Finally got my food last night after surfing these boards for a week and I'm excited to be starting. My highest adult weight was 263 and I have yo-yo'd up and down with my lowest weight being 196. I've put 10 lbs. on the last several months and want to get my eating under control before I've gained even more. My sister has been doing Medifast for a few weeks and has had very good results so I decided to bite the bullet..

I started my day with scrambled eggs with some mushrooms, will have a bar for a snack this morning, soup for lunch and another bar for afternoon snack. For dinner, I'm grilling some chicken breasts and roasting cauliflower. Yummy!.

I had an oatmeal raisin bar for my morning snack and thought it was kind of yucky. It had a very vitamin-y taste to it. Hopefully, my tastebuds will adapt. The chicken with rice soup that I had for lunch was good though!..

It is so weird how everyone is different. I HATE raisens, but tried it anyways (I am not going to throw any away) and I did not find it bad at all. I think there is a difference between the granola bars and the crispy bars. Not sure..

I just started this past Monday. Today is my day 4.

I find that 5-7 oz. of meat is plenty, almost too I have been putting 2 ounces of my meat in my soup along with 1 serving of veggie (I have been putting asparagus lately). I add these to my soup and it is quite filling. I still have 3-5 ounces of meat, depending on what I am using for dinner along with 2 servings of veggies. Plus I feel I am getting 2 L/G meals and not just 1!.

I have not been hungry all week. Kinda surprised me...but I am NOT complaining!!.

You can do it. Just follow the plan exactly as it is laid out and you will be amazed. Visit this forum often for hints and tips. People here have helped me out a lot!..

Good for you! Your sister has been doing great and you will too! (I saw Emily call you sissy in another post). I'm so glad you have joined us MF'ers and took the leap. You will adjust to most of the foods, but some, of course, you may never like. Just remember, anything you absolutely cannot stand you can swap for something else. Read the back of your packing slip for details..

Josie, I always soak the soup for 3 hours before I cook it. When I finish one meal, I go ahead and do the soup recipe, just as written. Cover it and leave on counter. When I'm hungry and ready for the next meal, there it is. And the Medifast wheat crackers are awesome with it.

Finished my first day but only got 4 of the 5 Medifast meals in. I just couldn't eat another thing that tasted like vitamins so I ate extra veggies trying to make up for it. This won't become a habit though. Medifast needs to be done the correct way. Today is a new day and I will get through this whole "taste" thing..

I'm a daily weigher and the scale this morning was very encouraging. Be it water weight or whatever, I don't care. Pounds are still pounds..
