LOL, I read where others used that!.
Direct quote from Nutrition Support:.
Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am a Registered Dietitian with Nutrition Support..
Yes, 100% stevia counts as a Condiment Choice..
Due to FDA food label regulations and rounding allowances, products that contain <5 calories and <1 gram of carbohydrate can mark these as "0" on the food label. In order to ensure individuals remain in the fat-burning state, it is necessary to establish guidelines for the amounts of Optional Snacks and Condiments which can be added to the 5&1 without increasing the total carbohydrate intake above 100 grams..
Hope that helps!.
They are supposedly reworking the condiment list, L&G option lists, etc..
It would be nice if they included liquid stevia and liquid sweetners just to clarify the difference.
I only use a few drops a day (just in the oatmeal or in my tea) and I honestly doubt if that affects my calorie or carb count much at all so I don't bother to count it as a condiment. No way a few drops of Stevia is going to undermine my weight loss. My carbs stay at around 75 a day so I'm not at all worried. But I do track everything I eat/drink that's why I know the stevia is not a threat..
