Before I ask my question, I want to ask: What are some free GoDaddy coupon codes for 2011?.

My main question is: .

Greetings,.

Hoping some of you will generously share some information.

I wish to implement some rate limits on the large GI domains which we mail to, such as cox, adelphia, earthlink, etc.. The bigger ones. (We filter out all joebobplumbing.com etc. which has proven extremely successful in complaint reduction and ip longevity.).

Can anyone share what effective limits should be set on these in terms of maximum emails per hour per IP? I would also be grateful for your input regarding the big boys ie hotmail hourly rate limits..

A few years ago it was all about pure speed.. Now it's all about speed limits..

Your experience and input is greatly appreciated,.

Well, I'll contribute that we limit our hotmail output to 500/hour/ip. This has avoided getting the door slammed shut. Can we get away with raising this a little bit?.

Side note: Of course, content and response rate matter as much as limits. So if you are obeying the speed limit, but sending the same non-responding creatives over and over, you will get the door shut on you regardless of speed.

So it's not all about speed and limits, but it's a major variable in the equation.. So please contribute your thoughts...

Thx.

I'll try to keep this thread going. Copied this from Cox..

I've asked a lot of people on here privately for their PMTA config file if they are monitoring ISP's and limiting accordingly. No one wants to put it up unfortunately...

Get on the powermta forum and you can see all the settings that they recommend...

For one....

Hotmail 5k/day/ip then double your volume once a week...

Hmm yeah but do you have to actually own a copy to be on their forum? I had a trial license for like 30 days at one point. Maybe you can fetch some goood info and post here?..

If you use PMTA there is a nice sticky thread in the configuration section of their support forums with examples based on user feedback and postmaster documentation. Even if you don't use PMTA the settings are there for you to read and a bunch of the links to those postmaster guidelines are there as well..

I just noticed you need to have a login for the above mentioned link. Here is a copy and paste of the settings..

Andrew, can you repost? that document is all blanked out..

It worked great for me, perhaps you need to update your Acrobat Reader...

It didn't work on whatever libraries OS X was using for their preview tool. But when I loaded it into the actual Adobe software it worked fine. Just an FYI for anyone on a Mac...

Cannot get the file either. Maybe rapidshare limits the number of downloads, judging by redirect URL and error message. Could you upload PDF as a public Google Doc?.

Thanks for the awesome info in this thread!.

P.S. Just tried THE Google and here it is http://www.scribd.com/doc/29001173/c...ughput-021009a. Is this the right / current version?..
