Hey everyone reading this!!!!.

I am a newbie....like still waiting on my food to get here in 4-5 days. I am starting the N-Diabetic plan and I am really nervous. This because it is so expensive.... so I hope it works and I am not wasting my money..

A little about me......

I have never had a weight problem until the last 5 1/2 years. At 30 I started gaining...and gaining...and gaining. Now at 5'6 1/2" and 245lbs I am desperate!!!!.

My Issues:.

High Blood Pressure (medicated)Asthma (2 medications)Insulin Resistance (medicated)Lupus (medicated)Plantar Facitiitis (in both feet!!) .

I believe that I can resolve and get off the meds for all of these except the Lupus (that is here to stay) with diet and exercise.

I hope I can find some friends to support me and I will them!!!!!.

I hope there are some real success stories and support along this journey..

Here is one person you definitely want to speak with: Linna62.

This is her page:

She is incredibly helpful when it comes to the NutriSystem Diabetic plan..

Hi, SnappiGirl! I ordered the plan today and share the struggle of autoimmune issues with you. I have Scleroderma and possibly fibromyalgia - trying new meds to see if my pain is scleroderma related. Also just found out that I have osteoarthritis and 35 is pretty young for that diagnosis! So, I figured my weary joints would feel better with even a little less weight on them..

Anyway, best of luck to you on this journey!.

All I can say is that I am new like you. In my first week I lost 11 pounds. I am not an expert on Nutrisystem like a few of these people. However when it comes to developing weight lifting and/or cario programs I'm not to shabby..

I need to get going in the right direction. I screwed up. Yet I need to look at myself, make corrections, and move on. Some people will snipe at you no matter what you do..

Good luck I will be rooting for you!.

Wow...that took some courage! Good for you...we are all rooting for you as well. Everyone deserves to be healthy...life is hard enough already, we don't need to add health issues related to weight to the mix!.

Nice to see you had a little talk with the man in the mirror...I'm going to have a little pep-talk with myself in a bit so I can get my workout on!.

I am working on it even though some continue to snipe at me..

Congratulations for choosing a great program!!.

I am not diabetic but I did have very high blood pressure..

After I lost the weight the doctor took me off of the meds so both he and I were very happy about that..

At first, I thought the cost of the program was high. I am Canadian so with the exchange it was even higher... however, when I stopped buying all the junk I ate before, and cut out the eating out and stuck with the plan I found I actually saved money..

I had a very strong mindset that I was not going to put any roadblocks in my way. I wanted to get healthy and I finally felt like I was entitled to look after myself. I am not sure if you know what I mean by that. I just didn't find my own body was a high priority..

I hope you find the strength to make this work for you.. even if it is one bite at a time, make more good choices than bad ones and you can become the happiest loser you'll ever know!.

Good luck, you are worth this!!.

The osteoarthritis I have in my knees started when I was just 18!. Was not overweight at the time. The weight I have put on over the years has put a strain on the joints but it does help being 39 lbs lighter than before starting NS..

Good luck to everyone on this journey. It's a life committment but well worth the efforts.

SnappiGirl10-I normally post strictly on Friends...Taking Back our Bodies but your title to this thread caught my attention. I wish you the best. Feeling pain on a daily basis takes it's toll. Having multiple ailments to deal with must be overwhelming at times. I hope you find success as well as the support you are looking for. We are all dealing with the same main goal so we all tend to be very supportive. Take care..

Sorry dude. I'm just really protective of this program. I'm so glad you're turning over a new leaf and I promise not to snipe at you anymore..

Hi, I am also a newbie. On Saturday it will be 4 weeks for me. I am happy to say I have lost 12 lbs so far. I never was a very good water drinker until now. I find myself drinking at least 8 bottles (16 or 20 oz) a day now. I find it easier to drink out of bottles rather than a cup or glass.

There are some foods I was not too thrilled about but have learned not to order them next time. I do wish that we could substitute some of the meals with the frozen ones. Just too expensive to purchase them right now. Good luck when you get your food..

Today was my first day on the food. I ordered last week - so far I love it and I love that we all have each other to lean on! Snappi and others WE CAN DO THIS!.

I am also hoping to get off BP medication and lower my thyroid med dose. I will never get off that as I recently had my thyroid removed! I told my doctor today I felt like I was killing myself carrying this weight and I have a lot more years I want to live! So let's all do this together!.

This my 7th day on NS. I enjoy it very much. Everyone is so helpful and support one another. Eat your meals, the add-ins (veggies, fruit, etc.) and fit in some exercise and we can all reach our goals. You have my support!!!! Good Luck..

Hi everyone,.

I started nutrisystems about a year ago lost 15 lbs then I allowed life to get in the way. Have gained all of it back and more. I turn 50 in two weeks, have boarderline high blood pressure so decided to recommited to the program on Monday and have been doing good so far. I going to try and use all the tools available and get more involved instead of trying to do it all on my own. Any tips that might help me stay on track is much appreciated..
