My first question is Should I need any security steps (Like Verisign SSL certificate or else) if I use paypal? Thanks for any comment. My 2nd question... Right - I have my admin back but I have lost a lot of files & I no longer have file manager or images etc. They are all plagued with errors. My payment, shipping & all sorts of modules have disappeared. I know exactly the problem but I can't find a fix.

That nas32ent needs to be IIS6119. The rest point to the right server, the IPaddress of the server is correct, it's just that line that's causing all the problems..

Now, I can change it, I can do what I like to it but I can't overwrite the file currently in htdocs/includes (where it needs to be). I can't change permissions, I can't do a thing. I can't delete it. I can rename & upload a correct file, but everything still tried to look at this original file. I completely messed up while this file is incorrect. My ISP can not change or delete it either, they get the same errors...

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an good answer. You should email the people at Verisign as they probably could give you an answer..

The ISP had to get an engineer to reset my FTP permissions so I have full control & I should be able to set them now myself. This one file can not be changed at all & I'm stuck. I use IPswitch Pro as my FTP program & never had a problem..

When you initially install OSCommerce, you have to tell it your server name, user & password etc... this is saved into the htdocs/includes/configure.php file. This is the one I can't change. It's currently looking at the old server but I need it to point to the new one. My problem is, I can't do anything with this file, can't delete it, overwite it or anything. I renamed it to b*ll*cks.php, uploaded the correct configure.php & everything is still being guided by the old b*ll*cks.php. So even renaming it made no difference...

Try putting your config files in.

Admin/includes/local.

And.

/includes/local.

Done - no difference at all, still the same :-(..

I would go back into my isp's control panel and try from there..

Every time I have asked if you have done this you say an engineer has done it..

Do it yourself and then delete the file or get your isp to delete the file..

The error message you get should change. If it doesn't that is another problem..

Apologies - I did set up a new user in the ISP control panel & gave full permission rights. Using 2 different FTP programs, I can't connect as this new user. As I mentioned previously, the ISP have tried to delete the file too from the server but they get the same errors, they can't do it either..

Once again you point to the isp not being able to do it..

The point I am try to get over is for you to try to do it, do not use an ftp program but do it through the isp's control panel..

You can set access rights from there and delete files..

If you get in there and you still can't do it, then back everything up, data, images and code and get your isp to give you another account...

Thanks again but I have tried it myself, I set up a new user & gave full permission rights but this did not change a thing. I keep trying to point out that I can not do it & neither can the ISP. Backing Up was another issue - I wasn't able to do that either. Instead, I have downloaded the entire htdocs folder to my desktop, got the ISP to completely erase my Verisign website files so I can have a clean slate & I've re-uploaded it all but made necessary changes to this configure.php file first..

It's all working except I can now no longer see my sql database, this is something my ISP will need to adjust for me. Apart from that - starting from clean slate has ALMOST worked. I still have no payment or shipping modules though which is a separate issue now. This post can be brought to an end as that configure.php problem is now resolved. Thanks for all your help but unfortunately it had to be drastic measures in the end :-(..

Have you done this yourself?.

Or did you rely on your ISP?..
