My first question is Tips for Dukan Diet and weightloss please! :)? Thanks in advance for any comment. Another question on my mind: I tried this Hungry Girl recipe from her cookbook, and wow, it's so good!.
8 oz. raw boneless skinless chicken breast; cut into bite-sized pieces.
3 cups frozen mixed vegetables.
(I used a whole bag of Steamfresh broccoli, cauliflower & carrots).
1 can (10.75 oz.) Campbell's Condensed Soup, 98% Fat Free Cream of Celery.
3 servings Pillsbury Reduced Fat Crescent Rolls (unprepared).
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Saute chicken pieces for several minutes in a pan spritzed with nonstick cooking spray, until chicken is light brown/cooked but still tender; set aside. Heat frozen veggies in microwave according to package. Mix chicken, vegetables and soup together and put in a 9" round baking dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Place dish in oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly (stir about halfway through). While dish is cooking, unroll 3 crescent rolls.
With a rolling pin, roll dough out into a circle to cover top of dish. Add dough to the top of the dish and cook for an additional 15 - 20 minutes or until top is golden brown. Serves 4..

Sorry my pic isn't that pretty,my camera batteries died and I cannot find the charger, so I used my phone!! LOL.
NOTE: the crescent rolls are not low GI but this is high in protein and together with the fiber from the veggies, you slow the glycemic load to your blood sugar..
Edited to add: this counts as your entree + veggies...
That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably can help you..
Loredana, hi girl. This one looks like another winner, thanks...
LOL, no... but I gave a serving to the cable guy who was doing the Saturday shift and fixed my cable and brought my brother another at the fire station! LOL..
I have trouble finding the low fat crescent rolls. I think I looked a while back...
Oh, I'm glad you tried this!! I saw the recipe in the cookbook and it looked easy enough for someone like me... a definite non-cook!! I was most concerned about the crust, but I think I can actually do it!!!!..
Hi Loredana- This looks delicious! Is this cookbook worth purchasing? Are most of the meals in the book Dukan Diet friendly or do they need to be tweaked a bit?..
I'd say most of the lunches & dinners are pretty good to go for us as written. Some of the breakfasts are good, obviously the egg dishes. The only problem with the other recipes is the protein isn't quite high enough for a lot of them, but usually it's a pretty easy fix to up the protein, so I am pleased with the book!!..
The book is only 9 dollars or so at Walmart, I do think it's a great book. I would say some of the desserts are lower in protein but great ideas nontheless, I would recommend it. I love her recipe for the creamy crab stuffed mushrooms...
