Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..
I'm sure you aren't burning 4000 calories on your hike. The only way to know definitively how much you are burning would be to wear a body bugg or similar device. What I do know is that you should be consuming 1500 calories per day on average (1400 - 1600 per day) and it is no wonder you are losing so fast. Start eating all of the required foods and add-ins before you do damage to your body. Restricting your calories as you are will lead to health issues and make it harder for you to transition to maintenance. So go apologiz to your wife and start following the plan...
I'm male and 36 and have lost 15 pounds since March 1st. I've been following the plan very carefully. I get to the gym about four-five times a week on the eliptical or swimming..
So do I feel that you are losing too much? Hard to say as everyone is different. I have so much more energy now than I did in February. And it no longer hurts to walk..
The exercise calculator thatNutrisystemuses is way off. I will normally burn 400 calories on the eliptical in 30 minutes. However,Nutrisystemhas me losing almost 600 calories..
Keep up the great work!..
I don't know that you're losing too quicklyI lost 16.2 pounds in my first three weeks.
And have had one week where I had a less than 1/2 a pound loss, but I've been averaging just over 3 lbs a week. I'm fully expecting that to slow down. As others have said, you.
Need to eat everything on your plan!.
As losingw8now said, I doubt you burn 4,000 calories on a hike. I enter my exercise on theNutrisystemsite and at first I was surprised by how many calories it said I was burning. It can't be right! I definitely don't rely on it to know how many calories I'm burning..
Typically, men lose weight faster than women; hopefully your DW can focus on her own progress and not compare to yours!.
Actually that's not really that fast for a man as men usually lose twice as much as women. You say you have lost 15 lbs in 24 days...well I lost 10 lbs in the first week and I am a woman! Chuck H. has lost 50 lbs in under 3 months and trust me he has been following the plan to a T. Men have a higher metabolism then women and we always lose more at first and it will probably slow down the second month although Chuck has yet to slow down!..
