I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..
I've been bike riding about 100 miles a week and my legs are getting bigger. The scale didn't move but my belt just dropped a notch! When I started, I could barely use the first notch on my belt. Now I'm at the fourth notch in...
I recall reading somewhere that when you workout you can experience no weight loss for a time because while you are losing the fat pounds you are gaining muscle weight so for a period the two can equal out - Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll get to your goals!..
Today I am down to 217.4, so the weight loss is happening...
There are a couple factors that can cause the weight not to move, or in some cases even seem to move up. Remember, never go strictly by the number on the Scale..
One of the factors that can result in no number change on the scale to an increased change is that Muscle weighs MORE than fat. So if you are doing a workout routine that is building muscle or even toning it drastically then you may not see any drop in weight or a slight increase as that muscle gain is replacing what you may be losing in fat..
The other factor that can result in this is that when you are starting a workout routine, you are actually injuring the muscle a bit. When this happens the body will retain some extra fluids and send it to the muscle to help repair. This can lead to an increase in weight by 2 to 5 lbs...I've experienced this where the numbers showed up to 5 lbs increase, and then once back into a steady routine it will drastically drop off..
Just don't lose hope, keep at it..
That's right...keep at it. Even after you meet your goal...keep it at, even when you gain a couple pounds...keep at it. This isn't a story with an ending. We all have to eat and should be active until the day we die. So ya might as well do it right...
Yep, I agree as I've experience it several time while in High School. I used to be a big weight lifter buff, then I dropped the workout and kept the eating..
Today weigh in rewarded me with a 2 lbs lost so I'm getting back to the healing stage. I am doing a high cardio / muscle buildup routine. So I'm in the gym 3 times a week, each day I'm doing an hour of weight lifting with a 30 mins of cardio. Today I did Upper body workout. Tuesday I'll be doing lower workout and Thursday I'll be doing abs and back workout..
In between the gym days I spend 40 mins on the elliptical at home..
As time goes on I will be increasing numbers of days but right now I'm trying to get the muscle used to working out again and get back to where I was in High School..
Oh and I've been off nutri-system since December, but I still have some left so I put some of the meals to use on days I don't feel like cooking. But I still follow the plan on eating veg. fruit, protein, milk and carbohydrate. I just create my own meals using health alternatives and look at the board for ideas to make a healthy meal when I get in a funk. Along with I have only eaten 1 small cheeseburger from five guys burger and fries , but the rest has been home cooked meals and prepared meals that I've cooked. Along with no cokes since Dec. 28th!!! Almost at my one month date of no cokes!!..
