Question I have... What can I eat lots of using Nutrisystem? Looking forward for any response. My 2nd question... I am officially starting my Nutrisystem program on Tuesday and my question is this....

At the end of May I am taking my kids to Disneyworld and will be limited to the foods they offer as I really don't want to use precious packing space on foods especially since I won't have access to a microwave oven for really any meal during the days..

Since I am certain others here have had to deal with the Disney dilemma, what kind of foods did you eat while there?..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an good answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you an answer..

Thanks. I have to admit, I am a little nervous here at the start looking at the size of the frozen meals. I have a fear that I will be hungry a lot. Hope I'm wrong...

Run over to the men's room (Dan Marino's). Those guys have lost 100, 200 pounds or more each...and they have it down pat. They will help you through it all, seriously. I lost 105 pounds and was never hungry, not once. It is possible. Welcome aboard...

Pam's so rightthere's no reason to be hungry. I've been onNutrisystemjust shy of six weeks and have only been hungry when I was so busy I forgot to eat every few hours. There are lots of unlimited vegetables to munch on and if you spread out your meals, you'll stave off hunger. I eat every two or three hours and max out my proteinit's rare I ever have actual hunger pangs..

You can take bars with you when you go to DW, they'll take up so little space you'll hardly even notice. Be sure to drink lots of water while you're there and for your veggies, you could take some carrot sticks, cucumber slicesso many options that won't take up much space!.

As Pam said, by the time you go, you'll have learned so much! The key is planning ahead and making sure you have what you need no matter the situation. I even take a container of grape tomatoes, sliced bell peppers and zucchini, and mushrooms with me when I run errandsjust in case. And, I'm rarely without a water bottle!.

Simply put, it's a lifestyle change and you'll be surprised how quickly you'll adjust!..

Yeah, I'm gonna struggle with the whole veggie thing. I can't stand'em. ceasar salad is about the only thing I like..

I have discovered a new found love for hard boiled eggs again though...

I just went to disney about 3 weeks ago. I packed my breakfast and my lunch (bars mostly). I supplemented with what veggies and fruits I could find at the parks (ask someone who works there - they all have a place you can get something healthy). At dinner, I chose wisely for the most part...except for the last night and oy veh did I feel sick after that meal. all and all I came back .1 up and then dropped 2 the very next day. I also made time to run every morning.

Just try and if you aren't perfect, don't beat yourself up about it...

Ya gotta MAN UP about the veggies, boy-o! Seriously, that is the key to healthful weightloss and maintenance. Don't let the men here see ya whine about your veggie...just a fair warning..

In the meantime, have your wife buy the book "Deceptively Delicious" by Jessica Seinfeld (yes, Jerry Seinfeld's wife). It shows parents how to hide vegetables in their kid's food (and it works for adults, too!)...

DW has a LOT of great choices..

I went in 2/08. I was on WW at the time, and went for 3 days. I lost 4# while I was there from all the walking!..

GERD and gas is an issue for me with veggies. Thats why I can't stand them...

Have you discussed this with your doctor? Aren't there ANY veggies you can eat?..

Peas, corn, green beans and small amounts of salad seem to be OK for me. I haven't had much luck with the others...

I know that alcohol (loved me some wine) and my french fries and cheeseburgers did it to me (as well as being 100 pounds overweight!). As soon as I lost some weight, got rid of the alcohol and grease...NO MORE GERD!.

Now, the gas...well, that's another story...welcome to NutriToots.....

Use Beano my friend. It will help with the toots. If you don't get complete relief then reduce the amount of foods containing sugar alcohols as that can be gas producing too. But keep at the veggies. Eventually you will find some you can eat...

I hate veggies as well, except carrots. I bought a bunch of fruits and will just substitute them in. It may not be the same as brocolli but......

My brother's wedding is at the end of May. Not only would I liked to have lost at least 10 llbs by then if not way more, I know there will be food at the rehearsel dinner and then actual wedding that won't be good for me, so I will just stay away..

I am at the airport right now waiting to go home. I just went off program for the week and ate what I wanted. Weighed myself at the hotel today and with clothes on and wet hair I was 0.8 lbs more then when I left home. Happy but I guess I am not too surprised after all that walking everyday!!!!..

You will definitely have a gas issue with nutrisystem anyway. tooot tooot..

I never ate very many veggies other than bean, taters peas and corn. Now I am on Broccoli, Cauliflower, green beans and carrots. I still dont like the other veggies...

I just got back from a trip for over a week. I had some food mailed to my hotel so I didn't have to lug it around. You can ask your hotel if they have microwaves you could have in your room. Just tell them you are on a special diet. I did and fixed myself pizza for dinner and took it along with me. I also bought the thin sandwich roles and made tuna sandwiches for lunch, plus I kept fruit in my room. I actully got a refrigerator too, often hotels have them for diabetic customers...
