What does this mean: Word Mark.
Goods and Services..
What is the word? Search URL's to the patent office are only good for about an hour or so. That is why the link doesn't work again.....
Don't be mistaken. Common words can definately be used and registered as trademarks.
I did find a live mark listed for "Also", serial number 78432423:.
G & S: Musical sound recordings.
G & S: Live music performances and music publishing services.
So I wouldn't recommend using it for a music related website...
Sorry, sometimes eyes play tricks on me, saw the also as in I also regged... http://www.expertlaw.com/forums/post-1846.html.
This is a good article in answer to your question on trademarks on common words and how they relate. From what I gather, it seems to me that it depends more on the use of the TM as it relates to the product or service than it does to the word itself. But I'm not a lawyer. TM is, however, commonly misconcieved as being all encompassing when it's really not. Rather it's targetted not only with the name, but the purpose of the name as well...
Thanks RJ and Sunken. My purpose is just to sell the name also.tv with no intentions to develop. I just did not want to sell if there would be trademark issues...
Yeah, the above posts make sense, i'm glad there's so much useful info around here to be learned..
