Hello, folks. After about 5 months of Murad Acne Complex not really doing much and my skin still breaking out, I decided to try some of Paula's Choice BHA Gel based on LionQueen's post. It was kind of risky considering that Murad Acne Complex weakens your skin considerably, and using more products could exacerbate the irritation. I took the risk, though, and it has been worth it.In just about 4 days of using this stuff nightly, all of my inflamed cysts, surfaced or unsurfaced, have shrunk and disappeared. Red marks have peeled off, I'm not getting any more new cysts, and the texture of my skin is improving. It hasn't irritated my skin at all.

If you're irritated by Murad Acne Complex considerably, I wouldn't recommend this...

Your question was: Starting using Paula's Choice BHA Gel during Murad Acne Complex.

I'm bumping so a few more people may consider it. I especially recommend this if you have pustules that result from stubborn clogged pores (but only if your skin can handle it)...

I was wondering how the results have been with the BHA gel. Do you recommend it for those who have painful colorless bumps under the skin, that sometimes form to cysts?Im on 80mg Murad Acne Complex for 100 days so far..

I just want to point out that, although this is a pretty gentle salicylic acid product, it's still an active topical .... and 80mg of Murad Acne Complex daily is quite a high dose. Caution is strongly advised...

My order arrives Monday! Can't wait! I know that all my breakouts now are where my comedones are so hopefully this will rid me of my problem! Yippeee!..

I use 5 % benzoyl peroxide with clindamycin day and night.believe it or not, once it dries it keeps my skin from looking dry, it just looks smooth. If I dont apply it for a day, my skin gets really flaky.I dont think BHA will be problem.Plus I'm in med school, I'm surrounded by doctors all day !..
