Got a quick question: Nutrisystem Frosted mini wheats? Hoping for any response. My 2nd question... I could really use some support. I recently joined Nutrisystem and I'm really enjoying it. Problem: Im leaving with my family on friday to Mexico for two weeks. I have decided to bring my food along with me due to the fact that I am really motivated right now and don't want to lose track. Does anybody have a suggestion for me? Will it be too hard to stay on track???..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..

It's a great idea to bring your food with you. It might be tough to get in all your veggies unless it's a buffet place, but if you can't, try to find out when a nearby towns market day is and take a taxi to it to stock up on fresh fruits and veggies..

Food that covers your length of stay is allowed only if you need it because of a special diet or for medical reasons. If your luggage gets chosen for inspection (you hit a button - green is go and red is inspection), they may or may not allow you to keep it if your reason is "weight loss", so just a heads up on the risk..

I really don't think it's too hard to stay pretty close to plan even while eating out in Mexico. Eggs & fresh salsa for breakfast is everywhere. Grilled chicken, fish, shrimp, steamed or grilled veggies and a small portion of rice, potato, plantain, or a roll makes an easy flex meal. Just watch portions. Lots of soups can make a good lunch. Stay away from nachos, fried foods, sausages, cheeses, refried beans...and so on..

You don't say where in Mexico you are going thru customs, but here is a Cancun customs link.

I just went on a 5 day vacation and brought my breakfast and lunch with and then ate smart ther rest of the time. I still lost 2 lbs on my trip. It can be done!..

Lexi - good for you for planning ahead. Think it all the way through and figure out what you will need to supplement what you're taking with you. I know it's not Mexico, but I just got back from 5 days in Las Vegas and still managed to lose while I was there. (Weight, that is!.

) I took some meal bars with me for breakfast and lunch, ate carefully in the hotel buffet (portion control and the ability to avoid sauces goes a long way for me), avoided alcohol and picked up fresh fruit and veggies along the way. You can do this!..

Be prepared to lose your food if you hit the red light and get the inspection. Fortunately, I have had mostly green lights in the past 10 trips I have taken to Mexico. Before Costco opened in Cabo, we used to have frozen chicken, cheese, etc. in our suitcases. Now, it's justNutrisystemmuffins and bars..

Ok, so let's assume you get the green light or do some smooth talking to keep your food. The rest is not any harder in Mexico than at home. It will just take some extra willpower, but you can do it..

The great thing about NS, is it is always here to catch us when we return from vacation. I no longer worry about shedding some extra vacation pounds becauseNutrisystemis so easy to jump back onto upon return...
