Got a quick question: Last chance for the pro ana Dukan Diet thats starting tomarrow anyone want to join? Many thanks for any response. Second question of mine... I have a weakness for fried veggies. Fried zucchini at Carls Jr or fried mushrooms at Barneys Hamburgers, those really do me in. Was having a craving tonight, so here is what I did:.

Slice one medium zucchini.

Crush one bag of sour cream and onion soy chips with a rolling pin or pint glass. I do this in the bag to avoid a mess, open one end of bag but crush chips in bag..

Dip zucchini or button mushrooms in egg whites with added crushed black pepper and then cover in the crushed soy chips and place on a baking sheet..

Bake at 425 for about 12 minutes. Serve with FF ranch dressing..

Take left over crushed soy chips, remove stems from 6-8 button mushrooms, chop stems and stir into soy chips, then use the mix to stuff remaining mushrooms and place along side the "battered" veggies to bake..

YUMMMMY! It was really good. I counted this as my veggie servings from dinner and my FF salad dressing. The eggs used were minimal, but I deducted a little bit of cheese from the dairy I saved for dinner to make up for the protein difference. And a dessert..

I will definitely do this again. It was a terrific appetizer. Having a portobello mushroom stuffed with the Dukan Diet mushroom risotto and topped with FF cheddar cheese for dinner. Yum! Next course please.

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could assist you..

DELICIOUS!!! I just made this recipe and the stuffed mushrooms were to die for!! I had a hard time getting the chips to stick to the zucchini, so they didnt turn out quite as nice but they still tasted good! Great idea thanks!!..

I wonder how this would be using the zesty herb snack mix instead of the soy chips? I like fried veggies too, and I don't have any chips in my stash. They aren't my favorite. If I get around to trying it, I'll post a report :-)..

I've made this twice in the last 4 days and it is FABULOUS! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I also tried coating some sliced mushrooms, and they were so freakin' good. I can't wait until my next order of food arrives, so I can make this again..

Here are a few notes from my experiences..

1. Make sure to crush up the chips as much as possible. The more crushed the better they will stick to the veggies..

2. The Sour Cream and Onion chips are better than the White Cheddar. I haven't tried the Zesty Herb Snack Mix. That's next..

3. Use one hand to put the veggies in the egg whites and the other hand to coat with the chips. If you put your eggy hand in the chips, all the batter will be stuck to your fingers instead of the veggies..

Hope everyone enjoys this recipe as much as I have...

Did this again last night using the Zesty Herb Snack Mix. It was a little harder to get the snack mix to crush up enough, but it worth it. Yummo!..

Yup! This was very good. I could use suggestions for dipping sauce tho - because I have never tasted a FF ranch dressing that wasn't awful...

That sounds pretty good, I'll have to try this. I love zucchini and mushrooms so it will be nice to have another way to make them. I usually roast a bunch of veggies that include these and make a batch to add to things..

I made this tonight again - and I also tried it with some shrimp. Instead of the Dukan Diet chips for breading, I used a wasabi rice cracker that I like to give everything some spice (they are fat free and lower in cals than any Dukan Diet snack chip). I pulverized half of the crackers in my magic bullet until they were basically dust, then crushed the rest by hand into crumbs. I then tossed the shrimp in the "dust" (instead of four), then an egg white dredge then the crumbs. I baked for 13 mins at 425 and they came out great! They stuck to the cookie sheet a bit, so I would advise using a grid pattern rack sprayed with non-stick or a silicon baking mat..

They were very crunchy and tasted wonderful! Next time I will season the crumbs a bit more I think - but on the whole they were great. The crust was perfect! I also made the veggies per the original recipe. I ate this instead of a Dukan Diet entree for dinner - 4 shrimp and 10 veggie bites. Totally enjoyable!..

Man, oh man, I want you to come live at MY house! You know all the cooking lingo and obviously really know what you're doing!!! Really a great idea to use the shrimp! When you do that, you don't need the Dukan Diet chips since you have the protein, and the rice chips are your carb. Terrific meal idea!!!..

Genisoy chips have almost the same stats...and you can get them in the grocery store..

I am addicted to the zucchini this way ... I have it at least 2-3 times per week..

Instead of ff dressing (because I hate them all) I use ff sour cream and mix it with different powdered dips like ranch, french onion...by liptons. you have to watch the salt intake because some of these are high in salt but this is definitely more tasty in my opinion...taste more like the "fatty" dressings. except sour cream doesn't lend itself well for dressing on a salad...i use it mostly for dipping veggies...

I would think that you have to count it as a veggie and a dessert (the chips are a dessert) It sounds great. I can't wait to try it. I have some zucchini waiting for me in the fridge...
