I'm new, so please forgive me if this has been asked. I was wondering how many members on Nutrisystem deliberately stopped the program before reaching their goal? Do you feel like you bit off more than you could chew or set a goal of too much weight loss? Do pounds really matter as opposed to how you look and feel? I know I set a goal, but at the end of the day, how much I weigh has no factor. I do wanna shed enough to where I feel refreshed and I'm able to walk in any clothing store and pick anything and still manage to feel/look good. I don't even care about matching some BMI chart to be honest...

It's not about what the scale says - the scale is a great way to keep track, but doesn't have the final say on how you feel...

I've found the opposite to be true also. Some set a goal, then change it downward after they see success and reevaluate. My original goal was 140, but after reaching that so effortlessly I decided to go on to my "secret, unbelieving could ever be reached in this lifetime, ultimate goal" of 125.

Like the above posters stated, it depends on the individual and how they feel, what their doctor(s) advise, how they look, etc...

A lot of people stop because they set unrealistic goals. Set something reasonable, once you achieve it, then set a new one...

Pam has it. Start with a smaller goal, get there and then set a new one. It's a great wayto keep yourself mentally positive and staying on track. Good luck!..

I actually would love to lose 25-30 more pounds than my goal...but I'm hoping I'll be like Pam...and breeze past that number..

(If I don't though...I think I'll still be very, very happy with my goal weight, especially if I can maintain healthy eating habits and stay there!)..

I did something similar to what Pam said. I started with one goal, nearly reached that & lowered it, and now I'm nearly there again. I'm debating if I'll stay put there, lower the goal online, or just see if I go below goal. It all depends on how I look and, more importantly, feel once I hit 130...
