First question I got is My orkut is not opening due to the presence of Verisign SSL secured wat to do? Many thanks for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... When you upload images to your products in the admin panel they upload to your server with permission levels of 777 automatically. Does anybody know where I can change this to upload with 644 perms automatically.. After every upgrade it stays like though I am not sure why the core installation would be set up to upload anything as 777... Any help where I can fix this?..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Verisign as they probably could give you an answer..

No all of my permissions are always perfect when I FTP except for when I upload using the browse buttons to upload an image for a product in the Admin panel of OSC...

Function upload($file = '', $destination = '', $permissions = '777', $extensions = '') {.

If (tep_not_null($this->file) && tep_not_null($this->destination)) {.

If ( ($this->parse() == true) && ($this->save() == true) ) {.

Return true;.

} else {.

Return false;.

In the categories.php in my admin I see upload being referenced like this:.

If ($categories_image = new upload('categories_image', DIR_FS_CATALOG_IMAGES)) {.

$products_image = new upload('products_image');.

Neither one of those lines specifies permissions so they would default to 777 (as coded in the upload() function)..

Although, if the admin is properly protected does it really matter what the permissions are?..

Much thanks germ. My admin is properly protected but it has always been a healthy habit of mine to allow no files to run 777 perms on my server especially when dealing with shared Verisign hosting I presume is always a good idea on my part. As well the 777 files are uploaded to the catalog side of the house. Plus in the past had horrible experience where 777 mods opened the door for some trouble on another script all together though..

You are certainly correct here with your post. I have a number of people accessing my admin section do to their association with the site. In the future new people will be access the admin has well due to the nature of the site. Again though really no big risk I suppose as you say but it's just a little pet peve I wanted to take care of and I sincerely thank you for your time..
