My question is What is the Fastest way to lose weight on Nutrisystem? Hoping for any response. My 2nd question... So I'm on day 14 of an @ss-kicking upper respiratory infection. Finally getting better although I am probably only at about 70% just from the loss of sleep over the past 2 weeks..
Just the last 2 nights I was able to sleep 6 hours in a row each night and begin to feel a bit more like myself..
Sinus infection then bronchitisand of course I went on antibiotics (which I generally believe to be useless!)..
I only walked a shorter track 3 of the past 4 nights and at that it has been a strugglecoughing till my ribs actually hurt when done! I didn't walk for 6 days in the middle of all this and that is the longest time I have missed in 9.5 monthswhich I'm not happy about, but what are you gonna do..
I did not miss any days of work. As the boss, there is no one to do my job so I tend not to call off when I'm really sick (which my employees obviously hate! lol)..
Anyway, no sleep, much less exercise, too many over-the-counter drugs, tired & sore with all the usual symptoms..
But the hardest thing? Was to eat ANYTHING. I just couldn't force myself to eat during about 12 of the days..
And the worst thing about it is that I count on the "good stuff" in my diet to keep me feeling energetic and goodso without all the protein, fiber, and vitamins/minerals from fresh veggies and fruits, I really felt crappy..
What's your guess? Do you think I lost weight with almost no caloric intake?.
Nope. Gained 1 lb as of this morning from 7 days ago!.
I think this reinforces that eating multiple healthy, right-sized portions, drinking tons of water, and SLEEP are all necessary for healthy weight loss..
Much more back on my feet today and feeling more like myself. My usual lunch is packed and tonight I'll walk at least 2 miles if it literally kills me. So after 2 weeks I will re-establish my routines and probably get back to feeling great..
Odd how much a typical respiratory infection can throw us off our game!.
Just thought I'd share..
PS. Nyquil may not be good for you, but it became my best friend! Nyquil, antibiotics, oranges and apples, and chicken broth FTW!..
I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..
Glad you're on the mend ~J~, and feeling better. Know what you're going through, as I fight through it every day, as I have COPD (smoked too damn much), but lucky that is is mild. Even so, it does get in the way, although since I've been riding my bike outdoors 4-6 miles a day for the past 3 weeks, it has improved, so there is light ahead in the tunnel.....hoping it isnt a choo-choo coming the other way... I am the worst pill taker, and I depend more on the old wives tale of Chicken Noodle Soup, etc when I have an attack in the upper chest area... Soon your appetite will return to normal, and get back on the wagon and start losing....
Just got back from the doc and I have pneumonia. no wonder my workouts were horrible - could barely breath. I feel for ya j..
Bob sorry to hear you got P-monia.......well, keep on the drugs and keep out of the cold air and you'll come out of it......
Drink extra water. The broth was probably high in sodium. It may not be a true weight gain...
Just an update (a sad, not very inspiring update!.
I finally got back on my feet last thursday. In total I was sick for about 17 days. Didn't eat much and of course couldn't do much nightly walking..
Had been holding about 205 and today am back to 210so at least a net gain of 5 lbs in 2 weeks of no sleeping and little exercise..
Friday walked 2 miles. Saturday 2 miles. Sunday 1.5 miles x 2. This week at least 1.5 miles each evening (mon-wed)..
Thankfully I've slept the past few nights so that has been a huge improvement. Back on track with situps and pushups as well starting last Friday..
Really knocked my you-know-what in the dirt for a couple of weeks there. Amazing how quickly I got a visit from 5 lbs! That's half a bear!!!.
Back to basics and feeling good today!.
