First off, Thanksgiving and Christmas -Any that is On Nutrisystem Flex Point Plan? Thanks for any comment. Second question of mine... Good Morning and Happy New Year!.

I hope everyone is having a nice Saturday morning as we begin our first day of 2011. With a new year just beginning, often times we reflect on the past year and decide what things we'd like to do differently. Making New Years resolutions are usually the most popular thing that people do and statistics find that only 12% of those resolutions end up successful. Today's devotion is "Inventory Time" by Mary Southerland. A way to grow in our walk with God is to take a spiritual inventory. Let's each look at this new year as a new chapter in our lives.

Let's keep our focus on God and we will be richly blessed. Enjoy the devotion and have a Blessed day!.

Inventory Time.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,.

Who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (NIV).

The tree is down, the decorations are packed away and the company has all gone home. I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and have emerged, relatively unscathed, ready to face a New Year. If you have ventured out into the malls, you have discovered those stores that were crammed full for a solid month are now almost deserted in comparison. The store clerks that just days ago welcomed you with open arms and flashing smiles now ignore you as if you were an intrusion. There's a reason. They are busy taking their yearly inventory.

A spiritual inventory is an important tool of growth in our walk with God. How can we know where we are headed if we don't know where we have been? What lessons did we learn during the last year? What do we want to keep and what needs to be tossed aside as we face a new year? What changes need to happen and what needs to remain the same? What new choices do we need to make in order to achieve new goals the right goals?.

It is often so easy to keep on doing "the next thing." We put one foot in front of the other, casually drifting through a life without purpose, only to wake up one day to discover that we have wasted much of that life on the "unimportant." I don't know about you, but I have reached the point in life where I absolutely refuse to live in survival mode. I want my life to count ... to make an impact..

For several nights, I have found myself lying awake for hours, pondering the "next step." I am on my knees asking God for His direction, and trusting Him to make those steps clear. I have decided that when I can't understand the plan or see what's just ahead, I will choose to trust God. It is a decision I make continually..

This New Year, 2011, is not just another year; it is another chapter of life, filled with opportunities, challenges and fresh purpose. I choose against my "old nature" that wants to just sit back and rest in the warmth of yesterday's victories or hide in the darkness of yesterday's defeats..

Instead, I choose to strain both victory and defeat through the promise of Romans 8:28 that all things work together for good, learning the truths and lessons that need to be learned while embracing God's highest plan for my life. We do not have to settle for anything less than knowing God and pursuing all that He holds in His hands for each one of us. Right now, pick up that pad and pencil and get started on your own personal inventory. May this be the most God-honoring year of your life..

Let's Pray.

Father, thank You for all that You have done in my life this year. There are so many times during the past year when I would not have made it through the day without Your power and presence. Help me to apply the lessons of 2010 in this New Year so that I will grow and become more like You, leading others to seek and know You. I love You, Father, and praise You for all that You have in store for me in 2011. May my life be a trophy of Your grace, mercy and love. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably know..

I am starting the New Year with what is probably a case of bronchitisI NEVER get sick, but....and now I'm stressed about getting my Christmas decorations put away. I usually do that on new years while DH watches bowl games, but todya I'm afraid I'll be sitting with the heating pad on my back or in bed...yuck~ However, I finally reached the 50lb threshold!! I was hoping to get there by Christmas, but I'll take New Years!!!.

Welcome to our new friend, please feel free to post here alot. It's a great group of Christian friends to offer support and encouragement, and prayer power!.

Dear Father,.

Thank You for your constant presence in our lives as we travel our weight loss journeys together. Father, thank You for all that You have done in my life this year. There are so many times during the past year when I would not have made it through the day without Your power and presence. I love You, Father, and praise You for all that You have in store for me in 2011. May my life be a trophy of Your grace, mercy and love.

Thank You for blessing us with this wonderful nation where freedom abounds. Please bless President Obama and his family, his staff, the House of Representatives, the Senate and the Supreme Court Justices. Please guide their hearts when making decisions that affect the entire nation and influence the world. Let their actions truly reflect that we are "One Nation Under God". I ask that the Holy Spirit guide their decisions to protect the unborn and those that are unable to speak for themselves. Please bless our men and women in uniform who protect our great nation and are often times separated from their families for long periods of time.

"Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done,.

On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as.

We forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil..

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.".

Good night sisters and brothers. Have a peaceful night's sleep and may God Bless each of you...

HelloNutrisystemfriends Happy New Year and Welcome Crystie!.

Now that the Holidays are gone, there are no more parties to attend I am able to focus again on NS, I long for the day when I dont let a gathering of people who bring food upend my weightloss journey. I resolve with the Lords help to follow thru better, to log my foods and to check in here regularly..

Good to see you Debbie Lisa and Lori, I hope you feel better Debbie, I still recomend Hylands bronchial cough tabs from the homeopathic store..

Hi, CSGers!.

Lynda - I envy your snow! Yes, I know envy is wrong, but I LOVE snow!.

Debbie - Please rest and get well soon. Praying for you!.

Lisa - I had a quiet holiday. The weather wasn't very cooperative this year - freezing rain, sleet. So, I opted to stay home rather than risk driving. Thank you for asking..

Like many of you, I am looking forward to getting back on track with NS. I need the routine of daily life to keep me in line..

Well, I am off to finish getting things ready for the week ahead. Have a great afternoon, all. Blessings!'.

Boy it is cold here we are getting a few flurries and they are few I wish there was snow with this cold at least that would be fun, I just came in had to get my shepherds hooks in the grounds since we just had Indian summer and the ground was soft so now I can feed my birds this winter, I notice though I had forgotten to dump my rain barrels.

One I could dump but the other one was so full and frozen still, I may lose it come spring.

As it may crack from the Ice..

We had a good sermon this morning they had combined the two services though so we will have to try venue next week and then we went and cut DD's hair short again she seams to like it better when it is short, it is certainly easier to take care of that is for sure..

Well it is dinner time here so it is time to figure out what every one is in the mood for since I have to make 3 kinds though DH and mine are the easy ones as we are both doingNutrisystemit is just my picky eater that has to pick hers.

I will see you all later enjoy your dinner when you eat it and have a good night...

Hi everyone! Happy New Year!!.

To start the New Year off right, I am recommitting toNutrisystemstarting tomorrow. I went out today and bought 2 dance games for the Wii that I think I'll be able to do with my hurt ankle. One is Just Dance 2 - DS and I played today and without doing it for long we had worked up a sweat. The other is Gold's Gym Dance Workout. I haven't tried it yet but I did some research and it looks good. Unfortunately, I've gained quite a bit of weight since I got re-hurt in July.

Lisa, you can take my brother off the prayer list. I think he's in a pretty good place and even though it will take a long time for the healing I don't think he needs to stay on the list anymore..

Can you believe the holidays are over and it's back to "normal" tomorrow? I took down all of the decorations today and it feels so empty in my house. I would like another week off (as I'm sure we all would)..

As an update on DH's situation, he has not heard anything about the interview he had before Christmas. We're hopeful that it was just due to people being out for the holidays and that we'll hear something soon. We still feel good about the position and continue to pray that God goes before DH..

Have a wonderful evening. Talk to you tomorrow...

Hi Everyone! This was my first day and so far so good. Not loving the food but who could after eating the way I have for 3 months. I am so grateful to find a Christian Support Group on line. I too have been sick for the last couple of days so it is great that I dont have to worry about food. Fixing food for my family is much easier now. Please feel free to advise on any favorite foods.

I thank him for all of you and that his mercies are new every day!..

I startedNutrisystem(again) today! I tried a veggie omlet...not impressed but it was ok! Heavier than I've ever been and with this "boot", it's just not helping at all! Looking forward to getting some of this weight off and feeling better; maybe that will help my foot too!.

Took 2 truck loads and 2 explorer loads to the storage unit yesterday. It's amazing what you find in the attic after 22 years! LOL! Hope you all have a glorious day in Lord! I'll check in later!!..

Good Morning CSG! I hope the week is starting off well for each of you. Each of us needs to rest in order to be restored and energized. Our Lord also wants us to rest in Him and surrender our lives to Him. Through Jesus, we can rest assured we have eternal salvation and through the Holy Spirit, we can rest in the comfort given to us when we're in need and seek the Holy Spirit's help and guidance. Find divine rest through our Loving Father who walks by our side each day and is there to pick us up and wrap His loving arms around us if we just ask..

Enjoy the devotion and have a Blessed day!.

Rest.

By Margaret D. Mitchell.

"But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster." ~I Kings 5:4.

There comes a time when God puts our enemies under our feet. Indeed, He gives us a period of rest so that we may concentrate on the work He has set before us. God's gift of divine rest offers us freedom, peace and protection. And it is ours through salvation and obedience in Jesus Christ..

There is complete trust available in God's divine rest. So much so that Deuteronomy 25:19 tells us to forget about the enemies who attacked us when we were weary and worn out..

David declared in Psalm 62, "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him" (vs. 1). "Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him" (vs. 5)..

Sometimes, we must take authority over our frantic souls and command them to rest, to come in alignment with the living word of God. Little wonder the word "rest" appears 275 times in the Bible. Consider it's many definitions:.

Rest is a period of refreshing, a freedom from exertion and anxiety, a stopping place for shelter. To rest means to restore energy, to be supported against something (like the shelter of the Most High), to depend upon someone (like Jesus) for action or as a burden or responsibility, to rely on something (like the Holy Spirit) for proof or explanation, to conclude the presentation of evidence in a case (as in it is finished!)..

Divine rest comes after a fulfillment of a promise, or completion, as in the case of King Solomon (I Kings 5:4) and as in the case of the Israelites taking dominion over the Promised Land (Joshua 1:13-15). It allows for restoration, a new beginning. It ushers in God's glory (Is. 11:10), and it is rewarded to those who are righteous in the Lord and see the journey through..

In Jesus, we can rest secure from all that burdens or threatens us. Indeed, He is our way and our truth. He is our friend. And He assures us that His unfailing love rests upon us, as we put our hope in Him (Psalm 33:22), just as The Father assured Moses that His presence will go with him, and He would give him rest as he journeyed forth in obedience (Exodus 33:14)..

If we are prone to over work, the Lord may have to make us lie down and rest like the sheep in the fields (Psalm 23). There was a season one year where the Lord spoke Psalm 23 to me repeatedly through various resources. I finally got the message..

Sometimes it's easy to forget that the Lord and His angels work on our behalf to position and align us, others and circumstances for His perfect timing, His perfect will. What we think we should be doing is not always God's agenda. He has taught me to lay down false responsibilities by praying every day, "Lord, I surrender my agenda to You. Have your way in my day.".

Jesus said, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:28-29)..

If you are in need of divine rest, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you any unconfessed sins, and confess them. Then declare Psalm 91:1-2 over yourself, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty" and Isaiah 32:18, "My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.".

May God's unfailing love rest upon you, and may you enter into His resting place safe, secure and highly favored until you journey home to have eternal rest with Jesus...

I have not lost any weight over the holidays.but I have not gained any weight either. Considering I spent a lot of time eating my regular cooking, that is a real accomplishment..

I tried to exercise, but I got short of breath during a day of cooking and cleaning up, so exercises are stretching only. This has been a productive break from work (teaching at a community college, so I am off from Dec 16 to Jan 10). I knitted a sweater and hat for my son's dog. I crocheted two outfits and a small teddy bear (and I am sewing the large quilt today) for my niece's new baby. I cooked some comfort food while I had some time off. As long as I eat smaller portions, I do not gain weight.

I think I am going to buy a Wii this week and try some of the exercise and dance stuff. When I am up to it, I also need pilates for muscle tone. Do any of you have suggestions for Wii games that would work for someone who gets out of breath easily but still needs to move around and exercise?.

Marilyn..

Good evening, friends! Well, I made it through the day after having a long break due to the holidays. Surprisingly, the kids did well, too. The only "glitch" was having class interrupted for head checks. But, I managed to get everything taught - always a plus..

Welcome, Carolyn and Michelle! I am Lorie from Missouri. I teach 5th grade..

Jette, I understand how difficult it was for your DD to head back to school. As much as I love my job, I do love my breaks..

Well, ladies, I must go take care of my fur babies. They are wanting dinner and some attention. Have a good night, all! Blessings!.

Hello my dear NSers, Have I told you how encouraging it has been to have a Christian support group? Well it is! I love each and every one of you and wish an especially warm welcome to Michelle and Carolyne. I am Hoping to get to know you both better as we get back into healthy routines. I suggest the Chocolate chocolate chip pudding, it is a perfect end to my day. Whaterver they did to create the reciepe makes it the best I have ever had, I add two TBS fat free cool whip and it's heaven for a few moments!.

I am surprised and encouraged that several of us had struggles through the holidays. Usaually I mess up and stay off program for about 6 monthes no matter what diet I am on, but I truly struggled every day to start over. I like you, Marilyn. Also felt that need for my own cooking especially after thanksgiving and eating my moms incredible cooking..

I didnt gain, nor did I get on the scale to look either. I had a few chocolate moments and moved on, and now to my surprise I have lost 2 pounds since Saturday! I am 15 pounds down now but I forget how to change the ticker, so if someone could give me a heads up I will do that..

Lisa your devotion was just wonderful today! Its right where I am, no current crisis, no pain beyond my back issues. Its a little scary to find the only thing I am being asked to do is rest. Christmas was incredibly tiring as I shop and wrap for two households now, but still it was all very smooth, DH was in good spirits, which is a blessing as he does not enjoy the hectic holiday momentum. So I sit here asking the Lord what now. I have done some soul searching and my goals are to be more punctual and to pray much much more as He leads me. This is turning into a book, it's just that you are all so loving it causes me to open my heart to you as well, I end with hellos and Quick healing to Debbie, Lori, keep on keeping on I am struggling right there with you, Seanne Its great to see you here! You are the first NSer I met when I began the program in November, the Lord will give you strength to do the routine GF! I think thats everyone, if I missed anyone Im sending a big hug your way..

Go with God NSers.

Kathy..

Hi friends. Welcome to the newbies - I'm Kimberly from Colorado. Glad you are joining us - you'll find this is a wonderful group of supportive women..

Well, today was the first day back to work and on the diet (again) and things went okay. Fortunately work is a bit slow this week which is a blessing..

As for the diet, I am being totally honest with myself (and therefore with you) and changed my weight to what I weighed this morning. It's such a drag that it's heavier than when I originally startedNutrisystemin March 2010 but I'm going to look forward, instead of back..

I decided to go back to my old protein diet that I used to lose the original 70 pounds. I'm only going to do it for 5 days to give me that kick start that I need. Once I get to day 6 I'm going to start NS..

As for the Wii games (sorry, I can't remember who asked) I just bought Just Dance 2 and Gold's Gym Dance workout. We also have the Wii Fit and EA Active Sports. I don't think the Wii Fit is great for a weight loss tool but the others help. I know there are a whole lot of fitness games out there too (Biggest Loser, Jillian Michaels, Zumba Fitness). I would google Wii game reviews and look at them to get an idea of what they are like. That's what I do at least before I decide to buy a game.

Time for a cup of tea and then bed. Talk to you tomorrow...

~ So good to see each of you post today. I hope it was a good day for each of you. It's been busy here for us with my DS and his GF here until Thursday. It's going to be so hard to have them leave to head back to Nebraska..

I am grateful, however, for the wonderful time we are having together..

Marilyn.

~ The Wii does have some good options for exercise and dance. If you read Kimberly's post, I agree with her suggestions..

Lorie.

~ Glad you got your first day back at school out of the way with. I hope you enjoyed your evening and have a good day tomorrow. Blessings..

Kathy.

Kimberly.

~ I hope you had a good day. Glad to hear that work is a bit slow this week. What a nice way to ease back into things after the holidays. My girls got Just Dance 2 for the Wii for Christmas. It's a lot of fun and is a workout..

Dear Father,.

Thank You for your constant presence in our lives as we travel our weight loss journeys together. Father, thank You for all that You have done in my life this year. There are so many times during the past year when I would not have made it through the day without Your power and presence. Help me to apply the lessons of 2010 in this New Year so that I will grow and become more like You, leading others to seek and know You. I love You, Father, and praise You for all that You have in store for me in 2011. May my life be a trophy of Your grace, mercy and love.

Lord, please protect them and bring them home safely..

We'd like to place before your throne the following prayer requests:.

~ Dawn: DH has brain tumor. Please pray he will have complete healing..

~ Debbie: Debbie & her DD are having a battle of the wills right now & a battle that Debbie is determined to win with love. Prayers are coveted right now as things are not too pleasant between Mother & daughter right now..

~ Debbie: Friend had melanoma removed finding it has metastasized to the brain, bones & lymph nodes & the prognosis is about 4 - 6 months. Praying for Debbie's friend to come to know the Lord & for a complete healing according to God's Will..

~ H: Nephew, Jared, is kindergarten age, had a sonogram reveal that he has a couple little gall stones & one big gall stone. They are taking him to a specialist next. Please continue to pray for him as he just had his appendix out & may have to have his gall bladder out. Please pray for his healing so that he doesn't have to endure anymore, anytime soon..

~ June: DS, Robert, has strayed from the Lord & it's affecting his life so negatively. Praying for Robert's salvation & that the Holy Spirit provides June the wisdom to say the right words to help bring Robert to the foot of the cross..

~ Kimberly: DH was laid off from work & had an interview a few days ago. Please pray that if this is the job God wants DH to have, that everything go according to His plan..

~ Lynda: DH, Ross, has back pain caused by a slight fracture in a small bone which has allowed his vertebrae to slip & dislocate. Please pray for Ross's physical therapy to help w/this injury & for his complete healing & pain to ease..

~ MJ: PRAISE! MJ's DS, Rob, just accepted Jesus as his Lord & Savior. MJ has planted seeds & many prayers have been said for this day to come...all in God's perfect timing. Like MJ said, "Keep planting the seeds to those you know who are not saved, & Jesus will keep watering them until the day they bloom when that person sees that Jesus is all they need.".

~ MJ: Dave, a man MJ met while browsing in a store has stage 4 lung cancer. MJ planted the seeds of faith in God when speaking to this man & shared how faith has helped heal her friend, Carol, from many kinds of cancer. Please pray for Dave's salvation & healing as MJ assured him that he would be prayed for..

~ MJ: Friend, Carol Chisolm, for God's healing mercies on her cancer. Please pray for her complete healing & recovery..

~ MJ: Continued relief from the joint pain & stiffness caused by her RA. Thanking, trusting & believing that our Lord will continue to heal MJ, using her journey & testimony in living with RA to bring others to Christ..

~ MJ: Nephew, Jeff, has terminal lung cancer & has now been placed on the hospice list for when he needs it. Please pray for Jeff's complete healing & for His salvation. Also, that the Holy Spirit will continue to fill MJ w/the words she needs each time she writes to Jeff to renew his belief in his Lord & Savior..

~ Rainy: Friend, Tracy, has breast cancer. Praying for Tracy's complete healing & for the Holy Spirit to provide she & her family w/comfort & peace during this difficult time..

~ Sabina: DH, Ray is continuing to recover from surgery & Ray's doctor feels Ray's body is free of cancer. PTL! Please continue to pray for Ray's complete & continued healing..

~ Seanne: Friend, Angel, has cancer. Please pray for Angel's complete healing..

~Tina Marie: She was diagnosed w/breast cancer & has been diagnosed w/brain mets. Tina Marie hasn't posted in quite awhile now. Please pray that Tina Marie is receiving the best possible treatment & for her complete healing. May she feel God's loving arms wrapped around her during this difficult time & be filled w/comfort & peace from the Holy Spirit..

As we pray for our sisters and brothers, Lord, we place our complete trust in You, Lord, and ask for their healing according to Your Will. We ask this in Jesus' Precious Name, Amen..

As we close this evening, let us join together and pray the prayer we all know:.

Hi Kimberly, I lost 40 pounds using a protein shake for two meals and then a healthy dinner, it was a few years ago it was very motivating, I didnt learn portion control tho but I applaud that your using it as a tool to get into the zone so to speak. Someday I might use that as well to move things along a bit, for now I need to learn what is the right thing to eat and when to eat it, let us know how you do..

Lisa thanks for the Kudos and thanks again for that devotional..

Marilyn,.

I love my Wii! I agree with Kimberly that most of Wii Fit isn't that great for a real workout. I do like the Rhythm Boxing portion and the Free Step portion for some cardio. You have to "unlock" the activities - they may come already unlocked on the Wii Fit Plus. But the Free Step you can turn on and do some stepping (the wii remote makes little sounds to give you a rhythm) and then turn the channel to something you'd rather watch. So the remote keeps the pace but you can still watch tv instead of the wii..

I also love Walk It Out. There's a huge thread about WIO on this forum. You can walk and unlock different aspects of an island like buildings or trees or new pathways. The more steps, the more you unlock! You can walk by tucking the nunchuck into a pocket (or your sock if you have one that is wireless), or on a balance board, or on a Dance Dance Revolution Mat. For me the DDR mat works best. The nunchuck is too choppy and the balance board keeps telling me I'm off center and messing up my rhythm (it pauses the game to tell me - grrrr.).

I've heard really great things about EA Sports. People who want a "real" workout tend to like that one the best. For me - I'm at a place right now where walking and doing boxing activities are a real workout..

Good Morning! Well, Almost afternoon for me!.

I had anNutrisystemBlueberry Muffin this morning and a hard boiled egg but didn't have any fruit in the house so missed my fruit. For lunch, I had the cheesy homestyle potatoes, a salad, some carrots and 2/3 cup of low fat cottage cheese. So far...I'm on track except for missing the fruit!.

I went to the store today and bought some canned fruit. We just can't get fresh fruits and veggies this time of year in Indiana. Blah..it all looks horrible and I refuse to buy it! Occasionally, we'll find some really good items at Meijers..

Hope you all are sticking to yourNutrisystemplans! Have a wonderful day!..

Hi all, I just placed my 1st order. I tried this program before for 2 months and lost weight but have regained due to chronic illness (medication, lack of physical activity). I am 54 and semi-retired. I also watch my 2 grandkids throughout the week. 4 year old 3 days a week and 3 year old brother 1 day a week. Also work 2 days a week outside of the home..

I need to lose 75 pounds and sure hope to do it. I seem to get super hungry after dinner and need to find a way to curb this. Any suggestions?.

Thanks.

Lucy..

Well I did my zumba class yesterday it was fun, it is however going to take me some time to learn the steps.

But I think it is something I can stick with and it works with my knees or I should say I am able to work it with my knees, my next class is tomorrow I go 3 times a week so hopefully it will help me along to make goal..

This morning I took DD to the orthodontist and guess what I have 2 months and we will be starting phase 2 in the rail road department.

, she has 5 baby teeth with no roots so they are just about out and permanent teeth in, so we are looking at some major battles ahead of us in the brushing department, she hates brushing with the braces on.

..

Well as I am sitting here and writing this we have bit beautiful snowflakes coming down and they are sticking to our deck, so maybe we will get some snow on the ground yet for the kid's to play in.

..

I am off see you all later.

I will check on the website for Wii reviews and descriptions. I need a no-impact stretching and slow movement kind of workout..

I have Sweatin to the Oldies which is now too much for me. I also have a workout video that has too many floor exercises also not for me. My recuperation has brought me to where I can handle daily life, but I can only handle a minimal exercise session much like the Sit-and-be-Fit or Silver Sneakers kind of workouts for now. With my breathing issues, I cannot lie on my back or do any cardio/aerobics at all. Walking with the Leslie Sansone video was too much for me at first. I can complete only part of the one-mile walking DVD..

I want to thank all of you for your help. I think the Wii fit would be all I could handle for now. A 4-week bellydancing course wore me out this fall...

Seanne, what about frozen fruit? You can a huge bag at Sam's or Costco - berries, tropical fruit, etc. You can thaw them and eat them or mix them with yogurt for a smoothie. MMM. I'm making myself hungry.

How about Pilates? It's not as much cardio as some of the fitness workouts but a little bit better (in my opinion) than Yoga...

Hi everyone, I've been absent for awhile, school and everything took up a lot of time. I failed a bit for the last six months, and started to gain some of the weight back, but here I am, new year, no school, and looking for a job. I am ready to kick this last thirty lbs butt!.

To all my ladies, Ive missed you! and I cant wait to meet the new ones here!..

Hi my sisters and bros when they happen in,.

Well I made it to the gym where I met an old friend and we had lunch (yes I know food at a gymn) it's a healthy cafe and I had a piece of her baked veggie pizza. Then it was off to the pool, I was surprised that swimming didnt feel exhausting, I treaded water swam and did the backstroke slowly for about 45 minutes, Burned 600 and some off calories!!, Now I have to just keep going.....

Hi Seanne I see you have had a beautiful start on the plan, it takes time to make sure you have all sorts of extra things in the house that you need, but you will get it..

I have had ups and downs but mostly ups, the support here is very good these are faithful women who love each other, and it helps a lot.

Hi Lucy, heres how it works for me. If you eat the food, all of it in little snacks all day including after dinner, your cravings will diminish. A friend asked me how I likedNutrisystemfoods and was I hungry at all. I tiold her I an never hungry when I am completely on plan,.

I wish you a great start and a joyful week.

Jette, glad you got to class, and that this looks like it will work for you, I did stepping in the pool today with a plastic weighted step, I have done stepping in class and I just cant do it at all, but in the water I did 20 reps each foot and then on the sides you go girl and keep at the classes.

Kimberly, I wish you a great low impact workout with wii, I cant even do that so far, just movement in a pool works for me. But I moved a lot today so I am happy, great idea on the frozen fruit also..

Hi Becky welcome back, I look forward to getting to know you, I took off a couple weeks during the holidays so I am back to 100%Nutrisystemtoo.

Thats all for now, will check back in later..

Love,.

Hi Everyone -.

Sorry I said hello and "disappeared". I thought we got notification in our email when there were replies, and I didn't realize I had missed so much!.

I just startedNutrisystemyesterday, and so far so good. All the water and all the veggies are a lot for me to get in, but I am working on it! I am a 39 year old single mom of a 4 year old (as of today! Happy Birthday to him.

) I live in NJ, I stay at home and I do online tutoring and have a small baking business. I am active in my church, I am the head of Women's Ministries, I am a youth leader and I am on the steering team for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). I enjoy reading and crafts although there isn't much time for it lately!.

I am hoping - no I am GOING - to lose 119 lbs and become the healthy, active mom that my son deserves..

I need to straighten up around here and get to bed. Promise I'll be back tomorrow!!.

You're so thoughtful, Lisa! Yes, I've been fine. My Dad's facial surgery went well today. He had a skin cancer removed but it was the "good" kind, thank God, so that was a relief this afternoon when that was over. (It was so large he had to go to the hospital to have it taken out). Wear your sunscreen, everyone! Esp. if you are blond and blue-eyed like my Dad.

Goodnight to you, friend, and God bless!..

Good Morning everyone......had another little "melt-down" last night over this house issue. These houses we look at are so horrible inside...I just don't understand it. How can our house go for so little when it's move in ready and spotless and these other houses be listed for so much and they haven't been touched since the 70's? I'm so discouraged. My right knee is swelled up like a football....so between the boot on my left foot and my right knee...I just can't win. I have been icing it up and staying off of it as much as possible. Going to take some Ibruprofen...ugg..

I stayed 100%Nutrisystemyesterday.....this moring my scales said I dropped 3 pounds over night.....is that possible? I'm not even going to believe it until I weigh in next week..

Had aNutrisystembreakfast burrito, mandarin oranges and a piece of canadian bacon this morning. Staying 100%Nutrisystemtoday too. Hope you all have a wonderful day...

Good morning CSG. I'm working from home today so thought I'd use my normal commute time to get on and see how everyone is doing..

Seanne, that knee doesn't sound good. What did you do to it? I can sympathize about the boot. I'm back in one now and it is quite the pain. Especially that it's on my right foot so I have to take it off to drive. Ugh. I go to the dr on Jan 20th and praying for a diagnosis that will get this thing healed.

Lisa, I expect you'll have a lot of visitors from the North this winter. I'm sure you enjoy it but playing host can be tiring. Don't get sick with all the running around you are doing..

Pat, Praise God that your Dad's surgery went well..

Hi to everyone else (I know I'll miss someone so I don't want to name everyone individually). I'll check back in tonight. Time to get to work now...

Well I weighed myself this morning to see how much damage was done over the holidays and I got OL for a weight. That means overload on a scale that only goes up to 300. SO as you can imagine I am serious as serious can be about sticking to my new eating plan. Got my BBB yesterday just in time for my awakening!.

Good to see you all here.......

I remember 30 years ago when we were looking at houses one of the realtors would show us crummy houses (some with dog poop in the living room carpet) to get us to go up in price on our spending. The tactic did not work because we were on a budget and couldn't change it. But as soon as he showed us houses 5 thousand more they were immaculate. We switched realtors...

Hi NSers!.

I lost another 1.2 pounds as of this morning so now I am ready to give up my two extra carb and one extra fruit servings that you get when you have 100 pounds to lose. So now I am under 100 goal marker for the first time in a long time, Glory to God..

Hi Lisa, thank you so much for you encouragement and your wise choice of devotionals, Its such a gift you have and I so appreciate it..

Welcome M!! I am Kathy and am also from New Jersey and I also have a lot to lose. I hope to get to know you as in the coming weeks, I will be praying for you as you begin this wonderful journey with us..

Hello Pat. I just noticed you made goal already. You go Girl!! Its so good to see honest to goodness proof that this system works, and that coupled with God before us, who can be against us. We are sure to fight the good fight..

Seanne I am so sorry you are in so much pain, and also sorry to hear that houses are selling as is for so much more. I will pray that you find what you need and want and that it will be more than you could ask or think, healing for your pain as well, Hugs,.

BTW I think it's very possible that you lost 3 pounds, I figure when my scale stays the same my body is just saving up what it's lost and the scale will eventually tell me the truth..

Hi Kimberly, now you have me hoping I dont miss anyone LOL, Its great that you can work from home, kudos for you..

Hi Christine, I hear you about the scales, but just think, you have already lost 46 pounds, and it looks like you know the ropes, and the holidays are over thank the Lord in the sense that there are no more trigger foods everywhere we go. I will be praying for you as you get back in the groove..

Hi Lynda Good to see you! I think we are all getting back in into the saddle this week, except for those who are incredible able to maintain during times of stress, celebrations etc. I am praying for you, and know you can do this, you are a great example to all of us..

Hi Carol, congrats on your 100% days!!! There are some user tools at the top of this page that you can look at but I havent been here long enough to know exactly how they work. You can also look under the community tab on your home page and click my page, you can edit some things there too..

Hi Everyone!.

I am sorry about signing with the "M". I do it out of habit lol, it's how I sign most emails. My name is Michelle.

Today is day 3 for me and so far so good. My only issue is that I have had a migraine for 2 days now. I don't know if it is from the diet, from TOM, or a combination of the 2..

I have been making cupcakes today, which is just temptation after temptation! My son's birthday was yesterday and I have to make 2 dozen for his Kids Klub tonight at church, and another 2 dozen for his preschool tomorrow morning. At least I am doing this in the very beginning of my journey so my will is strong.

I just have to survive his 2 parties on Saturday and I will be home free!.

The next challenge is Youth Group tonight and the multitude of snacks that will be all around me!.

LISA.

- Thanks for the welcome! I am looking forward to getting to know everyone too.

SEANNE.

- I'm sorry that you are in so much pain. I have some bad foot pain if I am on my feet a lot or if I exercise, but it is not constant. I pray for comfort for you. Good friends of mine have been trying to sell their house since July, and it is a nice house. I will never understand the market. Then I have 2 friends that sold their house in less than a week.

KIMBERLY.

- Nice to meet you! How nice that you get to work from home sometimes!.

CHRISTINE.

- I know you can do this!!.

LYNDA.

- What an inspiration! Those 8 lbs will fly off!.

CAROL.

- Looks like we started the same day! Let's do this!!.

KATHY.

- Where in NJ are you? Keep up the good work!!.

I better get back to cleaning and baking while the little man is napping! TTYS.

Hello all, I was all gungho yesterday, but since the currency in my house is now guacamole, beer, and brownie cupcakes, yesterday was a little difficult as it was time to pay up. I got out of the habit of eating well, and WILL DO BETTER! One of the new challenges is that I am done with school, and broke. I have like three months stored up, and thats where I end. I can't afford to eat this anymore, as much as I like it. The veggies and fruit are quite expensive too. It will be a challenge, but I trust God will help me get a job very soon..

So, let me introduce myself to all of you who I don't know. I am a recent grad (two weeks ago!) of Columbia College Chicago, with a major in scenic design and scenic art. I used to dance, and miss it a lot, and now that my room mate doesnt have a steady job either, I feel wierd doing my dance dvds. So now I swim. I am going to try and make it to the pool everyday. I started today, and it felt great..

Well, there it is. God bless you all. Oh yeah, does anyone have a job to offer me? lol...

Good evening, everyone! This will be quick as I am at work (so much for not spending all my time at work!) and I feel guilty logging in even though the kids are long gone..

I just want to report that I am behind in eating myNutrisystemfood for the day - typical when I work late due to tutoring. I am 100%+ on water and haven't exercised yet. (I need to update my tickers one of these days. I always forget.).

Needless to say, I need to head home and get my food eaten before it gets much later. On days like this, a large salad gets counted as all my veggies and I eat applesauce as my fruits..

Quick and easy!.

Well, must run for now. Lord willing, I will be back tomorrow. Blessings!.

Good Morning!.

I only have a minute to post because I have to leave to take my YDS and his GF to the airport in just a short while. We have a thunderstorm moving through this morning also, which is nice, however, I hope the weather clears by their flight departure time..

Through the blood of Jesus, each of us receive continual blessings and grace through our faith in Him. May we each surrender our lives to our Lord, be prayerful and repentant, knowing how blessed we are to be saved through our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ! Enjoy the devotion and have a Blessed day!.

Continual Blessing.

By Jacqueline Overpeck.

Can you imagine what it would be like to experience continual blessing? Picture it blessing without interruption or end, blessing that perpetuates until every area of your life flourishes with strength and well being..

Gods blessing moves from heaven to you through sanctification. Sanctification is freedom from the penalty of sin and it is found in the tabernacle. In Exodus, God spoke with Israel about the tabernacle. God instructed his people that the tabernacle was to be filled with the incense of burned lamb..

The Lord said, Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs of the first year, day by day continually.. This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet you to speak with you (Exodus 29:38, 42, NKJV)..

Through Jesus death on the cross, he became the sacrificial lamb for you and me (see Hebrews 9:11-14). Jesus spilled blood remains before God the Father as a constant reminder that you have been redeemed. Your life has been sanctified and set apart for continual blessing because of the Lamb..

Are you looking for an answer today? Is there a problem you cant solve on your own?.

You can receive a fresh visitation of the Lord by coming to the tabernacle of communion where Jesus blood was poured out. Its the fellowship of prayera place of sanctification where God has promised to meet and speak with you (Exodus 29:42)..

God will provide answers to your urgent needs and solve your most difficult problems as you enter into the holy place through the blood of the Lamb and continually wait upon Him there. Scripture reveals that continual blessing (or multiplied blessing) is found in continual surrender:.

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God (Deut 28:2, KJV)..

Gods body of believers must stop listening to negative voices of this world. This is the day for you as a Christian to turn your ear towards heaven. Look up and listen. God has given you a victorious spirit, not a spirit of dread. The blood of Jesus is not diluted or watered down. It is thick with suffering.

You have been saved by His blood and no last day demon can add regret or sorrow to you. Emotional distress and spiritual decay are not Gods will for you. God intends for you to flourish in blessing in spite of famine..

Romans 16:20 proclaims, The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet (TLB). Through the fellowship of continual prayercontinual blessing is received..

Precious Lord Jesus, you gave it all for me. I surrender once again to your great love. I receive you into my heart. I will never tire of calling upon your name. Fill me again. Every moment I will daily and continually yield to your hand.

Circumstances prove your coming is near. Your light pierces through the darkness. Hide my life in you. Wash me with your blood. Cleanse my life and forgive all my sins.

Call me up as your beloved, your bride. All that is within me yearns for you. Thank you for blessing my life with the continual outpouring of your Holy Spirit. Nothing this world offers compares to one moment with you. I worship you, my Lord.

Amen...

Good morning, Lisa! You can never be too careful with the sun... my husband's mother was Jewish, with dark brown hair and eyes, and olive skin as well... I never met her because she died at age 55, the year before I met Jim, of skin and other cancers. Having dark brown hair and eyes doesn't exempt anyone! Especially if you are living in Florida. In the summer I slather on SPF 50 the first thing in the morning, under my makeup, and if I lived where you do, I'd do it year-round..

I also had a childhood friend that I lost this past August from melanoma. She had dark brown hair and green eyes... you just can't be too careful. I didn't write about it because I was actually too upset at the time. It happened fast. Well, enough of a rant for today. Blessings to you my friend and all my other friends in the CSG!..

Thanks, Kathy! It wasn't as great an accomplishment as others who have lost more but losing even twenty pounds in this society isn't easy!Nutrisystemis great and most importantly it gives you nutritional guidelines that you can use forever. Blessings to you!..

Thanks so much, Kimberly yes, it's always a relief when that happens. He's had three other skin cancers that turned out benign as well. Very lucky for him as he never wore sunscreen at all! Blessings to you, and I continue to pray for your husband's situation. Take care..

Thanks Lynda! And a big Happy birthday for you tomorrow whoohooo! Have a great day..

Michelle congrats on the success you have had so far.

Ack I am praying a double portion of willpower for you, My husband mentioned that he wanted to make brownies last night, I gave him a look, he said well maybe not. Later I offered him one of myNutrisystemchocolate chocolae chip puddings he said well since I didnt get my brownies... hes not kidding anyone he loves the pudding LOL..

Michelle I am from the Princeton area what part are you from? How exciting if we live close to one another..

Becky congrads on your Graduation whoohoo , what an achievement! You might want to look at the foods they list inNutrisystemuntil you find money to afford the BBB again Some one posted the amounts of veggies and fruit protein etc in one of the forums, I will try and find mine for you later today. It goes along with the flex plan where you cook your own meals on weekends. Youre a design major, wonderful, I am a freelance artist!.

Lisa thank you for the kudos, I am increasingly able to turn down the wrong foods now but it's always at the back of my mind that I could mess up at any time, it keeps me honest and prayerful though...

Hi Lorie thats a good idea on the fruit, as applesauce, I almost always count two cups of salad as my veggies, I also drink v-8 juice since I love it. Your doing great GF!.

Wow Lisa you blessed me even before you wrote out the devotional. I have been making prayer beads, it's just a simple ribbon with different shaped beads on it to represent things and people I want to remember in prayer, I am very forgetful so it helps me focus and also give praise to the Lord for his goodness in my life. Well I needed a prayer for the Blood of Jesus and there it is in your pre-devotional, thanks so much for listening to the Lord my Dear sister..

Hi Pat my MIL died of cancer the summer I met my husband to be, Tom wouldnt let me visit her in the hospital because he said that wasnt the women he knew and I wouldnt want that image of her in my memory. I am so sorry about your childhood friend, that has to be so painful, I thank the Lord you had the chance to know her and love her, I can tell she was a gift to you,.

Hey even the loss of one pound is hard work, I applaud you!.

Good morning Jette how nice of you to bring lunch and have a mommy and me photo shoot. Such lovely memories you are making..

Sorry I wrote a book again,.

Blessings to each of you, yes you are all on my prayer bead necklace!.

Love,.

Good morning CSG. Cold here again today. Today is housecleaning day so that will be most of my exercise. Thought I'd just pop in here quickly before getting started..

Lisa - I'm still waiting to hear from DD about the neurologist appointment. I'll keep you updated. Thanks for asking...

Hi friends. I'm sitting in a boring training class and fortunately (or unfortunately for the instructors) there is wireless so I thought I'd catch up with you..

Michelle, you should consider taking yourNutrisystemdessert with you to youth group. Then you will feel like you are participating in the snacks while eating something on plan..

Lorie, you could also consider a can of V-8 Fusion Light. One can counts as two fruit. The blueberry pomegranate is my favorite..

Becky, congrats on graduation. I will be praying that you find the right job quickly and that until then God provides for all your needs..

Lisa, did you make it through the good-byes? I know how hard it is to be so far away from family and I can't even imagine when it's your child..

Jette, have fun with DD today. Sounds like a great day..

Hi to everyone else. Hope you are having a great day..

Okay, better pay attention. TTYL...

Good afternoon.

Everyone.

Am trying to get back in the habit of posting every day. I had a 100%Nutrisystemday yesterday and today (so far). I am no longer crying over the spilled milk of re gaining 20 lbs...just focusing on getting it off again so I can make some new progress. The differentNutrisystemmade for me is that even when I am not 100% on plan I am not 100 % off either which means I have made a few permanent changes THANK GOD..

Hope you are all having good days on your plans......

BTW my 59 yr old husband does not have a weight problem...he eats what he wants when he wants it...junk food is his weakness....so yesterday I told him (nicely) if he dares bring in one treat, one bag of any kind of chip (my downfall), full fat ice cream or anything not on my plan he should expect to see the item in the driveway in a puddle as soon as I find it. He said I guess that means you are serious. LOL! YA I AM SERIOUS!..

Good for you Christine! Your DH can keep that stuff hidden in his car. No need for it to be in the house. Sooooo proud of you!..

Good Morning!.

I hope everyone's Friday morning is starting off well. May we overcome the enemy's trap so that we do not suffer with pain and distress and become vulnerable to the enemy's prowling ways. May we live a life seeking the heart and face of God, repent of any sins we may be harboring so that we are cleansed through our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior and remember that God, with His loving arms wide open, is constantly present and by your side no matter what you are working to overcome. Enjoy the devotion and have a Blessed day!.

Overcoming.

By Margaret D. Mitchell.

"To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne,.

Just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on His throne." ~ Rev. 3:21.

Jesus invites us to overcome everything with which the enemy tries to defeat us. He is the ultimate overcomer, our finest example. Through Him, nothing is impossible..

When Jesus overcame the enemy's death trap through The Father's resurrection plan, He was promoted beyond what we can measure. He transcended into the Father's throne room, despite the enemy's devices to stop Him, to render Him powerless..

Likewise, when we choose obedience over sin, we by-pass deadly consequences (Rom. 6:23), pass the test and come closer to the Father. We receive a divine reward that no man can match and no enemy can destroy..

Too often, the enemy has caused us pain and distress, effectively limiting us from moving efficiently in the Lord's plan. Some form of iniquitywhether committed by us or generations before usis often at the root. Left unrepented, the consequences of these sins operate in our lives long-term, and they can do so without our awareness..

I Peter 5:8 tells us that the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, waiting to devour us. Luke 10:19 tells us that Jesus has given us the power to overcome the enemy. Will we open the door and invite the enemy in through sin? Or will we be vigilant and obedient? If we fall, we must choose repentance quickly so the enemy cannot get a stronghold in our hearts and in our lives..

I John 5:4 tells us that everyone who accepts Jesus overcomes the world. The love of God strengthens us through the Holy Spirit in us, while Jesus intercedes for us in the throne room. Wherever there is temptation, therein lies the enemy. And the Lord always provides an escape. Question is: Do we love God enough to choose to flee? Or do we love the world's "pleasures" more? And if we choose the world's way, how long will we remain in the pit before repenting? Before overcoming?.

Where there is choice, there is freedom, love and consequence. Some consequences can last a lifetime, or even steal our lives. Must we learn lessons the painful and untimely way?.

When I think of overcoming, most often, supernatural healing comes to mind. Overcoming is often a journey of pursuing the heart and face of God (Jer. 29:11-14). This is especially true concerning long-term illnesses, including emotional injuries where, through counseling and deliverance, God strips off layers of bondage that has piled up over time. In my own journeys, I have often prayed, "Lord, please lead me to the sources and resources that can help me, and enable me to receive all that You have for me." God has always been faithful to answer this prayer, leading me to just the right person, tape, book, scripture, etc. that encourages and teaches me..

If you have seen patterns of bondage in your life, such as addictions, poverty, emotional injury, job loss, and so on, know there is a way out, and your loving Father has a plan to free you through His son, Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any secret sins and generational iniquities to you. Then break agreement with those issues, forgiving the forefathers all the way back to Adam. Ask Jesus to help you walk in His freedom, discipline and blessings. Exercise your faith, and know that you are loved and that His help is ever-present...

Morning Kimberly - my ankle and knee just do this about every 3 weeks or so. I usually roll my ankle..then I can't walk on it for a few days....after that my knee swells and I have to take it easy on it. I have no idea what is wrong with my ankles and knees and then dealing with that foot. I think I'm going to call our insurance and see about a 2nd opinion and maybe an orthopedic doctor..

Morning Christine! Well, my realtor is my cousin...plus, he's not even showing us the houses. We are searching the interent and finding them ourselves. We just call and tell him the addresses and if they are empty, he gets us in...if not...he comes out and takes us to see them. He hasn't been much help at all and we're about to tell him that we're switching realtors. He lives about 50 miles from us so it's hard to get him here but he didn't even show up for our closing. Got his days mixed up and missed the closing and with us being as emotional as we were....he made a lot of money for doing nothing..

Morning Michelle and welcome! I am in Indiana; We didn't think our house would sell but it did. And now I think we got scammed...our price is so low compared to those "bad" houses we are looking at that aren't even half the house we had...it just makes me sick. I think I am going to call an orthopedic doctor to see what they can do about my knees, ankles and of course my foot..

Welcome to all the newbies...and so everyone knows, my name is Seanne and it's pronounced: See-Anne Hope you all have a glorious day!.

PS...we got a little snow yesterday!..

Hello CSG..

Yes Lisa. My DH had his doctor appointment with the neurosurgeon. It was bad news. He wants to do a fusion surgery. My DH is sooooooo bummed. DH will exhaust EVERY conservative care option before he even thinks about surgery!.

Also, YDD called last night. She saw her neurologist who said she is having "thunderclap" migraines! He has ordered an MRI to make sure everything is ok inside that pretty little head of hers. Didn't like what I read about those type of migraines at all. Sure hope he is wrong..

Thanks for your prayers!..

Wow, Lynda, some tough news in the medical department for your dau. and hubby. Will continue to keep all of you in my prayers..

That was an especially great devotion, Lisa, and I'm going to print it out to add to my spiritual notebook....

I'm excited today because I'm going to be able to attend the March for Life rally in Washington D.C. on the 23rd. This will be my second protest march there the first one was for peace and it's always a time of spiritual renewal and rejuvenation for me..

Blessings to all of you!..

Linda, I am so sorry about the news for your DH and YDD. I pray that they will both get some encouraging news and/or alternative treatments!.

Thank you Lisa, I am seeing answers to prayer too. And my husband is becoming the sweetest thing I am glad God doesnt mind if we use tools sometimes to focus on Him. I researched the idea of prayer beads for a week before I came up with how I wanted to do this, Yesterday one of my friends said where am I on this bead prayer chain, I said whats your favorite color? She said Pink, I said ok you are the next pink bead I can find..

I Listened to 4 short online recordings from Beth Moore today while doing laundry, she is always a holy breath of fresh air..

Pat glad you will be able to go to the walk for life, I used to babysit for mothers with young children so the patents could go to Washington for the day, so I had some involvement in the cause..

Seanne I am from the Princeton area, what part of Jersey are you from?.

Well until I log the rest of my food blessings to all..

Love Kathy..

Lynda.

~ I'm sorry that Ross's neurosurgeon wants to do fusion surgery. Also, looked at thunderclap migraines. Keeping your YDD in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully the neurosurgeon will reconsider the diagnosis following the MRI. I'm assuming he'll do both an MRV and MRA to look at both the veins and arteries? I've had both with my benign intracranial hypertension. I just think it's good to be thorough and have everything looked at.

It took me awhile to rid my vocabulary of the word "fear" and replace it with "trust". Your YDD's name is Sharon, right? I'm keeping her in my prayers, as well as Ross. Please keep me updated..

Have a good weekend and Happy Birthday!..

Thanks Lisa. Yes, YDD is Sharon. The only test being scheduled right now is the MRI. One step at a time, I'm sure. I knew you, of all people, would understand. Trust - not fear.

Thanks friend...

Hi everyone! Trying to catch up and watch the Cotton Bowl - I keep going back and forth as I'm having a hard time multi-tasking tonight..

I have an NSV today (even though I'm not back onNutrisystemuntil tomorrow.

) I had a crazy busy day at work today and had a meeting that went from 11 to 3 and was held in a restaurant. Then we had a Junior Achievement bowl-a-thon. I was worried how I was going to stick to my diet with all that going on. But I was 100% successful!! And I didn't even feel like I was missing anything (even the yummy lemon cookies they make at that restaurant.).

I have been 100% on this diet for 5 days, so now I know I can do it. I am going to startNutrisystemtomorrow and pray that I can continue to be successful..

Oh, I forgot to update you on DH's situation. He still hasn't heard from the company where he interviewed. It's odd but he's not stressing about it as the recruiter said they haven't decided yet..

He spent the last 2 days talking to recruiters and his contacts to see what's out there and get his resume out there. There are a lot of jobs out there that aren't what he's looking for so at least we know that if we get desperate he can take a job just to bring in income (he's going to give himself until June 1 before he gets to that spot). The jobs that he is looking for aren't necessarily posted but having the recruiters working for him should help to find out about them..

Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated..

And have I told you lately how glad I am that I have you all in my life..

Hello friends. It's quiet here today - I hope that means you are all out enjoying yourselves. It was a beautiful day here in Colorado - 51 degrees - but we're expecting a snow storm tomorrow. You should have seen the grocery - it was like we'll be stuck inside for a week.

Tonight is another big test for me. Our small group is getting together for dinner and there's lots of food. I'm preparing the main course and it's something I don't like so that won't be an issue; it's all of the snacky foods. I did buy a veggie tray so my plan is to stick to carrots and then salad for dinner. And I just had a protein hot cocoa so I'm pretty full right now. I'm trying to think positively (I CAN do this!) Toimorrow is OWI and I don't want one night to mess it up..

Lynda, Happy Birthday a day early. I'll root for the Packers just for you (since the Giants are out of the playoffs.

).

Have a great night everyone...

Pray everyone is having a beautiful morning, here we are staying home DD is not feeling so hot today I think she over did it yesterday food wise when we went to Greektown for dinner after the movie yesterday, we saw Tron Legacy in 3D not bad, we had DD see the original before we went to see this one so she knew what the story is all about, you can definitely see how far they have come in the technology department in the last 20 years..

Lynda why are they not doing the MRA when they do the MRI it is only one extra scan while she is on the table I have had 2 done so far in the last 2 years as I have some headaches that just came on, never suffered from them before, they call mine tension headaches and I now take a little pill called Topamax and it helps me keep the headaches under control so now I just get a few break through ones here and there and I just take some thing for them and tell every one to buss off and leave me alone for a while even my DH who has come to learn the signs of one and so will your DD's DH if it turns out that she is going to be one of us who suffers from migraines I wish her the best and she will be in my prayers, you too as it wont be easy for you to know and see your DD suffer in any way or form...

Good SONday Morning CSG!.

I hope each of you is having a good morning. We are blessed with the gift of God's grace. Remember, that God's grace never gives us permission to sin even though we live under His grace and have been set free from the law of sin and death. Let's remember to be thankful for the free gift of God's grace "For it is by grace you have been saved" (Ephesians 2:8). Enjoy the devotion and have a Blessed day!.

Grace-Filled Holiness.

By Steve Troxel.

We often speak of God's Word as the absolute truth by which we are to live. We encourage one another to live without compromise and not to be pulled by the temptations of the world. But this type of discussion always implies a standard for Christian living; and, as much as we hate to admit it, a standard implies rules. Oh, how these words make some uncomfortable - some even angry!.

Much of the Christian teaching we receive today is focused on the free gift of God's grace; "For it is by grace you have been saved" (Ephesians 2:8), and this grace seems to be in conflict with the presence of rules. Since our sins have already been forgiven, and "there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1), how can we talk about rules or standards or expectations?.

It is absolutely clear in the Word of God that we are saved by grace and can do nothing to earn or improve upon our Salvation - we live and breathe under God's grace. However, it's also perfectly clear in His Word that there exists a standard of holiness for which we must strive. Sin is defined against a standard and the precious gift of God's grace never gives permission for sin!.

Romans 6:1-2.

"What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may abound? By no means!".

As children of God, we now have complete freedom; "the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:2). But the freedom we have been given is the freedom to claim victory over sin and live a pure and holy life; "But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do" (1 Peter 1:15). We will never attain perfect holiness, never live in perfect compliance with God's standard. And though we who belong to Jesus are no longer under condemnation, we are called to live free of sin..

So why do we strive? First, holiness is honoring to God because God hates sin. Sin kills those our Father loves - those He loves so much that He sent Jesus to die as a sacrifice for the penalty of sin. God hates sin and we ought to hate what God hates. And next, as we strive for holiness (while remembering that our striving plays no part in our Salvation) we will see even more clearly how far we fall from God's required perfection. As we strive, our sin will become even more apparent and we will see with ever increasing thankfulness how much grace and forgiveness we have been given through faith in Jesus..

Salvation is ALL grace!! We live under His grace and have been set free from the law of sin and death. So now, let's truly learn of His grace by seeking to follow in His steps and striving for a thankful heart through a life of grace-filled holiness...

~ I hope your DD feels better as the day goes on and that you all have a nice day. Sorry to hear you have headaches too. Glad the Topamax controls them. I take it, too, in addition to another med. Enjoy your day and chat with you soon!..
