First question I got is Nutrisystem Core plan list of foods? Looking forward for any response. Another quick question... Tomorrow will be the last day of my first week and I have only lost .4 pounds. I have followed the diet to a T, plus i've been doing cardio. I have about 25 pounds to lose and don't understand why I'm not losing any. I am hoping that if I stick with it for another week perhaps my body will be more acclimated and the weight loss will show up then? Has anyone else had this problem that resolved itself given more time? I had a baby a year ago and am 41..don't know if it's a metabolism thing but I'm very discouraged! I have recently been able to lose more weight on my own!..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably know..

Keep at it and it WILL work! You can call a counselor to review exactly what you have been doing if you want..

One thought, though, is what kind of add-ins are you using? Lunch meat, cheese, canned veggies, veggie burgers are all loaded with sodium. If I even touch them I will retain water and the scale won't budge. I stick to yogurt, eggs, fresh fruits and veggies. Now and then I have a string cheese for a protein, but that's about as salty as I go..

And guzzle your water!!!..

.5 2.0 lbs per week is considered healthy! Kudos to you!.

Q: What type of cardio are you getting (type, duration, intensity, frequency)?.

Q: Are you weight training as well?.

Q: Does following the diet to a "T" include water intake?.

Incidentally, I lost about 9 lbs in my first week and then stayed at that weight for 3 more..

Definitely possible. I encourage you to give it.

Encourage you to try and just let it happen... for instance, if you weigh yourself daily, choose to NOT get on the scale until the end of your second week..

I dont know about you, but Im an obsessive weigher and this has caused me unnecessary stress. Stress is a BIG factor in inhibiting weight loss. And though the scale is a necessary tool, the number on the scale is NOT the best indicator of progress. Even knowing this, I would weigh multiple times a day..

Oh yes. yes yes yes. And Im sure theyll be happy to share their stories with you. This is a supportive community here to help..

Thats awesome! Can you think of anything you did differently (other than starting NS) that brought about your previous successes?.

I forgot to congratulate you on your baby! I had my fourth child at 38, I do think it gets harder with age to get back in shape...but it is possible!..

Thanks so much for your support on this...I was definitely starting to question if this was going to work for me. I'm really committed to staying with it for 3 months - but only if I see results!.

I did not take measurements I was thinking I probably should...but I do not feel any thinner....

Anyways, I will give it some more time, and I did need a little encouragement so thanks again!.

Thanks so much for your thoughts...and your congratulations!.

I absolutely love having a baby and he is worth every single extra pound that I gained! But I do want to start feeling better about myself. I am a very committed person and get very focused when I set my mind to something but also get easily doubtful when my hard work doesn't seem to be paying off!.

I've been eating for extras only fresh veggies and fruits, olive oil and hard boiled eggs..

With work and the baby however sometimes my timing of when I eat everything is all over the place. Do you think that makes a difference?.

Ie I might go a while between bfast and lunch and might end up eating my veggies an hour past when I ate the lunch entree etc....

That's the only thing I can think of!.

Thanks so much for your reply!.

I assumed with my age I would be losing weight more slowly but really did think that I would lose more than 1/2 a pound (less than!) in week 1..

But I will give it more time and see how it goes....

For cardio I am just using the elliptical for 30 minutes at a pretty good pace (Level 4-5) and then I do 200 situps. That's all I've had time for during lunch at work!.

But I used to be in good shape before I got pregnant (I would go to the gym 4-5 days a week) so I know what works and what doesn't for me..

And yes I AM an obsessive weigher, it's a horrible habit!! I've forced myself to weigh ONLY once a day :[ I know that's still not great...I will try to wait a week this next go around!.

As far as losing weight on my own..I don't know what I've done differently honestly...except that I would eat healthy food. I know thatNutrisystemis great as far as calorie and fat intake etc but I cannot imagine that this stuff is actually healthy for you!! It's so processed you know? (and not to sound negative but I really think most of it tastes horrible!!!) I'm honestly wondering if my body is reacting to it and it's hindering weight loss?!.

But again, I am totally committed to losing the weight I want to lose and so if this works for me I WILL stick to it until the weight is gone, no matter what..

I just hope it does work!.
