Anyone know a group called RPI (RIVIERA PRESTATIONS INFORMATIQUE) based in France?.

...Or a guy named Pascal Bouchareine using as a registrar..

It seems they somehow acquired one of my domains and are using it in bad faith imo..

(I'm real sorry, but until I sort this out I have to keep the name confidential.).

All I can say is that it's a .EU name so I'm not too worried, but I WOULD like to get more info on these people if possible.

Just some french stuff coming up, click translate....but let me ask you...."somehow acquired" means what...did your domain expire?, did they "hack" you?...more info what happened please.

I'd like more info as well but after seeing Liquid's avatar, I'm afraid I'll end up mentally scarred if I have to return to this thread many times!..

Me too SDX, I use this registrar so would like to know of any security issues...

LOL, wait until you see me when I don't use makeup :-).

Ok, I found out some more info..

Anyone know a Valerio Della Rocca and/or Yann SZKOLNIK?..

Valerio Della Rocca | Facebook maybe?.

To that Yann dude, it looks like he is in all the gandi records as admin c/ tech? Yann SZKOLNIK - Google Search.

P.S: give us more info so that we don't have to ask our neighbor psychic about what's going on :-)..

Valerio Della Rocca is a character of a famous soap opera called "Vivere" ( in Italy...)..

Thank you very much for the info guys...not 100% sure yet, but I sense something "fishy" with these "registrants"..

We will surely get to the bottom of this...

Its like waiting for the American Idol results. And the person leaving tonight is........ to be revealed after the break !!..

Is it something to do with this "Moxie" person who uses fraudulant whois information on all his Gandi domains ?

Yes, we believe the domain is being used fraudulently...but very cleverly..

What do you know about this "Moxie" person exsedo?.

BTW, anyone perhaps know a "Guido Miani"?..

You need to provide more details..

But .eu names don't change hands as easily as gTLDs like .com for example, where the registrar controls the whole of the whois record.

Changes of ownership must go through the registry, which means they must be authorized by the current owner (at least whomever has control over the registrant E-mail)..

Or you let the names expire and they were picked up upon expiry..

So what happened ?

It is a fascinating thread. Did the domain drop? Was it moved without the registrants consent? Why are soap opera characters involved? The .eu is a wasteland and there is a dispute mechanism ( ).

Comment #13's an "ongoing investigation"...that's all I can say atm...

You sure know how to raise the level of suspense....looking at your avatar I suspect you are in this kind of stuff more often??.

There is an argument going on at Gandi regarding revoked certificates, I was reading it on Gandi's blog, the argument involves this "Moxie" character using false whois names. Obviously Gandi know who he is as his domains are registered with them. I think the domain in question is googleshares dot net, which no longer resolves...

Ok, I received the personal (recently changed) WhoIs for my "lost" .eu domain from EURid..

I wish they were so caring when it came to losing domains!.

Anyway, I also received an email from the supposed owner's representative that he can URL FORWARD the domain to one of mine for a mere 5,000 Euros (plus VAT) per year!!!.

The name is barely worth reg fee to most btw..

My question is whether this is grounds enough to start a dispute for price gouging, etc.?.

And whether there are any experts/lawyers that could help me with that.

What are the exact circumstances in which you lost the domain ?

That question has already been asked.

Either he doesn't want to tell us, or his middle name is "Hitchcock".

( The master of Suspense )...

Well this is very intriguing.

I can't wait to see how this ends. Hope you get your domain back.

Thanks, but the "new owner" is playing a very clever game with me....

Its not like I'm all out to get it back, just doing this for the sake of justice.

And I will persevere!..
