Quick question: What are the Nutrisystem points for chicken & cheese quesedillas at Chili's Restraunt? Many thanks for any comment. Another question... I think I expected the pounds to melt away or at least show more progress. I am following the food religiously (since the 17th of Jan) and have started the past week with a 30-45 min (dancing) 4 days a week. I was up 1.5 lbs today from last weigh in. I am sore, tired, and the pizza my family ordered last night sure smelled good!.

Just looking for a little pick me up... it's a challenge for me to come up with the money every month, but I think this is important. I just want it to work..

You mentioned you are sore...sore muscles can retain a lot of water weight (think if the swelling you get in a twisted ankle, for example). I bet it comes right off! This is the reason my ONE rest day from exercising is the day before I weigh in, because I have had this happen more than once. If I take a long run the day before weigh in my weight WILL be up..

Hang in there!..

Sorry you are having a tough start but I assure you. It will work when you stick with the program. Your body has no choice but to change..

Take lots of pictures of yourself and also take measurements. Your body can be transforming and the scale doesn't necessarily show inches lost..

Now back away from the good smelling Pizza, odds are it smells good but is responsible for larger undies...

I drink all the water, and I don't feel hungry at all. I eat veggies or drink the low sodium v8 juice. I will try to call the counselor and get advice, that's a good idea. I did not know that about the sore muscles retaining water. I will try to keep that in mind when weigh in comes!!..

Gypsy - too many people get focused on the scale and let it affect their motivation, moods, etc. You were given great advice re: photos and measurements because you will see body changes that are not reflected on the scale. Keep up the great work and forget about the number. Stay off the scale for a month and just trust the program...

Gypsy - I feel ya! I am losing (6# since Jan. 6) but I expected it to come off much faster. I know they say 1-2# per week is good, but I always figure with what I weigh, it should be more. I'm eating 1200 cal / day, working my tail off at the gym - it should be melting away, right? I just have to keep reminding myself to be patient. I've also found it helps my outlook if I don't weigh in every week, but every week and a half to two weeks. Two days ago I weighed the same as I did a week and a half ago - today I'm down two pounds..

I also wonder how much our previous eating habits come into play. I didn't go straight from eating junk to NS. I'd already lost 30# over the course of about 8 months when I started NS, so I was already eating quite well. I like to assume that's why I'm not seeing huge numbers (or smaller numbers, I guess) on the scale. Hang in there!!..

If you've been on the program for three weeks and you've lost eight pounds, as it states in your signature, in that time, that's more than the average people lose. Like it says on the website and in theNutrisystemliterature, you are expected to lose an average of 1-2 pounds per week on NS. With your sore muscles and the weight retention that comes from that, I think you're way ahead of the game. Just keep on with the program!..

I used to weigh myself daily but got so frustrated that now I use my clothes as my guideline. I pick something that is snug and as it starts to feel more comfortable, I know I'm on the right path! When I can wear that piece of clothing,I pick another item that is snug.... I unfortunately have many sizes in my closet!!!! LOL...
