Made me realize a few things I know, but didn't implement...
It is all down to differentiating between Current Market Value and Actual Worth.
Sometimes the gulf is huge. The first is affected a lot by hype and perceptions built on historical precident. The second requires more fundamental analysis.
Only when you can differentiate between the two, do you have the potential to make a profit. The problem is that to realise that profit, the two need to realign which in the longer-term ultimately they must. That realignment generally takes time. Sometime years. But if your assessments are correct it will happen.
If you understand these basic concepts, you are equipped to speculate with anything, not just HostGator names...
