I have read everything I could, but I just haven't been able to wrap my brain around one thing re: NS. If someone could please explain it to me, I would be most appreciative..

If I wanted to have, say, turkey breast, veggies, barley, and some cheese for dinner. I understand how to count all but the turkey. How much turkey (deli turkey breast) should I have? I just don't understand about the "3 proteins" thing for dinner, when 3 ozs of turkey is about 100 calories, and I know that can't mean that I could have 9 ozs of turkey!.

Thanks...especially for your patience!!..

Your question was: Question about protein servings on Nutrisystem?.

Katie - the rule of 100 calories or less, 3g of fat or less and a minimum of 7g of protein applies when you have the option for a dairy/protein one of your add-ins..

When subbing for meal, the guidelines for a lean protein, are up to 55 cals, 3g of fat or less and a minimum of 7g of protein. So basically you should be at approx 160 cals and 21g of protein...

What are you counting the cheese as? Did you save a dairy/protein from earlier in the day or will that count towards one of your 3 protein servings?.

Also, with the flex meal you get 2 fat servings one that is normally in the Nutrisystem entree plus your normal fat serving...

You have to differentiate between a dairy/protein @ 100 cals, 3 gr fat, 7 gr protein and a protein @ 55 cals, 3 gr fat, 7 gr protein.

Our basic adding is a dairy/protein, and I believe an entree substitution is a protein.

So for flexing dinner you should follow the protein servings.

I am in a hotel right now typing on my Iphone and don't have all my info in the room so someone will help clarify..

Yes, that makes it easier. I was trying to figure my dinner entree with "1 fat + 1 carb + 3 proteins." Thanks, Michelle!.

Losingw8now, that helps thanks! I made a mistake in putting the cheese in there, as I was confusing dinner with the dairy/protein at lunch..
