Question I have... What can I take to Nutrisystem pot luck lunch? Hoping for any response. Second question of mine... I'm in an awkward stage right now where I'm not down to what I'd ideally like to be (waist wise), so I don't want to invest in buying multiple pairs of jeans. I just want to buy one good pair that looks decent on chubby dudes (40 to 44 inch waist, I guess) such as myself..

Any suggestions for brands or cuts/styles? I have a problem with jeans looking bulky below the knee when I carry a bigger waist...

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you an answer..

I found some at consigment stores. old navy is cheap. also, try burlington coat factory if you have one by you - they have the "fell off the truck" stuff. so does marshalls. good luck!..

Being a western dresser, I've worn either Wrangler or Lee Boot Cuts for +50 years, but of course, that is the cowboy in me.... good ideas from the others above though, especially if you are in the "in-between" going down further. We dont have any of those "big named stores" locally though....live in the sticks....

Levi 555's have a relax fit, but aren't fat boy jeans!..

Haggar's outlet near me. I owned all sizes between 44 and 32 on my way down. $20. Good fit...

Actually these were my go to pair when I was above 40". Maybe Im thinking of Loose Fit. At any rate I've pretty much given up on properly fitting pants since I seem to drop a sizes like crazy..

Really my problem is with the pants industry! Why is a 36 not a 36 across the board. When I was shopping at big and tall at least it was consistent. On the plus side I don't mind trying clothes on in the store anymore, and I can shop damn near anywhere!..

Interesting story here about waist size and jeans:.

Shows that a 36" pants size is not 36 really anywhere. That's why you have different 36" 's - cuz really, 36" should be 36". Not really a "give or take" kind of measurement...

Since I was dropping sizes so often, I bought some cheap jeans for about $12 bucks. Canyon River Blues jeans (relaxed fit) 36" waist, from Sears..

These suckers have plenty o room...I can even wear long johns underneath without a problem. Not so much room in my wrangler and lee 36" waist jeans...

I started with 42s and when the weight started dropping and the 42s were falling off I bought some 38s - but I didn't wear these for very long and they were also too big. So I figured until I got to around my goal weight I would keep buying smaller sizes but get the cheapest I could find for a while. I have been getting Faded Glory at Walmart @ $9/pair. They come in regular or relaxed fit. So if you are dropping the pounds I wouldn't spend too much as you may not get too many miles out of them.

Also, I had some good advice from a friend...don't keep the fat pants around - give them away!..
