First question I have is Nutrisystem online promotion code? Many thanks for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... So, I like my hot foods HOT and my colds food COLD and I am having trouble heating the microwavable dishes (e.g. tortilla soup, beef pasta, cheese tortellini)..

Last night my microwave was covered in tortilla soup because I insisted on heating it longer than the suggested 1 minute (I checked after 1 minute and the product was still cool). I started microwaving in 30 second intervals and stirring then repeating but I am starting get frustrated because I can literally hear the container jumping in the microwave but my food is not hot enough yet. I even tried taking the product out of it's container and into my own bowl, which took 3 times as long to cook..

Any suggestions???..

I have the same problem and I cook them exactly the time they suggest, drives me crazy!..

Make sure you vent the product or, as Pam said, put them in a microwave safe dish...

Warm it on the stove. The first time I heated pasta with beef it splashed on me and burned my hand in two spots...

I heat mine at 70% power for 70 sec..

I put mine in a glass bowl with a salad plate covering the top.....

Those are all great ideas. Thanks for sharing! The inside of my microwave often looks like a crime scene....

And yet the food still isn't always hot all the way through. I will try these suggestions!..

I use my Kuerig to make the hot water for the dry cup meals, stir and leave sit for about 2 minutes. They are nice and hot when I'm ready to eat them and cooked through. And for the shelf stable foods I found that cutting a 1" vent in the middle of the cover rather than opening one corner of the cover prevents that blow out you get when you open one corner...

I have no trouble heating them like the instructions say but I stir the soups before heating. That lets air into the product and then it cooks nicely...

Thanks EVERYONE! Now, off to a hopefully successful microwave seession!!..

I never heat the foods in the microwave. I use stove top or boiling water..

For an add water soup, I boil the water and add. For the canned soup, I pour into a saucepan, add what I wish and heat...

I have not had a problem with it exploding. I put it in the microwave for 45 seconds to a minute, stir and put it back in for another 30, stir adn repeat until it's hot enough...

2 minutes is usually pretty good for me. sometimes it overflows. sometimes not. just depends on the product...

When I found my spiting over by opening a corner, once I spit in in the center about about 1inch. Well that split it clear across and I lost that meal. Now it use a fork and pierice it several time and cook and 80 to 70 power it still pops but only rarely does it make a mess, but the ones for lunch that have the paper covers I still lose fluid at 70% power guess I'll have to try the boiling water...

Hi.

Today I had an issue with my pasta and beef, that I did not have the last time. It exploded all over my microwave. Lid blew off and it tipped over - kinda funny but one wasted meal lol. Going to get me a couple of those large soup cup/bowls that I have in mt stored household goods, Walmart did not have any so might have to order a couple...

I had the same problem as well until I decreased the power on my microwave to 80%. I also bought a plastic microwave cover that fits over the entree so if it does explode then I only have to clean the small area under the cover rather than the door, sides, top and bottom...

That happened to me yesterday heating the Chicken Noodle soup. The lid popped off & the container turned over & spilled everwhere. I will cover it with a plastic microwave cover next time. Good tips everyone...
