Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could give you help..
Check this link, and look for recipe 24 the raspberry cheese danish. I am sure you can replace with fresh/frozen/canned prunes..
Here's what I did to find the recipe for prune danish..
Hit SEARCH, then ADVANCED SEARCH, type PRUNE in the box, on the lower right side highlight Dukan Diet RECIPE FORUM, voila there is the recipe...
Easy peasy request to help with.
As noted above, christinagray has a Danish recipes on her board, and amysmithr has a variant for single serving.
Christina's w/ Dukan Diet Pancake Mix:.
Cherry Ricotta Danish -.
Blueberry Ricotta Danish -.
Christina's w/ non-NS mixes (multi serve).
Ricotta Cheese Breakfast Danish -.
Strawberry Cheesecake Danish -.
All you have to do to make your PRUNE version is to use a BABY foods Prune that works to a fruit serving - I've used Gerber 2nds (apple prune) and O-Organics (aka Safeway) - and voila as close as it gets AND legal I've been using her Strawberry Cheesecake Danish recipe for a couple years and I love it with baby food pureed fruit instead of the she had in the recipe - makes 4 servings nicely (I use 4 oval ramikins to make indiv servings and in proper shape).
Amy's version can be found in her breakfast listing.
Amysmithr's web site @.
Oh realy??? a recipe for prune danish??? sure was not on my list when I did a search using your parameters.
Then again using baby food prunes with christina's danish recipe (that she made single serve for amy) has worked for me for years and I have mentioned it once or twice in the past..
Yes really. I put '.
' in the search box, not prune danish. Actually she calls it a prune bar. I've bumped it up for the OP...
A prune BAR is not even CLOSE to a danish honest.
Would be better to suggest using "danish" as you found, there ARE recipes for that..
Oh and by the way there's also a danish recipe (using Dukan Diet pancake mix) in my Breakfast file it's Shirley's one that was published in the Dukan Diet newsletter and is probably in the Recipe Club (see Tips & Recipes' Tab) lmao.
Just pick one and sub Prunes (however you like me, chopped or pureed babyfood) for the fruit in the recipe..
Hi Tia ~.
Here is a recipe that I have been making for a while now and just recently finally typed it out. You might want to give it a try. Not sure if it's low cal enough for what your looking for but it is definitely low carb & high protein. I use this when I wanna keep a low carb few days but still have my "carby" type breakfast. It works for me and I love it. In my opinion it's close enough to "danish" without all the carbs..haha..
Of course use the fruit you want!.
Low Carb/High Protein Breakfast Danish Cake- single serving (by Jewels..me!).
*(230-250 cals for the entire breakfast including fruit) 20g protein, 5g carbs(not including fruit), 5g fat.
*(calories &stats are approximate, other brands and products may vary).
(70 cals) (do not use egg sub, it comes out too eggy).
1 Egg White.
( 17 cals ).
2 T FF Cream Cheese.
1 T FF Cottage Cheese.
(could use 1 more table spoon of Cream Cheese if want but adds a little more cals).
2 T Unprocessed Wheat Bran.
T baking powder.
T baking soda.
2 T Splenda.
1 t vanilla extract.
For Chocolate cake - add 1 T unsweetened baking coco (* tip- adding a little instant coffee grounds brings out the coco flavor too).
For Vanilla Cake - Add 2 teaspoons of ff/sf French vanilla instant pudding mix..
(can also add a little cinnamon to give a cinnamon roll effect) *tip- when making vanilla cake add a little more vanilla extract for more vanilla flavor *.
1 T ff Cream Cheese.
1 T ff Cottage Cheese.
Few drops of lemon juice.
Few drops of Vanilla.
A little splenda.
T vanilla pudding dry mix (fat free/sugar free) * optional.
T pancake dry mix (this just holds it all together when baking).
(add a little cinnamon if want cinnamon roll taste).
(Use teaspoon of Dukan Diet chocolate hot coco mix when making chocolate cake).
Preheat oven or toaster oven to 375.
Combine all cake ingredients together (I use a Magic Bullet but processor or blender would work) then pour into a sprayed (nonstick butter spay is good) 7x5x1.5 glass casserole dish (cake makes nicely in this size but would work in any kind of small cake pan). Then dollop with little spoon full of cream cheese mixture on top all around keeping slightly away from the edges. For strawberry Danish type put little dabs of sugar free strawberry jam on top of each cream cheese dollop..Yum! Or puree fruit on top. Then bake for about 18-20 mins..
Top with dab of ff cool whip & fruit of your choice.
(approx 50- 60 cals for fruit)..
I also like a little sugar free syrup too!..
You people are all MOST EXCELLENT! Thanks for taking the time..
If you did all that, why didn't you just post the link?..
Because if you look you will see that the OP just started in April. You're not new here. How many times have you read that people can't find something while doing a search?.
I was trying to be helpful and show her how to do a search. It just might come in handy in the future. But I guess there's something wrong when you're trying to teach a new person something..
I figured someone else would come along and try to gang up on me. But it ain't going to work...
I appreciate all the help. And unfortunately, 9 out of 10 times my search function is unresponsive...
Ah, then my "Snark-O-Meter" does NOT need recalibration. It was up in the red zone for some of these posts...
I have trouble with the search function every time I try it.....
