Question I have... What are the best restaurants to go to while on Nutrisystem? Hoping for any answer. Second question of mine... Hey wanted to share this recipe, as I am a french fry addict and these were a pretty good solution.

1. cut up 1/2 cup of summer squash- I used yellow but I think zucchini would be good too- cut into a shape similar to that of steak style french fries..

2. beat one egg- you don't use the whole thing... I used about 1/4 of the egg- you can sub in an egg white or egg beaters if you want- add salt and pepper or any other spices you like.

3. measure out 20 calories worth of low-cal bread crumbs.

4. dip squash pieces in the egg then the bread crumbs and place on a baking sheet with 1 tsp of olive oil on it(or other cooking spray if you prefer).

5. place in oven at 425 for 8 minutes, flip and cook for 4 more minutes.

6. enjoy. they are really good- tender from the squash but crispy from the egg/bread crumbs.

I used this at dinner with one fat serving(oil), two free food servings(bread crumbs, part of an egg- both 20 cals or less) and a veggie serving...

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you help..

Who makes low calorie bread crumbs, I did a search but nothing?.

What about panko breadcrumbs are they lower..

I think your best bet would be to make your own. I use Healthy Life whole wheat bread at 35 cals a slice. Just dry it out in the oven and crush. I haven't tried this receipe, but sure will though, sounds yummy..

I LOVE zucchini and have been trying to think of more ways to serve it. Thanks for the great tip..... going to try it tonight..

My current favorite is chopped onion, zucchini & mushrooms with a little olive oil in a skillet. I add a dash of low sodium soy sauce at the last minute. YUM!..
