Layla: You realize that eating many small, portioned meals, avoiding alcohol and fried foods, eating low GI carbs, drinking water, eating a lot of vegetables, the proper amount of fruits and salads and healthy fat are going to be required for life, right? Getting frustrated in less than 1 week isn't gonna cut it. This is a long-term, learn to do it right, stick to it endeavor. Have you read and studied the Mindset Makeover?..
And, what did the helpful Counselor say when you called? You did call, right?..
Yeah same here pam, I didnt lose anything the first couple of weeks, sometimes it takes time to adjust, dont worry it WILL work :]..
Thank you Pam. I know I am just depressed. This snow has practically shut down our town and I haven't been out in days. Kids home from school and I started back to school and No, but I am going to call... Doing homework now..but if I don't call tonight I will call tomorrow...Thank you for answering me, I guess the whole thing is a bit overwhelming. At what times do you eat your meals? Is the flavored water gonna hinder me?..
It will get better. The first couple weeks are the hardest. I was so hungry & I was counting the hours between each meal and snack. I started a couple weeks before thanksgiving & managed to lose weight all the way up to Christmas 1 to 2 lbs a week. There was a couple in between without any loss. As long as I wasn't gaining I was happy! Now i'm down 17 and still going strong! Just keep thinking to yourself, I'm not going to lose anything, if I don't change my eating habbits & when the months roll by, before you know it, it will be another year! I will not be in the same place next year.
And I will lose the weight!!..
First, take a deep breath and relax. Getting worked up over this program so early is non-productive. Try to drink as much regular water as you can, but the flavored water (as long as they are sugar and caffeine free) as ok. Eat you meals as you schedule permits, just make sure that you eat all the food, including all of your add-ins, that are required in you program. You will lose the weight, you just won't loose all the weight overnight it will take time, but if you follow the plan, do not delude yourself and take it one day at a time, the weight will fall off and in a few months you will look back at yourself and wonder why you had all the fuss over the program and be proud of what you have acheived. It is not hard to do, really, you just have to be determined and dedicated to doing the best that you can for yourself. Good luck and keep posting any and all questions that you have...
This program is not a quick fix, it took my from Sept 09 to June 2010 to lose my weight. The main thing is to stay on plan and drink all the fluids required to keep the flush going..
The next thing you know, the scale will begin to move and you will be on your way..
The plan does work, I am a living testimony of that one..
You can do it, just set your mind and stay on track, it will happen, we promise!.
