I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could give you help..
Hi Tracy and welcome to the boards! Walden Farms has so many products and there are some that I think are good and some that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! LOL Everyone has their favorites, their least favorites and there are some people that do not like any of the products..my favorites:.
Apple Butter Spread.
Thousand Island Dressing.
Blue Cheese Dressing.
The one item that I would not EVER buy again..the Peanut Butter....ewwww.
I also have items that I have not tried yet...
The Alfredo Sauce.
The Marshmallow Sauce.
All the ones mentioned before and:.
Creamy Bacon Dressing.
I think all their products are awful. The chocolate dip blech. The marshmallow stuff you have to use a tiny bit so you can't taste it in food..
You can buy just as good s/f pancake syrup in your supermarket..
As you can tell, I don't recommend the products..
Each to their own...
Well I did say that there are some that don't like any of them..I of course had YOU in mind!..
The chocolate sauce (not the chocolate dip), I use the marshmallow dip with plain, NF Greek yogurt for sweetning (you can't taste the chemical taste when you mix it with a strong yogurt or FF cream cheese; it just adds a little bulk & sweetness), and I love the coleslaw dressing mixed with a little PB2 & curry for a great Thai dressing...
So far, I like the Honey Mustard Dressing, Coleslaw Dressing, and French Onion Dip..
Judi, your idea for the Thai dressing sounds good!..
PamSB came up with that, and it is just the best dressing!!! She uses it with broccoli slaw, but my favorite is with stir-fried chicken, broccoli & cauliflower. Served on hot food, it honestly tastes like a great chicken curry!!!..
I like the Russian dressing and the ketchup. I found them in our local grocery store health food area. I wish they made mayo..or do they?..
I believe mayo is available at their web site. I don't think it's been sent out to any stores as yet.....
I bought some dressings two days ago. I did try cesaer dressing- OMG that is awful. I'll never get this one again. HOney musterd is o.k. coud be better..
I like the Asian Dressing, although it has a stronger taste than some of the other WF dressings that I have had so if you are sensitive to that you may not like it as much..
Honey Mustard Dressing.
Creamy Bacon Dressing.
BBq Sauce -.
Purchased but not yet tried:.
Tried but didn't like:.
Cole Slaw Dressing ( I'll have to try doing Pam's Asian creation with this - thanks!).
Where do you find the Walden Farms products? I have a small independent store that carries some of the FF dips and salad dressing, but I would love the opportunity to try more..
Is the Caramel dip zero calorie also? I would love that with some apple slices this time of year...
To me, the caramel tastes more like butterscotch than caramel..
If they don't have it in your store, you can order from them online at their website. But I'd try a bottle first before you place an order in case you don't like it. I've seen it on Amazon or Netrition too...
They have a store locator on their website.
You'll find them in the heath food dept in your grocery store or a health food store..
Does anyone have a link to their deals? It's time for me to repurchase..
I just love their pancake syrup. I've tried sugar-free syrup from the stores (not calorie-free) and they are nasty in comparison..
I also love their apple butter and chocolate syrup...
You'll find lots of controversy on the products and you just have to work your way thru them to see which ones work with your particular taste buds..
Personally, my favorites & my dislikes are as follows:.
Favorites: Honey Dijon, Thousand Island & Russian salad dressings.
Good & very eatable: chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, Coleslaw dressing, Caesar dressing.
Dislike: syrups (its a texture thing, they are too thick), marinara sauce, alfredo sauce, Italian dressing..
They do make mayo. I bought it off their website. I really like it on sandwiches (great on a Dukan Diet burger) but it isn't very good mixed w/ things like tuna or crab...when you do that it doesn't really taste like mayo. If you wanted to use it for something like that you probably could use WF's mayo but cut the taste w/ a little low-fat mayo...
Thanks for the info. I've never tried the mayo...
My WalMart carries some of their products (mostly dressings) some of them are only sugar free, not calorie free. You need to watch out. I didn't even know they made them. Also Food Lion carries some of their products, if you live in the South. My Food Lion is discontinuing then though. Too bad because they only charged $2.99!!! My favorites are the syrup and BBq Sauce.
We use the dips and sauces in smoothies..
Just thought I'd add my 2 cents. Personally I love most of the WF products I've tried. For my "picky eater" in the house (DH) we've found a great compromise for his salad dressing. Pre-NS the ONLY dressing he would eat was Ken's Lite Country French (100 cal. for 2 tbs.) On a whim he decided to try to cut the cal/fat in half & mix "his dressing" w/the WF Thousand Island. He loves it..
