Got a question... Sending mail results in Error with Verisign SSL? Many thanks for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... I have set up my shipping rates using the table rate method (weight) and I must say it works very well. I also have managed to make it so it gives free shipping over 100..

I now have some new products that I need to set a specific shipping rate of 15 delivery. My problem is that these products are over 100 so it will automatically give the customer free shipping..

Is there anyway I can set just one product up to use a specific shipping cost without it effecting all my other products?.

Anyhelp will be great!..

Why on earth didn't I think of that?.

DUH!!!!..

Hmmm. I've built it into the price but now because the order total doesn't reach 100 it doesn't give free delivery? It charges delivery aswell!!!!..

Ok so if the item is 50 and you want 15 for shipping it and your shipping is set to say 7.50 just have the tiem price at 57.50 then when the shipping is added you will get the 65 you wanted..

Well if I did that then once the customer has it in the cart then it will take the customer to the shipping page and add another 7.50 to the price. This doesn't look very good..

On my items that go over 100 with shipping I have simply put the price up and added a FREE SHIPPING tag to the item..

On the cheaper item it wont work...

49.99.

And I need 15 to ship it..

Adding the 15 to the table rate just wont work because of all my other items (over 3000 items) that I have now set up. I simply dont have time to change my item weights individually...

You posted this below and now your saying it's 49.99.

My problem is that these products are over 100 so it will automatically give the customer free shipping..

Yeah but this doesn't reach over 100 but I need it to give free shipping still because I've built the shipping into the price...

But if your shipping is set at 7.50 why cant you just charge 57.50 then with the shipping added you will get the right price why does it have to say free shipping with it..

Cos it just looks better when the customer buys it...

Ohwell I would look around the forums then to see what there is..

Thanks that would be a MASSIVE help!!! Can you tell I'm new to this!!..

You are not being very clear with what you want..

So, start again, and be 100% clear about what you need. Because as of right now, you might as well be speaking double dutch...

Ok yeah sorry. I like the pun on my nickname burt!!.

Ok this is what I need:.

Currently I have a shop with over 3000 products working on a table rate shipping method by weight. It works perfectly. If an order total comes to over 100 I give free delivery..

I now have some new products which are quite bulky and cost alot for me to ship (15). Even though some are over 100 in value I state they are exempt from the free shipping. I'd prefer not to just build the shipping into the price of the item because on search comparison engines my products look expensive at aglance. I simply cant have this..

What I need is a facility to just put an individual shipping price (15) on these few items without it interfering with my table rate code and also so it bypasses the free delivery..

I hope that is more clear!!!.

Thanks..

That's very clear..

OK - so all you have to do is turn off the free_shipping bit IF the contents of the cart contain 1 (or more) of said products. That would work, wouldn't it?..

Possibly but how do set the shipping to 15? In the table rate?..
