Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you help..

I totally agree. I was on Nutrisystem 2 years ago at this time of year and actually lost 5lbs during Thanksgiving week by being smart. I worked dinner into my plan. Turkey for protein, veggies as normal, a baked sweet potato rather than the marshmallow covered yams, small wheat rolls with I can't believe it's not butter, and a very small piece of pie to satisfy the craving..

Its all in maintaining control and laying out your menu ahead of time. Same goes for the December holidays. Be strong!..

Last year I went off diet for most of december choosing to live care free for the holidays and ended up putting on 13 lbs, wont be making that same mistake this year. At the time it set me back three weeks and the trade off wasn't really worth it. The Holidays are fun whether I eat 900 lbs of turkey or not...

I've always tended to put on weight during the winter months, starting at the holidays obviously. So yeah I can definitely see that being a trend for others too. Then come spring time, when I couldn't wear a jacket/coat anymore and all my clothes were too tight, I'd go into "panic diet mode!".

I'm definitely more disciplined, and planning better for this years holidays though. For Thanksgiving and Xmas I currently only intend to eat off plan for the "big dinner" meals, and nothing else. Even then I can practice proper portion control (not using "off plan" as an excuse to go hog-wild). So far since starting NS, I've only had 2 weekends where I've gone off plan. Each time I used that strategy, and each time on Monday morning the scale was the same. Didn't go down, but more importantly it didn't go up!..

Ha! Just goes to show what "they" know! Now that I've had a couple years of this gig under my belt (so to speak), I find that I peak out over the summer and spend the cold weather months getting it back under control..

I eat smart on Thanksgiving and do NOT have left overs. There is a lot of butter and salt in those sides. I eat a smart Thankgiving dinner and immediately go back on NS. This year is no different...

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm not F$%*ing things up by gorging myself with food during the holidays. No Halloween candy, & no pigging out on Thanksgiving or Christmas. I've learned my lesson & am never going back!.

I'm sort of off plan right now. Only a few Nutrisystem lunches and dinners left in the pantry. So I'm winging it, but using the Nutrisystem way of eating...low cal, low carbs, portion control, etc.... Last night had one slice of Dominos pizza and a huge @ss salad w/ fat free dressing. That's it and that's the way it's got to be from now on. No more excuses...

Are you tracking your calories, or just letting that take it's natural course via eating the way you are?..

I stopped tracking calories on the Nutrisystem site, but I'm keeping a mental tally throughout the day. Sort of easy since I'm basically eating non Nutrisystem foods but within the Nutrisystem Men's plan & structure, with some Nutrisystem meals thrown in. My daily calorie intake is probably around 1600-1800. My 3 daily meals whether they are Nutrisystem or not are basically 250-400 calories, depending...
