Your question was: Nutrisystem tips on jumpstarting weight loss?.
Hi Geoff. Tzgaine is right about a plateau meaning no weight or inches lost for 6 weeks. Make sure to take measurements to see if you are losing inches (the notch on the belt buckle is usually a great indicator)..
Some people will tell you to switch up lunch and dinners and switch to lean proteins instead of dairy. Before you do any of that:.
1) are you following the serving sizes for your dairy/protein and fat add-ins?.
2) have you been tracking your calories on-line. Are you within 1400 to 1600 calories per day?.
3) I would suggest that you definitely talk to a counselor. My guess is that you should be adding in some more food if you are in fact working out 1.5 hours per day. The counselors can advise you best on that and tell you what signs to look for so you know how to adjust. If you find that the first counselor isn't that helpful/knowledgeable, call back and speak to another. It helps if you have your meals tracked for a few days in the on-line planner for the counselors to look at..
The reality is that your body make just be taking a break to catch up with your loss. You have been losing at a pretty good rate and that tends to slow down as you have less weight to lose. But some tweaks in the food may help and you may need some more protein to compensate for the exercise routine you are keeping...
Just keep doing your program. You're not stalled. A few days without a loss is just random water/poop/scale variation...
Thanks for your wisdom! Esp the poo factor! LOL!.
Sandy..
Thanks everyone! I will keep on keeping on. Yes, it is more like a week at 220, so I guess it is more of a little rut than a plateau! I am thinking about joing a gym with a pool so I can start switching up my aerobic excercise a bit. I am still committed and following the program!..
