Do most of you eat the tuna salad with bread of some kind? This ups my daily calories to 1450 instead of 1350. Do you just have it infrequently this way? It is delicious, but it doesn't seem right to eat it very often and have those extra calories...

I read the box! The bread with the least calories I can find are the sandwich thins that are 100 calories. I was hoping someone knew more than I do about breads to buy. Thanks for all your help...

The tuna salad, with a 100 calorie carb added, is in the same calorie range as the rest of the lunches...

I don't think that range of calories will have too bad an effect on you pat. I have the chicken salad fairly often, and haven't really noticed that it's slowed me down. Sometimes I do use a high fiber/ low carb wrap (LaTortilla Factory makes a good one that's 50 cals) instead of a thin. If you're really concerned, you could just adjust your other meals that day...maybe pick a lower cal dinner entree that evening? Mimi's right, once you add in the carb, the tuna salad's really not any higher cal than say the fudge graham bar (one of my all-time faves! LOL)...

I eat the tuna salad twice a week and usually have it with half a Thomas' Whole Wheat Bagel Thin. I have a big salad with it and it is more than enough...

I like to put it on my salad with a packet of tuna as the protein and 1/2 a roll on the side. Now that are garden is producing tomatoes I'm also having it on tomatoes some days. Then I mix the packet of tuna into the Nutrisystem packet..

For the roll I usually use 1/2 a Pepperidge Farm whole wheat hamburger roll which is 60 calories for the 1/2. Between the tuna salad and the 1/2 roll that's 180 calories...

I eat Kroger's Active lifestyle bread, 2 slices is 80 calories. Otherwise, I eat half a bagel thin or sandwich thin...

I have been sucessful on Nutrisystem and I never count calories. I just eat what it says to eat. In the past I would get so hung up on calories I would always get discouraged and fail. Some weeks I've eaten chicken or tuna everyday with bun or Arnold's thin and still lost weight.

That's just my 2 cents worth!!.

Schwebel's makes a light wheat bread that is only 35 calories per slice. I don't think you can get too much lower than that! LOL..

I add a chopped boiled egg to my tuna salad and put it on salad greens and other vegs...
