I love it this way. It turns it into chocolate cake...LOL You really do not taste the coffee. It just brings out the flavor..
I add a 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. of baking powder, tablespoon of cocoa (free food), some splenda, and use leftover coffee instead of water, microwave it for 70 seconds. It comes out light and fluffy and delicious..
I add some cinnamon now and then..
I put this in a different thread the first day I was here, but it is really good if you slice up a banana and pour the mix over it and bake it in the microwave. It stays a little gooey in the center, but it gets the banana all hot and gooey...

I put a little bit of smuckers sugar free strawberry topping on it, and some fat free cool whip. not too bad this way..
I also do not like the chocolate cake. I use my salad/fruit serving from dinner and choose my favorite fruit- strawberries! I make the choc cake per instructions but put fruit on top then a little fat free cool whip! All that fruit over powers the choc cake. Taste great this way and is very filling!..
I use SF DaVinci syrup for at least half of my water ..... and microwave it for 90 secs instead of 60 secs. After it cools a bit I put a TB of cool whip on it. YUM. You can change the flavor depending on which flavor of syrup you use. One of my favorites is peanut butter, but caramel is good as is kaluah. Not sure if I've tried other flavors or not...
I actually tried the peanut butter also and it was very good. I used the better'n peanut butter which has 2 grams of fat. I was pretty surprised..
Here is what I do:.
Add to cake mix the following:.
1/2 tsp each baking soda, baking powder.
1 tsp each cocoa powder and vanilla.
1 pack artificial sweetner (optional) if you want a sweeter cake.
1 ounce more of water called for on package. Mix and use a tall enough dish to "bake" cake in because the baking soda and powder will cause cake to rise. Microwave, let cool and eat. This is a variation.
Mix cake as above. Pour half of the mix in your tall baking dish. Put on top, 1 tsp Marshmellow Fluff, top that with the rest of the cake and microwave as package directs. You may need to add time depending on your microwave..

I have quite a few mixes so hopefully I will like it.
I've tried some of the other posted recipes and the cake was still not to my liking. I add 1/3 cup canned pumpkin and 4 packets of splenda to the mix along with the water and nuke it for 2 minutes. It tastes pretty good that way. Last night I used my fat serving and spread better'n butter on top and it tasted even better...
Tonight I bundtified my chocolate cake, based on the recipe for Paul's Bundt cake. I loved it..
1 package Dukan Diet choc cake mix.
1 med egg (or equivalent in egg beaters).
1/2 cup applesauce.
2 tsp water (less water than listed on the package since there is more liquid total).
1/2 tsp baking powder.
1/2 tsp vanilla.
I nuked on high for 4 minutes, and added 1/2 cup of soy milk on top..
Like the breakfast bundt cake, this counts as 1 protein and 1 fruit in addition to the dessert...
OMG! This was soooo good; I made just a couple of adjustments, used left over coffee instead of water, added a dash of cinnamon (can't taste the coffee/cinnamon but they bring out the chocolate taste) and a couple of packets of splenda; topped it with my saved fat (peanut butter)....

This sounds yummy, but remember, you normally mix the cake with water, not milk like the pancakes. If you use a real egg plus the 1/2 cup soy milk, that is 1 1/2 protein servings. If you use egg beaters plus the milk, the calories would be in line with one protein serving..
When I tried the recipe I forgot to mention that I switched out the real egg for 1 tbs eggbeaters and it came out great. Skipped the soy milk completely...
I've made mine like this the past two times and absolutely LOVE it;.
1 packet Dukan Diet Micro Chocolate Cake.
2 oz SugarFree Davinici's Carmel Syrup (in place of water).
1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
'maybe' 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon (I sprinkled this in and didn't measure exactly).
1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
Mixed all together thoroughly then spread in a small ramekin that was sprayed with pam. Nuke on high for 60 seconds. Take out and let cool a bit. Then top with a little FF Redi Whip (free food)..
It was delicious! Raised up nicely and more of a 'cakey' texture to it. Rich? Oh yeah! But not overly so, which I was afraid of with the syrup substitute...
My favorite modification of the chocolate cake so far is to mix in one (small) mashed up overripe banana with some cinnamon (the fruit from dinner). I like this even better than using applesauce. I still add in 1/2 tsp of baking powder to leaven the cake a bit better...
I tried the cake for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I made it according to the package directions. It smelled funny and was unedible. I was sorry I'd paid a dollar for it at Big Lots..
Thanks to this board I learned not to bake it the mircrowave. I made one tonight adding 2T. of Kahula DaVinci syrup and 2 T. water, 1/4 t. baking powder and having a blackening banana on hand, I layered one half of it between equal amounts of dough..
It was quite good. I'll have to see if Big Lots has any more..
