Got a question, hope someone can answer... What do you all think about high fat Dukan Diets? Many thanks for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. A lot of the recipes I have read here and on other blogs from Dukan Diet folks talk about using FF cheese but I am not able to find that anywhere. Do most of you use reduced fat cheese for your recipes or if not, where do you find FF cheese? Thanks...

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I got an useful answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could assist you..

All the grocery stores I've been to carry FF cheddar cheese. And many carry shredded LF cheddar, LF mozzarella, and LF colby jack cheeses. There's also FF slices of Swiss for sandwiches. I don't mind the taste/texture of the LF cheeses, especially when I'm constantly reminding myself it's a better/healthier option. Also, if you want to melt the cheese in the microwave, someone posted a good trick: spritz on some ICBINB before nuking it. Hope this helps!..

Kraft makes it. As the dairy manager in your local supermarket. If they know people want it, sometimes they'll order it for you...

My supermarkets are kinda hit & miss. One particular store will have it one week but not the next, and the other store has it hidden in the wrong section..

Kraft DOES make sliced fat free american cheese. You just have to find it. When I get down to 4 or 5 slices left at home I usually try to find it so that I don't run out before I can get some more..

For string cheese (my protein serving) I get the 2% lowfat since it is within the program stats for a protein serving...

I see a real cheese made by Kraft and they use 2% milk. However I only see it in 1 local store. It tastes great...

Sliced cheese - I use Kraft FF slices - have found American, Sharp Cheddar and Swiss - the sharp cheddar has the best taste IMO..

Kraft also has already shredded FF cheddar - it is labled Kraft Free. It is fine for sprinkling on something already hot to soften it, but usually turns to a plastic consistency when I try to actually cook with it. Maybe I need to try the ICBINB hint.

I have also found FF feta cheese, both plain and herb flavored - love them both !! - and a FF blue cheese that was ok. These are always in the deli section - not with the other packaged cheese products...

Walmart sells Kraft and Borden FF sliced pre-packaged cheese. The Borden comes in 'sharp' and 'american'. You have to read the labels very closely..

Find the person who takes care of the dairy section if it's not in the case. They have a print out of foods that they warehouse...

Just outta curiousity, has anyone tried ff or lf ricotta? What's it like? How is it when used for cooking/baking?..

I bought fat free ricotta on a visit to the US and found it gelatinous - nothing at all like the real thing, but great for baking..

No fat free cheese here(other than plastic cheese) but there is 4% Allegro. It's okay but I'd rather have the real stuff and count it as a fat + protein...
