surely see that there will be no greater dream fulfillment, no greater plan, no greater intimacy and no greater love for you..

God takes good pleasure in giving back to us through His servant heart. He once spoke to my heart, saying that because I laid down my dreams and got involved with His dreams, He has gotten involved in my dreams and is giving them back to me in a way that is greater than I ever expected..

I don't know that I've ever been more humbled or awed. Indeed, God rewards sacrifices of the heart that make room for Him to be first. And He showed me that He will reveal such mysteries to us through revelation if we take the time to get alone with Him and ask..

God's good pleasure is linked with the fulfillment of His predestined purposes for us (Eph. 10-12). Our time, our hearts, our minds, our wills, our bodies, our dreams and our agendas are not our own when we are sold out to God. After all, Jesus laid down His life for us at Calvary. How can we call ourselves Christians if we do not honor Him for paying such a high price to give us eternal life in heaven?.

Let us remember that God created us for the purpose of fellowshipping with Him. We are to make Him our first priority, our first love. It gives God good pleasure when we praise, worship and honor Him throughout our destiny journey, even if it is done sacrificially. He delights when His plans and purposes are fulfilled through us, when we are a living testimony to His power, love and glory. Therefore, may we lay down every idol, every hearts desire, turn from every temptation and say, "Yes, Lord. Have it Your way no matter what...

Mark 10.32 45.

Jesus and the disciples were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them; they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them what was to happen to him, saying, "See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles; they will mock him, and spit upon him, and flog him, and kill him; and after those days he will rise again.".

James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came forward to him and said to him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you." And He said to them, "What is it you want me to do for you?" And they said to him, "Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory.".

But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" They replied, "We are able.".

Then Jesus said to them, "The cup that I drink you will drink; and the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized; but to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared.".

When the ten heard this, they began to be angry with James and John. So Jesus called them and said to them, "You know that among the Gentiles those whom they recognize as their rules lord it over the, and their great ones are tyrants over them. But it is not so among you; but whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be slave of all. For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.".

Good Morning Everyone!.

We've had another set back on the house. The appraiser refused to send the final appraisal to the Mtg. co. until the water was turned on at the house. Whoever built the house, put the main water valve in the crawl space which is unheard of. So, to save time....we agreed to go up there and DH would turn on the water since he knew where it was and how to do it..

We got up there, opened the access in the house (which is also against code), looked ok...but..it was an illusion. The plastic was actually floating on top of 2 feet of water..

And DH dropped down into it! I wish I would have had a camera because it was so funny! He said "Oh S***! (sorry that's what he said!) and then "Get me out! Get me out!" Like I was going to lift him out of this 4 foot deep hole!.

LOL! He finally got out and was soaked...then he went around to the other opening outside and jiggled the sump pump which finally kicked on..

I emailed my cousin this morning telling him that we now have cold feet. We're really concerned about this because it was suppose to be fixed AND there is 2 to 3 more inches of rain coming Friday & Saturday. I told him that the bank should consider dropping the price $10,000. I guess my email was good because he forwarded it to the bank! He called me and said, "Let's just wait and see what they do. They WILL fix the sump pump and they just might drop that price on the house. You never know." He also explained to them that we WERE excited about the house and now we're scared to death to go through with it and that's not right..

So, I'm praying hard today that God will get a hold of that banker and he will fix the pump and drop the price on the house by $10K! I had been asking God to lower our monthly payment so maybe this is a God thing? I don't know - but we'll know later today..

I hope you all have a good day today - I'll let you know what they say!..

Was Jesus a pessimist or a stark realist? On three different occasions the Gospels record that Jesus predicted he would endure great suffering through betrayal, rejection, and the punishment of a cruel death. The Jews resorted to stoning and the Romans to crucifixion the most painful and humiliating death they could devise for criminals they wanted to eliminate. No wonder the apostles were greatly distressed at such a prediction! If Jesus their Master were put to death, then they would likely receive the same treatment by their enemies. Jesus called himself the Son of Man because this was a common Jewish title for the Messiah. Why must the Messiah be rejected and killed? Did not God promise that his Anointed One would deliver his people from their oppression and establish a kingdom of peace and justice? The prophet Isaiah had foretold that it was Gods will that the Suffering Servant make atonement for sins through his suffering and death (Isaiah 53:5-12). Jesus paid the price for our redemption with his blood.

The ransom Jesus paid sets us free from the worst tyranny possible the tyranny of sin and the fear of death. Jesus victory did not end with death but triumphed over the tomb. Jesus defeated the powers of death through his resurrection. Do you want the greatest freedom possible, the freedom to live as God truly meant us to live as his sons and daughters?.

Jesus did the unthinkable! He wedded authority with selfless service and with loving sacrifice. Authority without sacrificial love is brutish and self-serving. Jesus also used stark language to explain what kind of sacrifice he had in mind. His disciples must drink his cup if they expect to reign with him in his kingdom. The cup he had in mind was a bitter one involving crucifixion. What kind of cup does the Lord have in mind for us? For some disciples such a cup entails physical suffering and the painful struggle of martyrdom.

A disciple must be ready to lay down his or her life in martyrdom and be ready to lay it down each and every day in the little and big sacrifices required. To serve is to reign with Christ. We share in God's reign by laying down our lives in humble service as Jesus did for our sake. Are you willing to lay down your life and to serve others as Jesus did?.

Let Us Pray.

Lord Jesus, your death brought life and freedom. Make me a servant of your love, that I may seek to serve rather than be served. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen...

~ If the bank doesn't work with you, I'd think twice about your purchase. Remember, there are homes for sale out there now even more so now that you've expanded the area you're looking in. I believe God's will shall be revealed which direction you're to go in with how the bank responds. It will all work out, maybe not in your timing, but in God's perfect timing. Have a good day and keep us updated...

Thank you so much, Lisa.... That was another great devotion and it made me think about the Minister for Minority Affairs in Pakistan who was killed yesterday. He was a Christian who disagreed with the Pakistani law calling for the death penalty for "blasphemers". He wasn't even accused of blasphemy himself, he just didn't want that young Christian woman who recently was accused of it to die for it. Let us pray for the enlightenment of all those in the Muslim world to accept Christians, and to call for real religious freedom in their lands..

Blessings to you and everyone on this board today!..

Good Morning CSG!.

I hope everyone has a good day!.

How many times have we prayed for something and it seems that we have to wait for our circumstances or situation to change or improve. Where is God? Why isn't He listening to me? Why me? Aren't those some familiar thoughts we've all had? During these times, have we truly and completely placed all our trust in God and given Him the situation completely, handing over all control? Remember, God is there and his timing is different than our own, but it is always perfect. God doesn't leave us, He loves each of us unconditionally and is providing us with blessings each day of our lives, if we just take a moment to look around. Have a Blessed day!.

God's Answers Are Everywhere.

By Olu Brown.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12).

Have you ever prayed for something and it seemed like God was on vacation and allowed your prayer to linger in Heaven's In-box too long? You felt like life gave up on you and God had forgotten about you. No matter how much you prayed, begged, or read the Bible, there seemed to be no response from God..

Not only is this a frustrating time but it is also a frightening time. Frustrating because you can't get a prayer through and frightening because you begin to wonder if God is really even there..

I can imagine Paul wrote Romans 12:12 to a group of people who were experiencing similar thoughts and feelings. He encouraged them to remain "Faithful in Prayer." Every once in a while we have to be reminded to continue to pray even when our prayers don't seem to be answered or when we think God has taken a vacation during our most critical time of need..

One of Paul's most consistent roles was to encourage the people. He had to reassure them of God's steadfast love and protection. I hope whenever we feel like God does not hear us or our prayers are being ignored, we remain faithful in prayer..

Often, I am reminded of how much God really cares and how many times God truly answers my prayers. Sometimes I have to slow down, live a little and look around to see God's answered prayers in my life and the world around me..

I know this may sound cheesy, but God's answers to our prayers are everywhere. Look around!..

Mark 10.46 - 52.

Jesus and his disciples came to Jericho. As he ans his disciples and a large crowd were leaving Jericho, Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the roadside. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout out and say, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!".

May sternly ordered him to be quiet, but he cried out even more loudly, "Son of David, have mercy on me!!" Jesus stood still and said, "Call him here." And they called the man who was blind, saying to him, "Take heart; get up, he is calling you.".

So throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus. Then Jesus said to him, "What do you want me to do?" The blind man said to him, "My teacher, let me see again." Jesus said to him, "Go; your faith has made you well." Immediately Bartimaeus regained his sight and followed Jesus on the way..

Hey everybody, I just got back from seeing my spine surgeon, and as I expected he is sending me for a MRI and it is looking like another back surgery is in my future. I don't want that, but living in constant pain is taking a toll on me. He gave me a prescription for a different pain pill so that I can get some sleep at night, and I stopped by the pharmacy to get it filled and I asked how much it was going to be since Medicare don't cover all meds, and she said it will be "nothing", I said "WHAT? That is the first time that has happened...

Thank you, but I have to add another one to the list, my husband's aunt passed away last night...

Edna I'm sorry to hear about your DH's aunt. I hope you don't have to go through any more bereavement for a long time. How awful. But I'm pleased for your news about the medication. That's a blessing..

I'm going out with the while family, six of us, to see "The King's Speech" at a local theater.... DH and I have already sen it when it first came out, but it was so good that I wanted to make sure the whole family saw it. If we can make it to the theater, that is right now it's -8 degrees!!.

I don't know if amy of you saw this last night, but I thought I'd share it with you. I happened to see a "documentary" on the Green Channel called "Who Framed Jesus?" which was s o inaccurate it was almost funny. They repeatedly said, and it was the basis of their thesis, that Mark was the first Gospel! They purported to show that the Gospel writers became increasingly pro-Roman in their writings to appeal to a Gentile audience... this whole film was really unprofessional and they said this repeatedly. Anyone who has actually cracked open a New Testament knows Mark is the second Gospel and was written, as far as anyone knows, after Matthew, the first Gospel. It seemed the film came from outside of this country although I couldn't be sure.

Anyway, I don't think you should bother to see this if you happen to run across it in the future..

Below is one of my favorite Gospel passages. We CAN move mountains!.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.

Mark 11.11 25.

After his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, Jesus went in to the temple; and when he had looked around at everything, as it was already late, he went out into Bethany with the twelve..

One day, when Jesus and the disciples came from Bethany, he was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see whether he would find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. He said to it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard it..

Then they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling and those who were buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold doves; and he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple..

He was teaching and saying, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be a house pf prayer for all the nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers.".

And when the chief priests and the scribes heard it, they kept looking for a way to kill him; for they were afraid of him, because the whole crowd was spellbound by his teaching..

And when evening came, Jesus and his disciples went out of the city. In the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree withered away to it's roots. Then Peter remembered and said to him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.".

Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, "Be taken up and thrown into the sea', and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you. So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours..

"Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.".

The Word of the Lord.

Pain is God's megaphone..

When life is going well, it can be easy to forget God. So,.

Sometimes God will use painful circumstances difficulties, trials, and troubles to get our attention and remind us of our need for Him..

In James 1:2-4, we are instructed to rejoice in trials:.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish it's work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything..

Why are trials good for us? Because they make us more mature that is, closer to God. So,.

When you feel the pain of life know that God is with you..

Evangelism exists because worship doesn't..

Once Christ returns at the end of this age, all those who have been born again will be with God worshiping him, and missions will no longer be necessary. Worship is eternal, but evangelism is temporary..

Until Christ returns, the purpose of evangelism is to spread a passion for Christ. We evangelize so that all the peoples of the earth will "Sing to the Lord [and] proclaim his salvation day after day" (1 Chronicles 16:23). Said differently,.

The goal of missions is worship..

Not only is worship the goal of missions, but it is also the fuel of missions. Worship begets missions, and missions begets worship. In the words of pastor and author John Piper, "You can't commend what you don't cherish." If you don't treasure Christ, you won't be compelled to encourage others to treasure him..

Where zeal for Christ is lacking, passion for missions will be lukewarm..

Jesus instructs us to spread his name to all peoples (Matthew 28:16-20), but we'll do so only once we come to the same point as the Apostle Paul, who exclaims, "I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ" (Philippians 3:8)..

When, like Paul, we treasure Christ above all else, then we will be passionate about missions. But once Christ returns, evangelism will no longer be necessary because he will bring to himself and be worshiped by all those who have been made righteous in Christ. In the meantime, evangelism exists because there are still people called by Christ who are not worshipers of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit...

Lisa, thanks for the devo, it's exactly what I needed to hear today. Not everything is going well in my life, so now more then I ever I need to take it to God. I found myself singing in the shower this morning a song I havent heard in ages, and it was just the end, "all the sins and grief we bear, all because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer.".

I get to go paint today! I dont get paid fo course, but I will get lunch out of it, and I'm learning a new technique I havent done before, so that counts for a lot. Then I am meeting up with one of my church camp friends for a fish fry, which I know is naughty, but it's decently portioned and I dont go every week, then we are going to Bible study, then Im heading out to a party. Busy day for me! And lots of extra calories, so tomorrow I'm gonna have to kick my butt with Jillian and head to the pool to double up my workout..

Have a fab day everyone!..

PatI am glad you are enjoying the sun! Seems like here in North FL, the weather can't decide what it's going to do! Chilly to hot, rain, chilly, warm...etc! Today cloudy and cool... And, I'm with youI find the inaccuracies in lots of the religious documentaries almost laughable. I do love to watch Grant Jeffery's though. He is pretty much right on it..

LisaI love the devotionsGod does indeed use pain sometimes to get our attention. I want to cling to Him in the good and the bad times....that's my goal! Have a wonderful weekend!.

Everyone elsehave a wonderful weekend. I don't know if I'll get to post any this weekend, but I'll try. Blessings to all!..

Lisa.

This just jumped off the page and grabbed me! I recall all to clearly a time in my life where I walked into territory that took me away from the Lord, while there, I had no peace, I felt Gods fatherely protection over me tho I knew I didnt deserve it, and when I returned to Him and recommitted my life to him I felt the peace of Gad wash over me as he took my willing heart back into his family. I will never trade that peace for this world again, by his grace and with his strength. Thanks for the faithful sharing of Gods word and commentary, I appreciate it very much..

I was asked to do a commission in watercolor this week. It will be the largest painting I have ever done and the most I have ever charged..

I am shaking in my boots over this one but am praying that God will give me strength and wisdom to make it happen..

Seanne.

Praying for you and that house, God must be training you for something big, this has been so hard for you and yet so encouraging to see you remail wrapped in his wisdom and strength..

Edna.

Praying for you sister, I understandhow you feel, I battle with that everyday, and every time I take a celebrex I think is this the best I can do to alleviate this pain? So far losing weight going to the pool and taking the nsaid is all I can do. Lifting you up daily sister..

Also sending hugs and prayers for the Loss of your DHs aunt..

Becky.

, praying for you sister, yes what a friend we have in Jesus..

Pat.

Thanks so much for the Word you post every day. It really is a blessing..

I know I missed most of you today, but I did read your posts and will be praying for you all, I just dont have anymore energy left, going to rest now, love you all so much,.

Mark 11.27 33.

Jesus and the disciples came to Jerusalem. As He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Jesus and said, "By what authority are you doing these things? Who gave you this authority to do them? Jesus said to them, " I will ask you one question; answer me. and I will tell you by what authority I so these things. Did the baptism of John come from heaven, or was it of human origin? Answer me.".

They argued with one another, "If we say, 'From heaven', he will say. 'Why then did you not believe him?' But shall we say, 'Of human origin'?" they were afraid of the crowd, for all regarded John as truly a prophet..

So they answered Jesus, "We do not know". And Jesus said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.".

Congrats, Kathy, on your commission! I'm sure it will be nerve-wracking but that's when you do your best work, right? I know that's true for me. It's like what marathoners say it feels so good when it's over! I had a commission to design and make a lupine window, and it just about killed me. But it came out well, and now I'm making one for myself and DH for our home. Someday it will all be worth it!! God bless and good luck...

Good morning, friends! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. Getting ready for and then attending a conference took up my time the last week of February. Then I spent this last week catching up on what I got behind in while away at the conference. Plus, we have countless meetings each week (so it seems) to attend. Add that to time taken for tutoring and simply planning for and executing my job, there just aren't enough hours in a day to do it all. I know you all understand what I mean..

Anyway, I pray all of you are doing well. I'm currently fighting yet another round of "creeping crud" or something..

I am praying it isn't strep throat that is going around school - again..

I hate to run so quickly, but I am supervising Saturday School, so I can't keep my attention elsewhere for very long. Plus, I have math tests to grade..

Please have a good day, and I will check in tomorrow, Lord willing! Blessings to you all!.

Good evening, I am very tired so I am going to bed in a few minutes. We went to Alabama today for DH's aunt's funeral, and it was pouring rain all the way there and back. They told us that we didn't need to go to the cemetary because of the rain and just had the palbearers go, I guess they were afraid somebody would slip and fall on the wet pavement and grass..

Thank you for all your prayers...

Hi friends - sorry I haven't been here all week. I got back from NJ Tuesday night and left on Wednesday to go up to a client in the mountains. I just got back today. I am so exhausted I cannot wait to go to bed.

I hope you are all having a great weekend. I'll check in tomorrow. Right now I need to get some dinner and then figure out what groceries I need to buy (of course DH didn't go to the grocery while I was gone.

Have a great night friends...

Lorie I had the "creeping crud" too, for about three weeks! A lot of people around here have had it ... a long-term cold virus, I guess. At the end of mine my old allergies kicked up and I started taking my old allergy medicine, Nasonex, and that helped quite a bit..

Kimberly- Argh that jet lag must be a killer! Glad you're back..

Matthew 7.21 27.

Jesus went up the mountain with his disciples. He sat down and began to teach them: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name?' Then I will say to them, 'I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers.'.

"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his rouse on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house and it fell and great was it's fall!".

Mark 12.1 12.

Jesus began to speak to the high priests and the scribes in parables. "A man planted a vineyard, put a fence around it, dug a pit for the wine press, and built a watchtower; then he leased it to tenants and went to another country. When the season came, he sent a slave to the tenants to collect from them his share of the produce of the vineyard. But they seized him, and beat him, and sent him away empty-handed..

"And again he sent another slave to them; this one they beat over the head and insulted. Then he sent another, and that one they killed. And so it was with many others' some they beat, and others they killed..

"He had still one other, a beloved son. Finally he sent him to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' But those tenants said to one another, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' So they seized him, killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard..

"What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants and give the vineyard to others. Have you not read this scripture: 'The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is amazing in our eyes'?.

When the high priests and the scribes realized that Jesus had told this parable against them, they wanted to arrest him, but they feared the crowd. So they left him and went away..

Your visuals just get better and better and better.....I may come back just to see what you are posting. The troll with the slippers and coffee cup spoke tome..

As far asNutrisystemgoes I cannot get away from what I learned while on it. It is just way too expensive for me now so I only buy it 2-3 times a year and supplement with my own cooking and obviously it isn't working but I am still trying. A new BBB comes next month.. I still come and post my food in the journal and it helps me stay in control.....

Praying for success for everyone....we want to do everything possible for our health here...

Good Evening Everyone!.

Sorry I've been mia too...DD came home for Spring Break so it's a little hectic in this apartment. Wanted to thank everyone for the prayers and kind words. I appreciate them. I had another sleepless night with too much traffic noise, a snoring husband and my mind would not shut off. The bank did replace the sump pump and all is good on that. They won't drop the price but I didn't expect them to.

So of course my mind is running 90 mph! I need to "hurry up and be patient!".

I think I'm going to hold on to my shipment ofNutrisystemthat I just got and re-start after we move. I just can't seem to hang with it while DD is home and we just never want to cook or do anything here. We are eating out way too much and it's doing like Christine said...I'm stuck..

At least I'm not gaining but I don't want to waste the food and not lose..

Two prayer requests:.

My niece, Jennifer, is expecting a baby. She is 7 weeks along but has had problems. She lost a baby last year so we're praying she can carry this one to full term. If you could pray for.

Jennifer and Tony Jerger..

Also, my son-in-laws father, Ron Helderman, is having By-Pass Surgery in the morning. They found 5 blockages today. He is 62. He has one daughter who left for Africa, Trina, who is an ER Doctor that they have been unable to reach. When she left, he cried and begged her not to go because he'd never see her again. We're hoping that's not the case but we've dealt with people who "just know"..

Pray for Ron, his wife Imelda, Son Nick (and my Crystle) and thier daughters, Sarah and Trina and for God to guide the doctors..

Thank you in advance. I hope you all have a wonderful evening. Pray for me to get some sleep tonight....2 nights in a row with only a few hours sleep makes for a grouchy Seanne!..

Happy Fat Tuesday Everyone! Eat, drink, and be merry!.

Debbie thanks for your nice words! Feeling great now, which is good because I spent all of yesterday on my knees in the basement, vacuuming up water! Sunny today, though, thank the Lord..

Seanne will pray for your intentions. It is scary how some people know that they aren't going to make it sometimes. But I surely hope he's wrong... My brother's SD is expecting, too, which we are very excited about. Praying for a happy event to happen to both couples..

Mark 12.13 17.

Some Pharisees and some Herodians were sent to Jesus to trap him in what he said. And they came and said to him, "Teacher, we know that you are sincere, and show deference to no one; for you do not regard people with partiality, but teach the way of God in accordance with truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to the emperor, or not? Should we pay them. or should we not?" But knowing their hypocrisy, Jesus said to them, "Why are you putting me to the test? Bring me a denarius and let me see it." And they brought one. Then he said to them, "Whose head is this, and whose title?" They answered, "The emperor's.".

Jesus said to them, "Give to the emperor the things that are the emperor's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were utterly amazed at him..

My MIL is home from the hospital now and improving. We are convinced she simply overdosed on her pain meds by accident. She has a lot of pain and most likely forgot that she had already taken her meds. Thanks to those of you who prayed for her!.

Matthew 6.16, 16 18.

Jesus said to the disciples: "Beware of practicing your piety before people in order to be seen by them; for then you have no reward from your Father in heaven..

"So whenever you give alms, so not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they nay be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what you right hand is doing, so that your alms may be done in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you..

"And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you..

"And whenever you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so as to show others that they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face; so that your fasting may be seen not by others but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.".

Hi everyone. Wanted to check in but I've been so busy that being home hasn't really made a difference.

The good news is we finished the audit today for one of my clients (the one we've been working so many hours on). What a relief. I'm not done with the busyness - still lots of audits going on - but I think it will be a bit easier now..

I'm exhausted and going to bed but wanted to say hi and I miss you...

Good morning, dear friends in Christ. I hope everyone had a good Ash Wednesday. I ate too much cookie dough when I made cookies for DH on Fat Tuesday (I guess that was my "feast" before the fast of Ash Wednesday) but was fairly successful yesterday, where you're supposed to have two small meals only for the whole day. I'm going off coffee for Lent and donating the amount I would have paid to charity..

Edna that is a great thing, being able to see your weight loss in your face. It was really noticeable in mine, too, as well as my neck and upper arms..

Kim Glad to hear from you. Hope all is going well with DH's new job..

Lynda you're so welcome! Even without the accompanying commentary, I hope the Gospel can get us off on the right foot every day..

"Destined" we've all been there, falling off the wagon occasionally. You just have to realize it's not the end of the world, just start up again on the right path. But do try to figure out what it was that triggered the episode the "Mindset Makeover" section of the website has great info on these kinds of things and helped me a great deal..

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.

Luke 9.22 25.

Jesus spoke to his disciples and sternly ordered them not to to tell anyone:.

"The Son of Man must undergo great suffering, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.".

Then he said to them all, "If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will save it. What does it profit them if they gain the whole world, but lose or forfeit it themselves?".

Good morning! I just wanted to stop by for a quick hello. I haven't forgotten all of you. I just don't always take that extra time to post. So, I've been guilty of "lurking" more than posting these days..

Next week is spring break, so after I get back from my conference, I'll take time to catch up on how all of you are doing. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers even when I am "silent." Blessings to you all!.

Lorie..

Blessings to all. Good news! I started Jillain Michaels 30 day a$$-kicking (or 30 day shred, if you go by the actual title) about a week ago and I'm noticing huge results and I'm down five lbs! I hope it keeps coming off like this, Maybe I will actually be able to break into the 150's!.

Painting today again, then I think I may go to Carsons. They are having the Goodwill Sale, and I have a lot of clothes I am getting rid of again. Maybe I will find something to wear for Easter nice and cheap. I have this overwhelming feeling of too much clutter in my house, and I think it's my sub-concious trying to pare my belongings down to get ready to move. I also feel guilty that I have so much while other have so little..

Have a good day everyone!..

Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful day in Colorado - sunny with an expected high of 68 degrees.

I'm working from home today and it is so nice to be able to work, get my laundry done and avoid the phone ringing constantly. I think it's going to be a great day!.

Becky, I know the 30 day shred is supposed to be ridiculously hard. I would love to do it but I'm afraid my ankle wouldn't hold up. I ran for 1/4 of a mile on Monday and I've been in horrible pain ever since. What does the shred involve?.

Praying for all of you and hope to spend more time here now that I'm slowing down. But now it's time to throw in another load of laundry and get some work done. Have a wonderful day!..

I stumbled too......I decided to keep my items all boxed up until we get moved and settled in....this is my 2nd shipment this time and I'm going to cancel the 3rd and just wait until I get myself settled and can actually move around instead of being stuck in an apartment! I'm not sure I've introduced myself to you either so I'm sorry I'm just rambling! I'm Seanne, pronounced See-Ann - from Indiana..

God will see you through and sometimes, you just have to put it off and stop until you are ready. I know I'm not ready right now so I have to just get my focus back after we move....and I will too! Praying for you! Have a good day!..

THEY ARE READY TO CLOSE ON THE HOUSE! YAY! They sent the loan off on Tuesday and they already ok'd it! I can't believe it! We're moving! FINALLY! I'm so excited - can ya tell?!.

It will be sometime next week, probably St. Patrick's Day....how awesome is that? That is my husband's parents anniversary and his nephew's anniversary as well. It's always been a sweet day for us not to mention we are so Irish and Scottish!.

Update on Ron Helderman: He is out of ICU and will probably be home next week. He did wonderful and is really coming out of it. It will be harder for him to sit and heal at home than the actual surgery was! But they'll get him through it - his daugher Trina, the ER Doc should have arrived home from Africa by now and his wife is a nurse too..

Update on Jennifer (my neice): Her counts went down and they were getting worried but she seems to be coming out of it. She was able to keep some food down and they have doubled her meds. Still needs prayers for her to carry that baby full term - she is about 8 weeks now..

Thanks everyone for prayers - I'll let you know our closing date - we're almost there.....woooo - hooooo!!..

Seanne, I'm so thrilled for you! Hope all goes well, but it's a cinch now that you have the luck of the Irish with you! So cool. And that's great about your friend Ron..

Becky, that sounds frightening..

But congrats to you for tackling that program..

Lorie, thanks for posting. Blessings to you too, and to everyone...........

Haha Kimberly and Pat. It's not too bad....now. Its three levels of training that you move up as you conquer each one. in each one it's three circuits with three minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, and one minute of abs each. And it's kicking my butt. I haven't been brave enough to move off of level one yet.

I think in a few I'm going to try and move up. Been really satisfied with results so far..

Seanne-CONGRATS! I know it's been a long journey, I hope you will be very happy in it...

Hi all! I am going to be out all day tomorrow and thought I'd post tomorrow's Gospel now. Just watched a bit of the most recent news out of Libya and it's almost unbearable. Please pray that all the despots of the Middle East are brought down and democracy will reign in all of the Middle East..

Have a wonderful day Friday, dear friends in Christ..

Luke 5.27 32.

After healing a man who was paralyzed, Jesus left the house where he had been teaching, and He saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax booth; and He said to him, "Follow me." And he got up, left everything, and followed Him..

Then Levi gave a great banquet for Him in his house; and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others sitting at the table with them..

The Pharisees and their scribes were complaining to his disciples, saying, " Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?" Jesus answered, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick do; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance.".

Hi, alljust popping in for a minute! Here it is almost 11pm and I JUST finished my dinner! That's how busy life is these days....

BeckyI have the 30 day shred, and I have done it once. Dearie, you have put me to shame...I have been staying OP so well, and I don't know how I did it, but yesterday, when I finished entering all of my food on the computer, I had eaten over 1500 calorieswhat the heck???? So tonight, I have only had a little over 1100...and I really should still eat a piece of fruit....

Lynda, I'm glad that your Mother in law is out of the hospital. I hope she continues to improve. My Mother used to get her meds mixed upand then she just started dumping them. When we cleaned out her china cabinet, we found a gorgeous crystal dishwhen you stood and looked into the cabinet at it, it looked like it was a pretty shade of blue. When we took it out, it was filled with hundreds of pills...she would just dump them into the dish....we had to put her into the hospital to get her regulated, and then she didn't get to go back home after that. So sad for her..

Pat, I'm glad you are feeling better! Those steroid nasal sprays always knock it right out of me! Hang in there!.

Seanne, congrats on the house! I know you will be thrilled to be in and settled....

EdnaI hope you get some definitive answers from your MRI! And congrats on a different you in the mirror! I have noticed that, after 65lbs lost, my tummy looks flabbier than ever!!! Good luck!.

KimberlyI'm sorry I've missed thiswhat is the prognosis for your foot? Is there anything to be done for it?.

Lisawhen is moving day? Looking forward to seeing pix!.

Loriedon't lurk! We enjoy your posts!.

I know I have missed someone, please forgive. It wasn't intentional! I keep getting cramps in my calvesand then I lose my train of thought!.

Blessings to all, and to all a goodnight!..

Debbie-Dont worry about it. Its kicking my butt, and I am young and thought was getting into pretty good shape. Apparently not. Keep pushing and you will be able to kick this weights butt...

Hi, everyone! I just wanted to stop and say hi. I am on my laptop and watching the news about Japan. So sad to see the devastation from the massive earthquake and the tsunami. Wild about the tsunami warnings out for California, Oregon, Hawaii, etc....

Japan is definitely going to need all our prayers..

I see a lot of familiar faces on here, and a few new ones. Hi, to the new ones. And of course, hi to, my dear friends. Well it's getting late..

I will try to check in more often. Have a great weekend...

Hear God: Eliminate the Distractions.

By Rick Warren.

Other seed fell in the weeds; the weeds grew with it and strangled it. Luke 8:7 (MSG).

You cant hear God when your mind is crowded with thoughts, worries, fears, and plans, or if you always have the radio or TV on. And if you constantly have your phone against your ear, when God calls all he gets is a busy signal!.

All of these distractions are what Jesus was referring to in Luke 8 when he talked about the seed falling in the weeds. Todays verse says those weeds grew with the seed and strangled it..

Now notice that this scenario is a little bit better than the shallow soil because the seed actually sprouts and grows. But the weeds choke it out so it never bears fruit. So many people hear God speak, but as they go on their way, lifes worries, riches, and pleasures choke them, so they never mature..

If you are always on the go and you cant hear God, you are facing the barrier of busyness. Often we confuse busyness with productivity and they arent the same thing. If you keep going, going, going but you arent spiritually growing, growing, growing, you are busy, not productive..

Jesus says distractions are like weeds that grow up in your mind and heart, just as weeds grow in a garden..

There are three types of weeds that will keep you from hearing Gods voice:.

Worries.

The Greek word for worry is merinma, which means pulled in different directions. When you are pulled in different directions, you are worried. And when you are worried, you cant hear God..

Riches.

You can be so busy making a living, trying to make money to pay the bills and get out of debt that you cant hear God..

Pleasures.

God gives you pleasures, and they are a good thing. But you can get so busy pursuing pleasures and fun that you forget to pursue God as well..

How much effort does it take to grow weeds? None. Weeds are a sign of neglect. When you neglect your time with God, the weeds start to grow in your life. In order to overcome the weeds, you must learn to overcome your preoccupied mind..

First Kings 19:12 says that when God spoke to Elijah, it wasnt in a wind or earthquake or fire; it was in a gentle whisper. If you want to hear God whisper to you, you have to be quiet...

Good Morning CSG!.

I hope everyone has a great Friday! I still need to catch up on posts, but wanted to post a devotion. Keeping so busy on the new house. I believe we only have three more contractors to come in and finish up, then it's just the painting we need to do. We still have a ways to go, but are making progress..

Keeping each of you in my thoughts and prayers. Love and hugs to all!..

It has been quite a week here I got sick Tuesday night and Wednesday I had to go home from work as I was living in the bathroom pretty much, the boss and I decided that I couldn't do much for him from there so it was better if I went home and got better I felt better yesterday and today there is nothing, now I just have to make sure DH is OK he has been sniffling, sneezing what to me sounds more like allergies than a cold but we have to be sure, he is a marrow donor next week..

We got snow last night so the kid's got another snow day today they now have to make it up in the summer DD is not happy it was going to be a good day at school today they had planed an all school readathon bring a pillow to school, not that I am all that fun of it either I am not able to get to my Zumba class either. Well got to go DD wants to be entertained.

Have a great day everyone...

Good morning, I got up at 6:30 to get ready for my MRI, and turned the news on and heard about the earthquake in Japan. I got to the outpatient center and they drew some blood and my appointment was suppose to be 2 hours later, but just a few minutes later they called me back and got started, I used the time in there to pray for the people affected by this earthquake and the following tsunmi (sp) If you have family or friends there I pray for their safety...

Jette, Sorry you were feeling bad. Yikes. I wonder if you had food poisoning from something you ate. Take good care of yourself..

Lisa, "only three" contractors?? Eesh! Good luck with them! I guess I've had mixed luck with these guys in the past myself. But enjoy your new home. I'm so happy for you!.

We were so disturbed to see the footage from the quake and tsunami today. DH had the day off so we've been doing errands and chores... it's tough to tear yourself away from watching it. Parts of the country look just as devastated as Sumatra was in 2004. Praying for them to heal and recover. I'm sure their excellent preparation kept this from being even worse..

What's hard to believe is that some young guy in Calif. was swept out to sea after going to the beach with his buddies to get photos of the tsunami. I guess Hawaii and Alaska were pretty lucky, though and I haven't heard of any fatalities there..

Take care, everyone and have a blessed evening........

Hello everyone. We are finally home from So. Calif. We got the house all ready to list for sale. Tons of work, but looks pretty good. Lousy time to sell, but my DH can't retire unless we sell the home.

We are actually having good weather in the Sierras. Yipee! It is in the low 50's and I'm loving it! Next chance of snow is Sunday night though..

Des104 - You are only on your 2nd box. Please don't get discouraged yet. You just got started. You can do this, but you need to stay connected here or elsewhere on the support threads for accountability and help. Read your Daily Dose and Mindset Makeovers. They are very helpful.

We're here for you if you have questions or just need some hugs!.

Yay Seanne - so happy you finally get to move into the house! Continued prayers going up..

Lisa - Have you moved into yours yet, or are you doing all the fixing up first? Excited for you too..

Yes, Japan needs all our prayers right now. It is heartbreaking. All of my daughter's friends in Japan are safe. She has heard from them all now..

Everyone have a great day today. Enjoy your weekend!..

I'm so glad that you started this group!!!!.

And I thrilled to have found it!!!!.

I will be looking forward to checking in here every day...

Congratulations on making your goal weight..

I have a while to go... but, I'm glad that I have started to exercise just about every day. Before, it was so hard to just get up off of the couch. It wasn't hard physically... but mentally..

Have a great day!..

Hi Junefirst. Welcome to CSG. We're glad you found us too. I'm Lynda from the Sierras in California. Married 36 years, 2 daughters and one son-in-law. I made goal in May, but I'm up a few lbs.

What is your first name?..

Welcome Junefirst, I hope you come often and let us get to know you. I am Edna from Georgia, married 43 years, 2 daughters, 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 2 son-in-laws...

How true..

In those most difficult dark days was when I had nowhere else to turn....

I was desperate!.

So, today it is much easier to be calm because I know that God was with me then, and he's still with me today and every day... and with those that I love..

Even my co-workers will say to me... 'you are always so calm, you never get flustered, you have a gentle kind spirit, you are genuinely giving...'.

It's only because of God's grace..

My greatest comfort is to know that God is in Control...

I'm praying for your DH... My favorite uncle is in Hospice right now with Cancer. It's been difficult for my Dad because this is my Dad's youngest brother. My uncle has been the most genuine Christian that I have ever seen. When he would have a good day (not in pain) he would be praying for others. He and my aunt had opened up their home for weekly prayer meetings for their community.

I'm a firm beleiver in you are the only bible that others see... and people are watching!.

Please pray for my family ... as we go through this time..

My aunt and uncle had also been missionaries/evangelists in the Northern Native American Indian reservations where he had to fly in..

And God is Awesome and Worthy to be Praised!!!..

I just joined on the 2nd of February and I've gotten discouraged, too..

But, already my jeans are baggy enough where I can take them off without unzipping them.

I try not to worry about what the scale says. I just do my best to keep exercising. I just want to be moving for an hour. I go and tread water for an hour or so. I do my best to eat right (on plan), and sometimes I go out to eat with friends (then I order a garden salad and herbal tea or diet pop) (sometimes a grilled chicken breast). Then, I don't feel deprived.

Keep on keeping on! It's a consious decision all through the day..

You can do it!!!..

My DD is also getting married. She just got engaged about a week or so ago..

So, I'm using that as my motivation and I've cut out pictures of Mother of the Bride dresses that I would like to fit into. I'm SO looking forward to the Destination Wedding and getting NEW tiny clothes..

I have gone to the Salvation Army in a bigger city and bought clothes in all different sizes. That way I will have clothes that I like... in the size that I need. I have them all sorted by size in bins. As I drop the weight the clothes are being taken back to the Salvation Army. I can hardly wait!!!.

I also want to pare things down at my house..

It sounds like you are doing a fantastic job!!!!!!..

My first name is Karen. I'm 53. I was married for 10 years and then divorced and have been a single Mom for the past 20 years. My daughter is a RN and lives 3 1/2 hours away and just got engaged. My son is an avid hunter/fisherman and lives with me. I work at a Women's Domestic Violence Shelter on the afternoon shift ( 3:30-11:30 p.m.) I have carried an extra 100 pounds since my divorce and am definitly ready to drop it now, all of it!.

I'm looking forward to dressing up in tiny clothes for the Destination Wedding and then in the future... having Grandbabies..

I've been blessed with a Christian family. Going through the divorce felt devastating at the time and I seriously wondered if I would survive it... but, through all of what I had to go through I found that God was REAL to me. And I desperately needed his Love and Grace. I'm so thankful for other Christians that God brings into my life..

How awesome that you have been married for 43 years. What a blessing!!!.

I wish that I could say that, too. But, I am divorced and I am trusting that God has a plan for my life. I may not be 'a wife' but my kids love me as their MOM and I'm looking forward to being a fun grandma. I just felt strongly that I was to remain single... so here I am. I have a sign by my front door that says "I'm living Happily Ever After". I've had time to grow spiritually and mature, some...Learning to be the Mom that my kids needed...(and MIL)..
